  1. Where are the pictures of this alleged project? Ok a couple, just cause you asked.I ran some rg59 for my interconnect. I just received the Brystons the other day from JWC. The horn in the center goes on top of the Lascala, which will be my center. I added some braces and gave it a fresh coat of paint (which i need to work on). I applied some water based poly to give some added protection. This made them a little shinier than i wanted, but still looks good. By the way its hard to paint inside the dog house area. Oh and i routered out one of the cavities in the back to add binding post. I have materials to build a pair of Belle bass bins which will be my left and right. I must say even though the center horn is not hooked up. It sounds as if all the audio is coming from it. These amps are sounding pretty good. I need to play with eq and adjust the gain, as there is alot of floor noise. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

  3. Good thing they didn't have to do that, from what I hear missing a big toe can throw off your balance pretty bad, you would have been really messed up.

  4. I had to have my thumb put back on my left hand when it got ripped off....It's fused but I can still grip thinks....Like tools and car parts.... That's a good thing.... I'll give it a thumbs up They said if my thumb will not stay on they would take my big toe and put it on for a thumb.... I would give that a thumbs down MKP :-)

  5. True no thumbs makes it tough, a friend is missing a thumb, screws things up more than you would realize. But for him it's not his biggest problem, he's crazy, but fun, can you tell ?

  6. This was just a joke she played today. I'm sure she will love it because we just bought our first house and the basement will have a pretty powerful setup down there that should be pretty awesome.

  13. Duder, that looks nice, it should sound great, is that a spud sub or the bigger models with the same design ? Nice size space, I love the way a good size room sounds, it gives everything a little room to breathe.

  16. My secret is to NEVER question my wife when she wants to buy something (within reason). Wife: I want to buy an overpriced Michael Korg purse Me: Yeah, that would be nice honey. You definitely need a new purse. I figure the more times I have those in the "bank", the easier it is to cash in on it when I want to buy more speakers. Not sure she's ever seen my list of speaker that I've owned though It is funny that one day I mentioned having 3 subwoofers and she said, "I thought you only had two"....oops! Good thing I have a false wall for two of them to hide in.

  17. I built a spud also, I love it, it even keeps up with the MWM's when crossed at 40hz. I thought about building another, for one on each side but never got around to it because there is no shortage of bass with just the pone, maby one day ? I use it for HT also with the forte ll's and with the forte's set to small and the spud running the bass is really good for movies. It's amazing how much output can be had with that design with 2 small drivers and it fits pretty tight along a wall.

  19. I do not understand the science, nor do I want to. I know what sounds good and what does not. Money IS a necessary evil. However, desire is an excellent motivator of creativity. A while back MKP told me he was online with a guy and they were working out a 'trade.'. He said we were going to load both vans, with all rear seats removed, with various speakers. Amps, drivers horns we weren't using and drive to PA for the swap. He seemed excited so, cool. Road trip. We got there, unloaded, reloaded 4 kp362 speakers that are AWESOME! Now we have a set at the shop and the other set waiting for us to build our basement system....oh, and big ev's for the deck... OK...wait a minute....we just got the chorus 1's back, so we moved the chorus 2's over a little to make room, the heresy's on each side of the sw15 2 sub, the Polk SDA 2.3, and the lascalsas flanking the "wall" o'klipsch. He says now that we got the finished set back, we are gonna get rid of the other ones... I told him I don't want to get rid of them... I love the crown amp and wouldn't mind having another.. And I forwarded to him the emotiva that someone was selling... O M G .... I think i might have a problem??? I need an intervention...

  20. It's easy for us to laugh but the reality is this is likely from an estate sale. The kids probably know very little about Klipsch and they are just trying to get as much as they can for them (can't blame them). Seller seems like a very nice guy.

  25. Thanks, yes it is a spud sub, I have two more drivers and enough wood to build a second. The room is approximately 30' deep, with the bar area towards the back (its under construction). But when back there the sound really opens up. Its one of my favorite places to hang out in and enjoy music. On a coffee note I decided to try Gevalia dark royal roast. I must say I am not impressed. So far to this day the best k cup I have found is good old Foldgers gourmet dark roast.

  26. I've got one of those, used to have two of them and a 1969 1/2 "G" code Boss 302. Both 67's are "S" code 390 big block 4 speed GT cars. The one I kept is a deluxe interior with wood grain steering wheel, both consoles, tint, tach, passenger mirror, exterior décor with pop open GT gas cap, turn signal hood, and amber GT fog light bars, tilt, fold down rear seat model and my first car from when I was 15. It has 82,000 original on it. They are only going up, so stop wanting, and buy one. Roger

  27. I was almost you, my friend. Until my ex left me due to unrelated matters. Apparently daddy issues are commonplace these days. The irony is I turned 26 this year, and she would be turning 23...chances are I wouldn't be here had I stayed with her though. She was a Sony/Bose fan. Wouldn't know good gear or sound if it smacked her in her dumb, ex face........bless her heart.

  28. If it drives on rails, you're not driving hard enough! Yeah, my S2000 is my track car. I started competing in NASA Time Trials at the end of last season and I'm already digging it over HPDE. It paid out a free set of Hoosier R7's my first event. It's helps that I placed first in my class. I couldn't drive this car daily, especially mine. It's small, it's stiff (although good Ohlins coilovers), and drones... But I don't even daily my STi, which I could, but when I drive it, it's because it's a nice day.

  29. HAHA! It looks to me like you have a wife with a sense of humor. I'll take that over passive aggressive any day. Women build nests. Everything anybody ever says about anything needs to follow that fundamental rule. As a man, you need to understand just how important this is to a woman. If you have a wife who digs audio and big speakers, then great. If you have a wife who tolerates audio and big speakers, then respect the nest. If you have a woman who turns the radio off on trips because the music makes her nervous, then build a man cave 20 minutes from your house and fill it with all the stuff you want as long as you can still provide for the family. edit: Yes, my shop is 20 minutes from my house.

  31. There's a reason I call my wife the PAW...Perfect Audiophile Wife. She not only has supported my insanity but retirement to devoting my remaining life to the Regional Music Heritage Center...which includes Klipsch, of course. Pretty sure she's a keeper. Dave

  32. BigStewMan, Your family isn't strange at all, I couldn't help but chuckle at this.... :) One day at the cemetery, my Aunt sees her sister-in-law there. She tells me that she wonders if her brother died and nobody told her. Instead of going up to her sister-in-law, she decides to go to the cemetery office, give her brother’s name, and ask if he’s buried there. he wasn’t...he was still alive.

  33. Thanks for all the good input. I might take a look at them tomorrow. If I like them, I'll offer $200. I already have my Modded K-horns, RF-5's, Frazier Model 7's, plus some B&W bookshelfers, cheap pioneers, cheaper Yamahas, etc. Don't really NEED another pair of speakers......

  39. That agreement doesn’t prohibit you from making trades. If you’re really in a bind, you can trade money for speakers. Hey, it was her wording on the agreement not yours.

And when I tell her I don't have the coin, she ends up buying it for me. I keep hoping that I come home one day to find that '67 Mustang Fastback in the driveway I have been telling her I want for the last couple of years....
