Soooo... back in my younger past, I played lap steel with Marvin and Gentry. These guys are now in their 60s, and have played together since they were in high school. They did some work with Dan Peek, one of the original members of the band America (Horse with no name, Sister Golden Hair, etc). Dan passed away in 2011, and Brian and Ken have been working to re-release some of his music and things they did together and redo some of the music.4 points

Hi fine folks! Happy to share tracking info for those getting anxious but confirming I'm monitoring and seeing a lot of books landing between Dec 4 and 5th, regardless of proximity to Alabama Domestic orders of single books are USPS Media Mail, FedEx for 2 or more books. International orders are mostly FedEx 2 days with the exception of Asia + Oceania. Trust me, we strategized on these ship rates enough to become the confused math lady meme but we got there in the end! To those who didn't get a chance to order via Kickstarter, please email @Travis In Austin as the Museum has some copies to allocate. If you are feeling nervous about delivery, please reach out to hi@loveinjection.nyc and we'll get you sorted with a tracking link. Love the beautiful photos of your setup at home with the book. Keep em coming! Thank you for appreciating the book, we are elated that you're finding it beautiful. It was our intention that it be a representation of the craftsmanship and quality of the speakers we love so much. Best, B+P3 points

I was working at a factory on a little hill. There was about 4 inches of snow on the ground when they called it a day. Oh ... did I mention there was a stop sign at the bottom of the hill?3 points

That looks like - Organised Kaos or Chaos ?. Or is it Could be a combination of both Info below Define Chaos Chaos is a state of complete disorder and confusion. It is characterized by a lack of organization, structure, and control. Chaos can be found in various aspects of life, from the natural world to human behavior. In nature, chaos can be observed in the unpredictability of weather patterns, the randomness of natural disasters, and the complexity of ecosystems. In human behavior, chaos can manifest in the form of riots, protests, and other forms of social unrest. Define Kaos Kaos, on the other hand, is a concept that originated in ancient Greek philosophy. It refers to a state of disorder that is not entirely negative. In fact, kaos is often associated with creativity, innovation, and change. Unlike chaos, kaos is not characterized by a lack of structure or control. Rather, it is a state of flux, where old structures are broken down and new ones are formed. In this sense, kaos can be seen as a necessary precursor to growth and progress. Here is a table summarizing the differences between chaos and kaos: Chaos Kaos Complete disorder and confusion State of flux Lack of organization, structure, and control Not entirely negative Associated with social unrest Associated with creativity, innovation, and change3 points

Blah. I'm running PLuna on my LS and they kick butt allllll day long. Back off the gas, give those new LS time to marinate, stop listening and comparing the CW's and CHILL with that new system you put together. Don't even try to piss off the neighbors now cause they won't get it. Stash some cash for the new PWK subs and quit trying to hear things you never heard before. Be gentle! Just let them breathe a bit and break in. They'll blossom in time and you'll hear it all happen. THEN get off the wine and hit the bourbon, step on the gas a bit and watch what happens. Sure you're gonna need some bass but sit back and chill cause that's down the road and another treat for you to look forward to. THEN you and everyone else will appreciate what you have. Slow and easy brother. I love my Prima Luna and threw a set of Gold Lions in it fwiw. I'm nevah goin back to SS. Try counting backwards from 10 for a lil change of pace. It's a challenge for me but I think you'll make it.2 points

BOOM! A box on the porch this morning! All nice and quiet here in the hood so I must have gotten the official okie dokie from all the law enforcement agencies! lol Nice package is all I can say after a lil walk thru. Glad to see the "Dope from Hope" definition early so perhaps these won't get purged as readily as the old style ones did. Since I got an extra copy of this one too for "good ole Duckburg High" I'll be dropping one off tomorrow to the librarian. Hopefully she found some things from long ago she had laying somewhere. Either way, if ONE kid learns something from them both I'll be happy. This piece complements the initial book so wonderfully well. Hats off to EVERYone who made it happen.2 points

If someone is tuned in to a specific characteristic of a loudspeaker: imaging, soundstage width/depth, a specific timbre or coloration that they tend to like, whatever, they'll gravitate to a speaker that gives them what they want. I think we horn-heads gravitate to the dynamics of speakers like Klipsch. Folks who don't crave dynamics will look to other speaker types or brands, and would probably describe the sonic delivery of a horn speaker as being too "in-your-face". This doesn't mean other speakers are bad, or that Klipsch speakers are lacking. Rather, we all just like what we like.2 points

