Neil Peart dies at 67

Recommended Posts

Another great musician gone way too soon.  He was the TOTAL package EVERY time he walked out on the stage and the entire world knew it!  The REAL DEAL!  MANY great drummers but damn he soooo took it to another level EVERY time!

RIP

Moving Pictures was the first CD I ever owned.

Still my favorite Rush album.

If you can, please donate $21.12 to your favorite cancer research organization.

Top ten band of mine for sure. I saw them twice. Love all their music. Really love getting lost in 2112. RIP!

That's one of the best rock albums ever made.

Wake up lost in an empty town
Wondering why no one else is around
Look up to see a giant boy
You’ve just become his brand new toy
No escape, no place to hide
Here where Time and Space collide

You have entered the Twilight Zone
Beyond this world strange things are known
Use the key, unlock the door
See what your fate might have in store
Come explore your dreams’ creation
Enter this world of imagination

Xanadu was first liked and continued from there.

Rest In Peace...

Seriously... who hasn't air drummed to a Rush song! I'm with Dave 1290. I saw the other drummers on the 'best of' list ahead of Peart and I will disagree till I die. He played two separate kits for years with an amazing syncopation to jazz beats. He did more on his kit than I have ever seen live or on film. (Disclaimer) I am such a fanboy.

Ha ha! I actually posted before I saw this guy airing it out. He's good! Obviously has/had his own kits, I'd say.

I must be a metal midget! I never got that they were talking about one of the episodes of the show until I was just reading this. But to my defense back in the day,I was usually higher than a Georgia pine!😎

Don’t feel bad.  I’m not a head banger either. 😉
