JWATS
I'm thinking about upgrading my KG4's and I think I can do it for about $200-250 out of pocket. My use is primarily home theater, and find the KG 4's satisfactory..so I am drawn to the opportunity to make a step up for not much money. If I did this, would the KG4 I am using as a center channel blend well? Thanks for any advice, John

Emile
Haha ... No or Maybe or Yes Had KG4's (in a small stereo room) and always liked them. Upgraded to Forte I's (cost me about $400) and really was not sure if it was any better Think it really depends on the room you will be using them in. MEH Synergy
Klipsch Forte is a KILLER speaker in a smallish to medium room. Shockingly good. Forte I or II IMO. No brainer.

Shakeydeal
The Forte is too good to be relegated to HT duties only. Hell, even something with "Bose" on it would work fine in that environment.......... Shakey
rplace
I actually did that backing the early 90s. Had KG4s got Forte II. A substantial improvement. Ultimately I sold the KG4 and got an Academy for a center. While the KG4 is a nice speaker I could live the rest of my life with only the Forte II. It does so much right I think 98% of the population could have Forte II and stop right there. In 90s money I think I sold the used KG4 for $400 and bought the Forte II for about $1,100. At a net 100 per speaker I'd vote yes.

No way, they are great for Ht, especially if the 2 Ch speakers run circles around them. F 3's L&R F 2's for center and three F2's across the back. John Chi-town
Two ears, two speakers. I have owned my forte II new since 1992. My 2 channel system is my HT as well. So yes, upgrade to the f ii's, and you will be set for life. Regards, John

Someone said the Forte is the most ballanced of the lineup. I can't argue against that.
