    • O.K., I'm not discounting either side here, but here is what the guy said that put in the antenna when I showed him your suggestions.   "Definitely never ground radio to house neutral. It a unique problem to ham radio. Fine for all else though"   "Stereo antennas receive only, they don't transmit. Which is why it's different."
    • Horizontal ground rods ARE acceptable if buried 30" below grade. A single ground rod would point AWAY from the house. I would run the ground wire in a plastic conduit on top of the gravel layer then once past the gravel dig down the 30" and place the ground rod. Actually, once past the gravel you can drive the ground rod vertically, which is more effective.   Grounding to gas piping is acceptable if it's done on the CUSTOMER side of the meter. "Underground metallic piping systems typically include water service, well castings located within 7.6 m (25 ft) of the structure, gas piping, underground conduits, underground liquefied petroleum gas piping systems and so on. Interconnection to a gas line shall be made on the customer's side of the meter (IEC 60364-5-54:2011, section 542.2.6 and Annex B; and NFPA 780-2017, section 4.14.6)." It's also acceptable to ground to the electrical service neutral bus. If your electrical service is grounded properly, "jumping legs" is a minimal concern.   Since your polyphaser is already outside the house, it's too late to extend your RG-8 into the house where it belongs. Electrical tape alone will not provide the waterproof seal for long term reliability.   If you want, contact me and I can supply you with the proper material and instructions to better insulate your polyphaser from water infiltration.

    • Sadly I am paying for ROON, PLEX Pass, and Spotify.  With the streamers I use, I can stream Spotify and ROON.    I suppose if PLEX had this announcement a couple of years ago, I probably would have stayed with it for music as I primarily only stream HI Res on one system at a time.
    • @CWOReilly yeaaaa, buddy!  Crank it.  Double from East I think?  Think I've got it but not sure.  Have a bunch of their stuff.  Much better than "Wink it!"  😂   @parlophone1  Another good one!      @Full Range & @dirtmudd always pullin sumpin good out too.    Been spinning a lot lately just no time to post.  Busy couple weeks so all chill today and unzipped this double gatefold to check it out.  Dave Alvin & Jimmy Dale Gilmore teamed up to throw down "Texicali." Now both these guys can play guitar but at $35?  Yea ok, it better do something at that price point.  Right?   Two-heads?  Yup, the Texan and the Cali boy's hook up for sumpin just a bit different.  They both worked the vocals and hit the strings.  Nice lil mix but it took me to side 4 til I got a lil Texas swing goin on the last track of two on that side.  Yea, I get it.  Texas is different and maybe I expected more.  Afterall, "THEY" said it was great.  Maybe if it marinates in a  pile here for a while.  It's good but.  You're call.      They just played @ the Fur Peace Ranch down near Ohio University in Southern Ohio Sunday.  Sold it out and I heard it was aa great time, which is why I unzipped it.  Maybe it's curmudgeon mode but glad I didn't drive 3 hours one-way to hear 'em.
