I had the same thought.

I thought the same thing as it relates to the metal tunes.  I think the progressive tunes are more exciting and often cleaner and more listenable.  But if others dig Metallica all the way up, party on!

I guess you're right.  I've heard @Mallette cranking calliope music at ear bleeding levels.  Speaking of Dave, I haven't seen him post in a while.  I hope all is well.

Good thread. I'm thinking as badly as it's been overexposed, if you own a good stereo could you really play "Stairway to Heaven" at normal volume?
