  2. Today an addition to my vintage-system arrived: A KT-7550. I couldnĀ“t test it, power-switch is stuck in the off-position. Apart from that itĀ“s very clean, both from the outside and inside. IĀ“ll send it to a technician tomorrow. HeĀ“ll refurbish it and he will also modify it to make it compatible with DAB+ standard.

  3. I am testing to compare my pressing with @AndreG. In my 1975 UK first press I canā€™t hear what you have described The only section that I may find a little flutter in the lower register of the flute section of that track, but thatā€™s what a flute does when one tries to go deep into the lower register Artist - Steve Hackett Title - Voyage Of The Acolyte Album ID - https://www.discogs.com/release/1433178-Steve-Hackett-Voyage-Of-The-Acolyte

  7. Think ole John is workin his way to the head of the class. He's pushin buttons now. lol Funny cuttin someone loose with good taste. šŸ˜‚ Leon Russell is the debut solo album by the singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Leon Russell. It followed his debut with the Midnight String Quartet and a production by Russell and Marc Benno billed as the Asylum Choir. "A Song for You", written by Russell for this album, is a slow, pained plea for forgiveness and understanding from an estranged lover. The tune is one of Russell's best-known compositions. It has been performed and recorded by over 200 artists, spanning many musical genres. Elton John has called the song an American classic.

  17. Hello everyone! I am thinking of purchasing a used pair of Heresy 2 (2001 model according to serial number) in very good condition at 800 euros. Is that a good value? is there anything i have to look out for? My space is about 18 square meters and I have a good sansui 771 vintage receiver. Thanks in advance !!

  19. The Browns actually played some good football. Bellicheck needs a punching bag installed in his office. Baker Mayfield needs to get re-timed up with his receivers. He is about 18 inches off. JJK

  20. Some confusion on my part. The D150A with 75 watts per channel was the one I was referring to and not the d75.

  21. I have several D-75s. I bought them for less than $150. each. I have used them with khorns and lascalas...I don't think there is anything better for the price for heritage; dead silent, XLR inputs and gain control...perfect for bi-amping. Yes my expensive tube stuff sounds better.

  30. John Allen would have a replacement for you. He uses it in his speakers for theaters , HPS4000.com would be the website. Give him a call and he could give you a price. He also has the k260 horn which he also uses in his systems.

  31. Hi All! Severe financial challenges are forcing the sale of my beautiful pair of Klipshorn speakers with the Eliptrac wood horn insert. Walnut. Extremely dynamic and also smooth. Just wonderful sounding speakers (as I'm sure this group knows) with phenomenal range. I'm asking $5000 for the set. Pick up in Southern California, in Simi Valley (Southern Ventura County). George

  33. You should stop. You often seem out of touch. The parts are high quality, they just happen to be the wrong parts for a vintage Klipsch rebuild. My personal take is that their networks just donā€™t sound that great. Actually, most business goes to Crites. Accessible customer support Online shopping Overnight shipping Payment plans Free returns Nothing Jim or me offer can satisfy the appetite for instant gratification. I certainly have no desire to build junk so I can compete with what amounts to a small factory. Iā€™m out in the wilds quite a bit, and there is no end to the complaints of poor customer support and lack of real support for the vintage stuff - and almost everyone is absolutely tired of the K-77 tweeter. I am incapable of building an argument to continue its use. Sorry,

  36. If I lived closer, these would already be in my possession! Unfortunately, shipping is always the deal killer! These play well with Klipsch speakers, filling in the bottom end very nicely. Someone buy these, you won't be disappointed.

  37. The Heresy IV should sound wonderful. While I've be configuring some larger horn speakers. I've been using my older Heresy II speakers in a large room, 20 x 22 feet with 9 ft ceilings. The Heresy IIs sound great.

  39. My ā‚¬65 stylus for my SL DL1 tangential sounded off this week, and this morning, spinning a Bill Frisell record, there was huge distortion so I replaced the stylus with an old one costing ā‚¬25. Blown away by the better sound. Can't see anything wrong with a loupe, though. End of life cycle? Less than a year old. But spinning a lot of old albums....

  42. Teasin the neighbors today! In a Silent Way is a studio album by American jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Miles Davis, released on July 30, 1969, on Columbia Records. Produced by Teo Macero, the album was recorded in one session date on February 18, 1969, at CBS 30th Street Studio in New York City. Macero edited and arranged Davis's recordings from the session to produce the album. Marking the beginning of his "electric" period, In a Silent Way has been regarded by music writers as Davis's first fusion recording, following a stylistic shift toward the genre in his previous records and live performances. Ahhhhmaaazing! It's a ride and a half!

  45. DC [Direct Current] can't produce Hiss, Hum, or ANY sound at all! Test this with a 1.5 V DC battery connected directly to your speaker. The woofer will move once and stay there until the battery is dead, turning the battery DC energy into HEAT, not SOUND. Not a Peep! HUM is usually steady 60 or 120-Hz buzzing from AC power wiring sneaking into inadequately shielded patch cords, or faulty grounding. Ancient tube amplifiers with failing filter capacitors might go "Hmmm" as the owner tells you "It Hums because it doesn't know the Words!" HISS is thermal noise of random electrons partying inside your preamp, you have to turn the volume way up to hear them - they are very small. If you enjoy HISS like I do, get a Ham Radio and talk to me on the air! 73, NƘCRE "Can't Remember Everything" FCC Licensed since 1960
