  1. Good morning coffee gang.... Chuck AB, thanks for the compliments, hope you are taking photos of your trips across the pond and especially of the organs Ok, watched that youTube, bet that takes a long time, and NO ear protection!, my ears are ringing just watching that ! Mark, Eastern Acoustic Works, built right here in my own state!, factory is a little over an hours drive from my home. We used their products in our touring audio system back in the 80ies. Great products and build quality too ! Here is the home page should anyone want to take a look... http://eaw.com/ Enjoy your day my friends........... ..........Gary

  2. Fence posts with no concrete. What a crappy job. I wouldn't let them in my back yard. Fast? Check. Cheap? Check. Last more than a year without looking like crap? Ummmmmmm????

  6. Morning guys.... Did not get a chance to post yesterday...... Working on the 1st cup and getting ready to walk the grandkids out to the bus stop..... No shop today.....Closed for the day.....it's my youngest daughters birthday today. "21" today, So me and the wife are going to hang out with her all day.....alittle party later today, then we are all going out to dinner to the "Honey Pig".....it's a authentic Korean BarBQ....man it's the bomb. The deck & new grill....will get some pics today for you guys...... The well thing.....we had to get a new well several years ago.....what a pain.... One week our water started coming out slow.....like no pressure....this lasted a few days....then the water was getting cloudy. I had no clue what was going on. Someone told me...oh your well is going dry.....what the %#&$..... We talked to the guy down the street....he is an "old" well driller. Been doing it longer than I've been alive. He told me he did my well when my house was 1st built back in the 70's.....He said he did 90% of all the wells in the county we lived in. He shook my hand and said "I'll have a drill rig in your back yard tomorrow". He said we would hit water at about 150 feet and this would cost me about $7000. The 7K would cover pulling permits, set-up, drilling, all the pipes, new well pump, hooking up the new well to the house and the filling in of the old well. "Well" what was I to do? Two days later and a new 175' hole in my back yard we had water.....oh yea....gotta have your water!! OK guys I'll check in later....I'll try to get those pics....wishing all a great day.... MKP :-)

  8. EAW's speakers are made in Italy, woodwork/Assy is done here got to know two techs there pretty good in the last year.

  9. I asked because I thought that was what you were talking about, a neighbor did this years ago and tried to talk me into it but I was chicken. Paid someone to drill it 375" and the water has no smell or taste. I don't know if it would help but these post drivers work very well for T post, it may be better than a sledge hammer ? What about a rental store, they had gas and air powered drivers I thought about trying one of those. Another Idea is this.

  10. I am coming up on my 15th year (July) here I have seen a lot in that time frame. The days of Parrot, MobileHomeless, Q-Man, HornEd and many others are gone unfortunately. I have learned tons and helped many.

  11. Yes I prefer concrete as well, I wouldn't use this for fence post but to run my well pipe sure why not. There are advantages and disadvantages to using power tools to run a sand point. Time and energy are a couple, Some times you end up damaging your couplers when you use power tools. I might just try the fence post driver that Dtel posted as I have seen some use them before. So far I am 8' down, and may only have to go another 5-10 feet. There is another method using a 1/2" drill and a water attachment. The water acts as a boring aid when sprayed down the middle. More tools I don't have and don't feel the need to purchase.

  12. Oh yes there is a right answer: Keep them all and sell the wife instead. With her gone and all her stuff, you'll have plenty of room for all the Klipsch you have or want to have. Problem solved. EDIT: my wife does not frequent these forums, otherwise my opinion would be different.

  14. It sounds like the one I purchased last fall. I have had good results so far. Either side can be used as a grill depending on how large a surface is needed. It does seem to use a lot more fuel than the Brinkmann gourmet bullet style smoker and take more attention, but I'm still on the learning curve with it. BTW, it is great for babies----baby back ribs that is.

  15. I was searching some old threads for pics of some our speakers. I was overwhelmed by some of our old threads that seemed to have a repetitive theme. Forum members, helping forum members. Visits that we made to other forum members' homes. Dtel's appendectomy, JWC's scoring the MWM Grands, our Cornwall III's that we won at the Piligrimage. Boxx, Oldbuckster, and Marvel's references to his first wife.....members that have left the forum for various reasons. I was completely overwhelmed! So, I am a girl....but I sat in tears as I read some of the old threads. Y'all have become such an integral part of our lives, and we could never thank you enough for being part of our family. I would love to bump some of the threads I am referring to, just for all the newbies to see! What do you think???

  16. Afternoon all. Didn't post this morning. Pretty decent but slow day. Had to get my crummy back worked on by a brutal message therapist but it will help. duder ... sorry about your well situation. Hope it turns out ok. Bummer. Mark, same for your ebay deal. Another day of 'weather'. Major attitude adjustment will be in order if this keeps up. A couple of doo-*** tunes should help so will fire up the instrument. Cheers, dammit.

