Height should be high enough to be able to clear solid obstacles and to be able to trim height as height does not always get it.

I think that's where my biggest problem would be, 75'-100' trees on most sides of me, between that and being on the fringe I don't think I have a shot.

Well I'm off to go cut some grass, my sisters grass about a mile away and then the rest of mine. So this is extra music time for me, earbuds with ear muffs on top of that, this way I don't need to turn it up to drown pout the tractor noise, works great and relaxing.

That's what soccer moms drive.  Time for something a little sportier!

You are overlooking a big benefit of wagon style cars...habada...habada...habada.  I hope you at least have tinted glass, Tarheel.

I kinda figured being a wagon the back seats fold town.  Only thing better on wheels is canopy with mattress or camper/motor home.

To me It's the prettiest time of the year by far in NC and Tenn, pretty amazing really. Have fun and take some pics.

We like our Volvo wagon. Plenty of room for the trip down to the coast. Nancy like it for it's safety features. It does handle nicely. It could handle the mountains last July, but we went together in a rental Ford Edge. At times, I felt like we were almost over it. Good brakes, a must! :emotion-21:

As it stands about half are in eingrish, good enough for free, now on to the "C" band 8'.5" Dish for more free chit.

Yes Bud's (Big Ugly Dish) still have free stuff, Detel would do well with one of these critters.

Rain yesterday now clear, cooler, and sunshine.  Lady friend in the shower (sorry no pics) and me having a first cup.  Critter is pouting about sharing his time with someone else.

Pick up the Volvo at 10:00 and then off to the NC mountains to see the sites.

See you guys on the flip side.

Cheers :emotion-44: Gents

Good job Mark...I like free!

C-Band will always have something in the clear as, it costs money to encrypt everything.

Of course, could get a 4DTV and subscribe.

Enjoy the ride with your ladyfriend. Jake, smart dog! :)

Digging on my inwall sub/amp for reinforcing the 5.5's :emotion-44: Purty nice outside...

We had one many years ago, then they started scrambling everything, we were left with only shopping and religious channels. It was cool how it moved to point to different satellites, and like during a football game it stayed on the commentators during commercials and you could hear them talk about things they would never want people to know. I remember watching a game and during a break one announcer told the other announcer that at halftime he was going up to one of the suites he was invited to because the food was great and there was some really prime beef walking around in that room he wanted to check out.

And you were on the forum??    It's nice that we still rank higher. When are you going to get Jake a lady friend?  Are you giving him rawhide to keep him busy?  Even though both my labs are neutered, the older one (6 1/2) sports a lot of wood.  Should have named him Woody.

We were teenagers still living at home and had the 8' dish. In our case you could get most of the SATs by aiming the dish parallel to the driveway. Then there was Telstar 3 which had some porn on it but you had to crank the dish all the way across the sky and actually perpendicular to the driveway. One night driving home from the ballpark my mom said to dad "Leon, looks like the boys have been watching porn again" pointing at that big dish in its awkward position in the sky. Too funny.

Tv is working good, game viewing is great, so im done with this Cave upgrade, next up is the "C/Ku" band of the big dish.

24 transponders on each Sat x2 if you switch to the Ku band and yes 75% are indeed scrambled, however im going for the live feeds.

Any big dish owner knows what im talking about. Live news feeds are always somewhere, still have two old receivers that seem to work fine.

20 years ago there were a good amount of Sats, today they have doubled in number. noticed the new receivers have a search function and pricing is under a hundred bucks!

Ebay has everything needed these days, and dam cheap too.

Sounds like Tarheel has his extended weekend planned.

Yessir, nothing like live feeds ,wild feeds. Hybrid satellites w/C/Ku even Ka on some of the DTV carriers for locals. When I got started there were 12 transponder C sats still alive. An old Western Union sat.

Now that photo, I can see your antenna. The other photo shows the top of your dish. craigslist has dishes all over the place. Some decent dishes for the taking w/some or cheap enough. You could put some C-band system or w/ Ku for practically no money at all.

Enjoy! :)

Edit: Drinking a cup of 8O'Clock Hazelnuts... :emotion-44:
