My hot sauce however goes a long way to restoring the balance of the universe when paired with it.5 points

Yeah, with my experience in Hawaii I am no stranger to their food. It is good, and even better with hot sauce.5 points

I love Italian food, but after marrying a Filipina I switched to rice for my starches. Lost weight and feel a lot healthier. Been around 148-150 for the past 10 years. It's 76 here this morning... supposed to hit 87 today. Have to go buy some new floor tiles, a bunch popped loose and have broken. They have some crazy ideas on technique here. π5 points

Thanks for the input @jbsl slightly more helpful than give it a try . I too have read the tube buffer does not add much. Also read that something beyond the stock tube helps. However I'm purely interested in the passive side of things. I don't need a preamp, I just want to add remote volume control to my existing preamp/system. I'm surprised with all the vintage gear in use somebody has not addressed the remote volume issue in some stand alone form. For my set up I'm talking purely vinyl to a tube preamp. I have an external phono stage for the turntable so the preamp sees line levels. This is my setup without remote volume. Turntable >> Phono Stage >> tube preamp >> Tube Mono Blocks. How best to sit on my butt and control the volume; sort of a long stick with bubble gum on the end? Since posting this I've also come across this from a Polish site. They guy tells me no problem adding it after the preamp and before the amps, but pretty pricy as just a remote control. http://www.khozmo.com/stereo_selector.html At this point I'm really just looking for input on the effects of something between the pramp and amps. I find it hard to believe I'm the first person looking to crack this nut. I did find this interesting solution to the problem.5 points

How expensive is Spam on the islands? It's about $2.64 at home and the equiv. here in the Phils. It's definitely a culture thing here from WWII. I love Spam and eggs... put turmeric on the eggs while cooking and hot sauce on everything when eating.4 points
-
Spam isn't Filipino. I'm not sure it is really all that tasty either. The origination was in the survival food nature from history. It became a part of the culture post war time. I don't mind it in small amounts in a fried rice, but seriously? It is shelf stable in the can, but priced what a sirloin steak is on the mainland per pound. So it is not even cheap considering the quality.4 points

Well, we do potatoes too, plus a lot of diff veggies. A fair amount of pork, bbut it gets boiled before cooking in whatever dish is being prepared.4 points
-
In Italy, pasta is a small first dish. I eat both, and potatoes. It's not the choice of starch, it is the balance of the diet.4 points

I NEVER tried hot sauce on eggs or really anything else. Always thought it would just mess things up. Lately it's been mushroom/cheese with egg in the morning for breakfast THEN I though WHY the heck not? Yup, the addiction is REAL! π3 points

I wasn't there for any of the conversations, but had I heard in the beginning that you wanted to buy just a horn lens, I would have told you that 'my understanding' was that they simply don't do that.... they don't want to be in the parts business for DIY'ers, just like Roy said... My take on it is you perhaps spoke to someone who frankly, might not have known better.... and now their ignorance has put you into a bad situation. I've got an idea... first, do I understand that you have one horn with mumps and one without? If that's accurate, I have a 510 without mumps. Personally I'm agnostic about them and don't care if I have mumps or not....my horn is sitting in my closet with nothing to mount it to. I'd be happy to swap my without mumps for your mumps, this way you'll have a matched pair and I can have some mumps in the closet.3 points

we have grackles... not so much fun every day all year... my wife doesn't like spaghetti. I asked what she does not like. ... She does not like the sauce....or the pasta now it gets confusing.... She likes mine. It traditional style in my family. I really don't know what to think. Maybe I should have her secretary tell me whether it is good/authentic or not. She is a professional chef. I am thinking of offering my service as a sous chef for her when she goes to Kona over the holidays. She has folks pay her to cook for them there. Yes, they do pay her air fare, too3 points

While you shouldn't believe everything you read online, this wiki article about Spam seems pretty clear. We only get the lower sodium version... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_(food)2 points

This is a little awkward, but it looks like I have more pictures of me and a girl than pictures of the Klipsch exhibit. I have made up a couple of good excuses for this. 1. She is very pretty. 2. There were no Heritage speakers on display. Here is a photo I took of a TV image, just to brighten up this dull posting.2 points

OK Chief ... apologize for my negative comments ... was just pretty disappointed that I was unable to get a replacement for my "old" 510 horn as it seemed "reasonable" (at least to me) to get a matching set of horns for my 904's. And ... my request for a "picture of a broken horn" was in jest ... I just wanted to start a conversation and looking back on it, it was in "poor taste." Regards, Emile2 points

Bologna is a cooked, smoked sausage made of cured beef, cured pork or a mixture of the two. The bologna might include choice cuts, depending on who's making it, but usually contains afterthoughts of the meat industry - organs, trimmings, end pieces we have a polish market... that uses only good ingredients.... So if you go to Wal-Mart.. Don't know the quality of their products.. https://www.polishfoodutica.com/our-history2 points

@Emile. Perhaps you could make your own "mumps" with modeling clay. From what I understand that is how the chief made the first one and you have an example to follow.2 points

I have a B&C price list. There are 4 versions of the DE75 listed. One of those is the DE75PK. I can find data sheets for all of them except the DE75PK. I suspect that is the one Klipsch uses. Bob Crites2 points

Hi Travis, I don't have time right now to track down what you're looking at ... so let me explain. The OP has been trolling this forum since the beginning of November. He started with an "Appeal to Authority" (argumentum ad verecundiam ), and then "Argument through Repetition (argumentum ad nauseam). He's been using these logical fallacies to bait and troll. That's the only pattern I know about ...2 points

OK; let me try to explain this again. I now have a set of KPT-904's with 2 DIFFERENT horns ... one "old" horn with a K-691 driver and one "new (w/mumps) horn with a K-691 driver. Just trying to get this system back to ORIGINAL/UPDATED specs. You think it is unreasonable to request Klipsch to remedy this? It is only Klipsch' unwillingness to serve its customers and "broken promises" by them that we have to resort to "other" means. And NO "bro;" there are no serial numbers on these horns.2 points
