Here is an example you are maybe familiar with of progressive blues/rock, almost at times a fusion liken to jazz. Super Session Bloomfield Kooper Stills Columbia Records:4 points

I have the Heresy 1s which are probably 35 years old also. To my ears they still sound great. But according to previous poster it may be time to do some maintenance. I am not handy with disassembly a speaker. Does Klipsch offer a factory refresh program or have a recommended refurbisher? Thanks2 points

You know it's summer when you only have to raise the temp in the smoker by 100 degrees if it's in the sun.2 points

I've been telling myself that for years, but it really never happens. Was at the daughter's house today, mixing bags of quickrete for a pad for new AC's, my shirt was soaked and I was in the shade. The bad part is when you stop for a while and your shirt dries off, you quickly start to smell like roadkill.2 points

Carl- That damn "auto-correct" is at again. Didn't you mean it was so hot you "moaned" at about 130?2 points

Regulation or not, if you operate one of these, have some courtesy, respect your neighbors. Not that difficult of a concept to understand. Do unto you....2 points

Lol, yes could be. Sounds authentic. I need no soldering iron in my hand so, glad it is working out. It is just the elaborate system German technology could excel at... Reminds me of a song, earsplittenloudenboomer.2 points

Years and years ago some friends and I went to the (Iron Horse?) where they had a house drink called a Derailer. It came in a big bucket. We convinced the folks that we wanted a double Derailer. The drink was strong enough to start melting the plastic bucket...you could taste it in the drink! One between three of us, and we were trashed.2 points

Agree, think I know. Just thinking today about how I got into progressive music. Seems Prog Jazz like Miles and Johnny Winter for blues and Beck for Jazz also but, had to get there from rock. Hope makes some sense. Other examples too...2 points

Yes Billy, it is a variable drive pulley system... A cone shaped shaft goes up THROUGH the pulley expanding it and contacting it as you turn a mechanically (linked by a cog belt) knob. It is made of many 'fingers' and I bent one of them, lucky it doesn't create any 'flutter' in the playback, but I figured a new/used one would be nice... But, leave it to the Germans to come up with THAT idea huh ? So, I found one on eBay and it came from the Nederlands..... Fellow that sold to me, his last name is Hoogenboom .....2 points

Its paid off for me many times as well Its how I stumbled into progressive music in the first place back in the early 70s So one can say that it was a positive result that turned into a lifetime of pleasure2 points

Just posted this over in RTM. Figured I'd post it here as well.. Hey all. Just got back from the Car d'Alene in Couer d'Alene, ID. They block off the streets in downtown CDA, car's line them on each side, there's an auction, music, some live, food and drinks of all flavors. The wife and I shared a Mai Tai that came in a bucket. Sunny, some clouds, 70 degrees, and your right by the resort and CDA lake, near perfect. Here's some pics that my daughter took; This was my favorite of the day. Was really nicely done. A very nicely done Caddy. My wife's favorite.2 points

Yes, the RX-V583 is rated at 80W per channel @ 2-channels driven, probably much much less @ 7-channels driven, but still plenty to power a Klipsch center channel. Note your RP-450C is worth more than your Yamaha, so at some point you will want to upgrade. But since you already own it, give the RX-V583 a shot.1 point

Not sure if they have a FACTORY program but you really don't need that. Its not that hard to do. Willjam2 where are you located ? You could just send the crossovers to Bob Crites....do a search.....or get the parts from him.1 point

Some have said that album changed the beat of jazz, maybe 5 beats as may recall. Of course same can be said of the Dual TT you have going on. Wait, then there are the new speakers. Has to be sounding great...cheers!1 point

There's no perfect choice. I consider Led Zeppelin the greatest rock and roll band there ever was. These are among my favorites: Thank You The Rain Song Night Flight Down by the Seaside Ten Years Gone All of My Love1 point

My father in law used to be the president of the Michigan corvette club. It used to be fun with the autocross and drag races. They weren't limited to corvettes so you could enter whatever car into whatever class and still enjoy yourself. I found out though being close to many of the main members that they secretly disliked the owners of other cars. Sort of a snooty bunch, which I would put my in laws into that class as well.1 point

...and that is all enjoyed through a brand new pair of these........Klipsch's flagship RP-280F towers, less then a week old and sounding mighty fine1 point

A next door neighbor of an owner of Klipsch KHorns and Lascalas "knows they work" I like it. And just to clarify when we ask you to post pictures, we mean of the actual parts not something similar you found on the internet. Good luck with your(her) sale.1 point