Sometimes I take my Klipsch speakers for granted. A good example is when I go on vacation or away from home for an extended period of time. I get used to watching TV, listening to music, etc on whatever TV is available. Then when I return home I appreciate what I have even more.2 points

Yep, kaos is how I've been working since July! Wasn't aware of it until now, good info @Full Range I'll be at a different level of it next week that's for sure!! Early Christmas and who knows what else for me this year!2 points

Hahaha love this thread and all the enthusiasm! Yes I'm just going to give it a lot more time. Lots of amazing useful tips and thoughts here. I think the clean bass is actually what threw me off before - as someone said, I maybe got used to the muddy bass from a direct radiating speaker like the Cornwall. I think the real insights will come when I get a new amp so I can power both my cornwalls and my la scalas which are in different rooms! I will most definitely report back once I do that. Thank you again everyone for being amazingly helpful!2 points

Too many to list individually but many thanks for clearing this up for me and putting me on the right path, greatly appreciated. As much as I love the look of the sixes I think I'll be keeping the amp and sending these back and spending the return on something else without the bells and whistles which I don't require. Thanks again!2 points

The first was a CD Blues Compilation, the second a analogue Vinyl Rock Tape and the third was a CD Soul / Funk / Jazzfunk Mix . To give you an idea how it looks when I´m a busy DJ 😂2 points

Changing the fuse is not the problem, but so much the reason why this sub blows fuses? How come other subs don't blow fuses like this. I think maybe its a DEFECT in the products that klipsch does not want to acknowledge. ------------------ http://www.autodirectsave.com1 point

Yeah, there is always a temp rise after pulling from the heat. And it's important to give it rest to let the moisture stay in.1 point

Got leftover stuffing? Heat up on your stove top with plenty of water. Stir frequently and keep adding water until in turns into a coarser version of oatmeal. I call it "mush" to my mind it definitely tastes better than regular stuffing. A yummy leftover.1 point

Things like that are going to depend on your seating position, room, etc. For the best imaging, generally having the speakers aimed directly at your head on both a vertical and horizontal plane is best. So, that could involve both tilting the speakers back or forward depending on the height of your speaker, height of what you're sitting on is and your physical height. I've experimented a lot with my speakers over the years and found the results to be like yours. I have my L/R Heresys on stands that are a little over 30" tall I believe and that puts the drivers pretty much centered with my ears while I'm seated. I have them aggressively toed in and have an equilateral triangle between me and each speaker. With them set up that way, the soundstage is absolutely huge, with sounds extending far beyond the outer edges of the speakers.1 point

Hi guys thanks so much for the response! I guess there are ways to connect a subwoofer without having a separate output... And yes most definitely will wait for the hornloaded subs! Also please advise on the different models of Primaluna! 100, 200, 300 - is there much to gain by spending more? And how does Decware compare to Primaluna? Any other brands you'd suggest?1 point

@Div where do you have the level controls on the back of the 1206 set? And what do you mean the speakers are clipping? Do you mean the current overload LEDs on the front of the 1206 are illuminating?1 point

For those that want one, please let me know. We will have a few for sale at the museum. But I will see what can be done.1 point

My first real system was purchased in 1992, with a brand-new pair of forte II. I owned for 30 years prior to selling to a forum member and purchasing forte IV. INMHO one of the best all-around speakers by any manufacturer. Are there better speakers? Of course. However, to my ears the forte line focuses on the whole sound, rather than specialize in a certain area. I never bought in to "chasing the dragon". At 57, these will be my last speaker purchase, and I am more than satisfied with my decision. I hope you are reunited with your fortes soon.1 point

The magic of the La Scala AL5 and Tubes sometimes things just come together if your open minded. They appear about 1:45 in the video and you can tell they are still like little kids having fun with this audio stuff after decades in this hobby. miketn1 point

They benefit from a well implemented sub just as a Klipschorn would but “need” is more a situation and taste dependent factor IMHO. Dang and here I’ve been enjoying my Cary CAD2a3 SE mono-blocs on my La Scala AL5…. 🙂 miketn1 point

I saw a pair of La Scalas on craigslist at a great price. I am pretty certain that I don't have the room for them, but hope to in the future. I would love to pic them up, would need to get some utility out of them immediately as I am looking for a pair of Speakers. So the question is: What is the absolute smallest space that you would consider putting these speakers in?1 point