  18. Well I was setting here earlier reading drinking coffee and the daughter walks in with boiled crawfish, so it was crawfish with boiled sausage for breakfast, then a banana. Now it's more coffee while I wait for the wife to get back with a part for the pump up sprayer, the tip broke off when I went to spray some weeds. Summer is coming, thermometer says it's 85 right now.

  19. That's closer to how they drill wells here, it's a drill tip but it also pumps a little water down the pipe at the same time. What is you could find a cap, like the one your hitting but with a 1/2" threaded hole to put something to connect a hose, let the water washout the bottom of the hole. Problem is you would have no where to hit it down. No but how about the same idea but with a nipple and come in from the side. The only bad part about this, is the whole reason I am running a well is no water[emoji16]

  22. Were going to be thrilled to just have a normal picture again, the picture is so bad in the first 5 minutes you can't even read the menu to find what's on, it much better after it's warmed up. These things happen with old age. Thanks everyone for all the ideas

  23. Hang on...see if Chad can, without a lot of issues, create a "Klassic Klipsch" forum with you as the editor. You can pull up something "new" from the old files, pin it for a week, the release the pin and put up something else. You could take requests, etc. Sounds like a NATURAL to me! Dave

  27. I would keep the CH II above all others, then the CW. Another variable would be are you 2 ch only or is there one set of these that might want to be built up to a 5.1 rig? The KLF is the only series that was built with a purpose-made center and surrounds.

  28. First, can you carry a note, lol. Lol it's not me that does the singing. Trust me on that! It's my wife's friends that wants me to have karaoke when they come over. But of course I am doing it in my living room! then you will have a true party - these speakers are very awesome

  31. Good Monday Agternoon Gang Just back in from my farm visit, shot the new SubPanel to the waal in the Barn shop. Day Over. Projected next visit, Tuesday for Conduit run, well that was projected, because i told these farmers about this Killer Klipsch Deal on the Bay, they ask, so whem are you gettin them ? I pondered that statement, like i did with coffee and the wife this morning. Just submitted my offer we shall see. The wife said if i dont, i will be kickin myself for the next year, because she knows these are the ones i wanted before buying the EAWs. These are just too dam hard to find, cannot let this deal go by.

  33. That Clematis is lovely! Nan will want one, if she does not have now. Friend bought a Brinkman baby smoker(?) to replace another one for Memorial Day. It has 2 covered compartments and uses wood/coal(?) We'll see if any good. Not for babies...OT

  43. Well when I was kid I'd take a trip Every summer down to Mississippi To visit my granny in her antebellum world I'd run barefooted all day long Climbing trees free as a song One day I happened catch myself a squirrel Well I stuffed him down in an old shoebox Punched a couple holes in the top When Sunday came, I snuck him in the church I was sittin' way back in the very last pew Showin' him to my good buddy Hugh When that squirrel got loose and went totally berserk Well what happened next is hard to tell Some thought it was Heaven others thought it was Hell But the fact that something was among us was plain to see As the choir sang, "I surrender all" The squirrel ran up Harv Newlan's coveralls Harv leaped to his feet and said, "Somethin's got a hold on me!" The day the squirrel went berserk In the First Self-Righteous Church In that sleepy little town of Pascagoula It was a fight for survival that broke out in revival They were jumpin' pews and shouting, "Hallelujah" Well Harv hit the aisles, dancin' and screamin' Some thought he had religion, others thought he had a demon And Harv thought he had a weed eater loose in his fruit of the looms He fell to his knees to plead and beg And that squirrel ran out of his britches leg Unobserved to the other side of the room All the way down to the Amen pew Where sat Sister Bertha better than you Who had been watching all the commotion with sadistic glee Shoot, you should've seen the look in her eyes When that squirrel jumped her garters and crossed her thighs She jumped to her feet and said, "Lord, have mercy on me" As the squirrel made laps inside her dress She began to cry and then to confess To sins that would make a sailor blush with shame She told of gossip and church dissension But the thing that got the most attention Was when she talked about her love life And then she started naming names The day the squirrel went berserk In the First Self-Righteous Church In that sleepy little town of Pascagoula It was a fight for survival that broke out in revival They were jumpin' pews and shouting, "Hallelujah" Well 7 deacons and then the pastor got saved And 25,000 dollars got raised and 50 volunteered For missions in the Congo on the spot And even without an invitaion There were at least 500 rededications And we all got rebaptized whether we needed it or not Now you've heard the Bible story, I guess How He parted the waters for Moses to pass All the miracles God has brought to this ol' world But the one I'll remember to my dyin' day Is how He put that church back on the narrow way With a half crazed Mississippi squirrel The day the squirrel went berserk In the First Self-Righteous Church In that sleepy little town of Pascagoula It was a fight for survival that broke out in revival They were jumpin' pews and shouting, "Hallelujah" The day the squirrel went berserk In the First Self-Righteous Church In that sleepy little town of Pascagoula It was a fight for survival that broke out in revival They were jumpin' pews and shouting, "Hallelujah"
