Stevie Ray brings back great memories spent varmint hunting with my son. We were sleeping and I woke him to "Love Struck Baby" . Which I had turned up to more then a comfortable level Poor kid jumped up from his seat in the jeep and banged his head on the hardtop! He Spent the rest of the trip trying to get back at me. Seen Robert Cray, Stevie Ray and John Hiatt at outdoor amphitheater in Salem Oregon. Rained, cold, But it was great. They keep coming back and giving us more.6 points

talking with a couple guys via text this morning, i mentioned wishing i lived closer. he said the forum is so spread out and we would make great neighbors. i immediately imagined a whole neighborhood full of klipsch members, where everyone is cranking good tunes, no one ever gets pissed off, and the absolute best block parties of all times!! wouldn't that be so cool!! happy thanksgiving everyone!3 points

Everyone be safe out there driving to see their family, there are a lot of idiots on the road. We are headed to Kansas shortly. There aren't to many people here that I wouldn't get upset over if something bad happened, so please everyone be safe for the Holidays! Roger3 points

City folks just don't get it. My closest neighbor is far enough away that I sometimes shoot my rifle in the middle of the night and don't have to worry about anybody calling the cops. Pissing off the neighbors doesn't apply to me.3 points

Happy Thanksgiving coffee friends!! Up early for no good reason and that's okay. Baxter has more sense ... got up, went out and then back to bed. Guess one needs to get mentally prepared to smoke 25 lbs or so of turkey so here I am. I'm thankful for so much in life, including my forum coffee buds. Will try to check back later before the chaos ensues. Blessings to each of you. Chuck3 points

Jake had his meal early.......no complaints from him. Dry food covers strips of flat iron steak. That is covered with green beans and a pin wheel of steak strips. I will be at an Irish restaurant named The Harp for a traditional Thanksgiving buffet. Happy Thanksgiving to my coffee klatch buds! Cheers Gents3 points

no one would have lower level anything. opus and youth would find all the good deals, and a few guys in the klipschood would own trucks with covered trailers and we would all rotate out on trips around the county to pick up the absolute best deals on all the good gear. its just keeps sounding better and better in my mind. lol Where is this neighborhood, I'M In2 points

Yes, some people at every level game the system. The poor however pale in comparison to the rich at this game.2 points

I think that's against the Klipschood's HOA bylaws. Bieber too. And no country on my cul-de-sac. Happy Turkey Day everyone!2 points

I have been involved in helping the homeless and needy for about a decade now. I won't go into great detail, because that would sound like boasting. The way I see it, political leaders are backed into a corner. What do they do? Thinks about it... Also, the government cannot feed the people. They have admitted that. They rely on institutions like this to fill in the gaps. It is a catch 22.2 points

The politicians are out of control and their protectors (law enforcement) seem willing to do whatever they are told. I, for one, could not and would not enforce a statute of this sort. But apparently others are willing.2 points

That would be a lot of fun for sure. We could get to hear all kinds of setups, speakers, gear, room acoustics. Man, I might not ever leave my neighborhood again.2 points

Unfortunately these laws and the arrests that follow are increasing the last several years across the country. I applaud those who are willing to stand up to this time of abuse. It used to be that we could do whatever wasn't illegal. Now we seem to need permission or permits for everything. Generally, these arrests stem from lack of permits. The permits are expensive on a daily basis and only exist to deter the activity in the first place. Kudos to all who stand up. If we can't as a country feed people, then we as a people must. I am the CEO of a nonprofit that runs a shelter and we will be feeding many today. You would be amazed how many have come to the shelter in recent days looking for a turkey or other items for thanksgiving. Nearly all are working people-though in jobs that can't support a decent lifestyle. Remember that 20% of children in America go hungry every day. Thanks for sharing the video.2 points

kodomo, I started with the k77 tweeters then when with APT200's also tried the Beyma's, the Fostex tweeters put a nice touch of air and elegance in the sound. Plus and I mean a big Plus I put them on top of the cabinets and was able to time/phase align them with the mid drivers big plus!!! I had ALK Universal Xovers for years, now I am using a custom built set using the same values as the Universal's just much better parts. Like 8 gauge air core inductors on all three drivers, all Sonicaps and Dueland resisters and a custom autoformer I think by Northcreek. Anyway the sound is just ALOT smoother than with the Universal's. I never heard the need for subs before just listening to my system but, when I started using gear to measure the frequency response it plainly showed the need for them. I am sure this is due to the fact that I use a 2wpc 45 type amp. The measurements showed the low end rolling off at about 90hz or so, so I crossed the mains and subs at 80hz and have never looked back. A very seemless intergration of the subs after some trial and error and plenty measurments!!! I now have a pretty flat FR from 15hz to 20khz with about a 6db drop from one end to the other.2 points

Not turkey but you did get the good stuff, that is some good strawberry jelly, I know I had almost the exact same thing about a week ago. Every one have a good turkey day, and if you have a house full of family, try to behave, it's only one day.2 points

Got the day off work today. I'm out in the garage listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn at levels that belie the time of day. The track saw is humming as I'm building a sub for my son's Christmas present. Life doesn't get much better than this. Have a good day guys. Back to making saw dust.2 points

Getting your rain now billybob. Suppose to clear and turn cooler this afternoon. Critter patiently waiting to be walked. May make another cup of coffee as the usual two is not enough this morning. LF is gone but calls 3X a day. I have one of her guitars, a Taylor, but going is slow. Mostly watching beginner lessons on YouTube. You guys have a great Thanksgiving and don't worry about me. I have a loaf of multigrain bread and a jar of crunchy peanut butter so all is well. Jake has a new bone and a spiffy new collar. Cheers Gents2 points

Couple of cups of coffee with Baileys mint chocolate this morning. Yum. Don't usually drink in the AM but hey its Thanksgiving. Better half had to work at 4:30 this am, she's a nurse. Spent the morning setting/hooking up a mixer into my HT so I can adjust levels and such on the indivdual channels separately. Tired of being told I have to play test tones to adjust, i want to adjust in real time. Some pix later if i can figure out how to post. HAPPY THANKSGIVING ONE AND ALL. We have so much to be grateful for1 point

Yes, we ooglers of crossovers would be an evolutionary dead end if not for the understanding and love of our spouses. That might be a little extreme... I'd take my wife over a network without a doubt.1 point

The climate has been changing since the earth was formed. Over the last 450,000 years or so there have been 5 temperature cycles. The current cycle, the second warmest recorded, has peaked and is now trending downward. The warmest cycle, the one previous to the current cycle, occurred before man began using fossil fuels. Those who suggest "man made global warming" are ignoring a lot of evidence to the contrary.1 point

I have 6 first reflection panels built so far, plus 8 bundles of R60, and R80 lining up (temporarily) behind my 2nd row of seating. I am thinking i might need to boost the 150Hz , and below a little (down to 60-80Hz), and then boost my subs to get a little more of a typical house curve for movies. Here are my curves... Rear sub.. front sub.. left channel speaker for reference.. What do you think?1 point
