That was the good thing about older engines, get spark and gas and you're good, not like today's where you need a computer and any of the 200 different parts that tend to break.4 points

logged on the forum one day and shared how my wife wanted a divorce. Immediately, Rob told me to come out there and stay with him for awhile to clear my head. And that was even after i continually teased him that The Stones were the most overrated rock band of all time (yes, i was joking...everyone knows it really Bruce Springsteen).4 points

Some have said that album changed the beat of jazz, maybe 5 beats as may recall. Of course same can be said of the Dual TT you have going on. Wait, then there are the new speakers. Has to be sounding great...cheers!2 points

@Jdaniello, Welcome to the forum. Very nice speaker system. Have you considered placing the RP-250S as your side surrounds and RP-160M's as rears? Can you take a photo/photos of the side and rear surround placement? Bill2 points

@Marvel Hey Bruce ... my elder cousin gave this guitar that belonged to her biological father. No markings on it at all; but, by the unique head (doing some internet research) it looks like an early 30s Kay archtop, hollow body with a violin head (i also heard it described as a Cello head). The internet photos that i’ve seen of the Kays from that era look just like this; however, not sure why there would be no label? Anyway, it’s really beautiful and now it’s mine!2 points

Evening gang 104 on the farm for awile Working on the speedboat under the shade tree Farmer comes out in the yard and says Bar is open! on the house as usual. Now in this town of Nicholes there is ONE business, it's the Bar. He opens when he wants, that would be two days a week, and he picks the days From what i understand the bar owner calls everyone and lets them know Tried to fire up the engine, ignition system dead, just ordered complete replacement from ORilles. Will pick up on the way before it gets too warm. 104 again is what they say........2 points

I have listened to Saxophone Colossus by Sonny Rollins and must say with no break in and no real positioning these speakers may be the best $1000 I have spent on audio. They are that good. Nice full/tight bass and great imaging. With the LS/Altec speakers a move to either side of the middle sofa cushion gets you out of the sweet spot. The 280F is not that way. Fit and finish is very good and they are attractive. I'm driving them with the Quicksilver Horn Monos and a Quicksilver preamp and nothing is lacking. Thanks to Gary for his help.2 points

Just finished putting together a highlight video from InfoComm. Danley Demo room was awesome. Wish klipsch had consumer products at their booth but InfoComm is for the Professional market. https://youtu.be/eVIdW01ok5o1 point

From the photo, I would say that the side surrounds are way too low. I personally think all surrounds should be at the same level at approximately 2 to 3 feet above ear level while seated. Your RP-250S is at an "acceptable" height but the RP-160M is just too low, IMO. Bill1 point

Considering how many humans are easily duped into adopting well documented addictive habits such as tobacco usage, hard drugs, etc..... I'd agree that too many of us are still thinking using woefully shallow critical skills. HIV/AIDS is again on a steep increase despite all we now understand about the ailment. Can't fix stupid.1 point

I'm actually encouraged. What that tells me is that millions of Americans think it's funny to tell some annoying survey taker that chocolate milk comes from brown cows. They probably called at dinner time.1 point

For the record no one has contacted me but I am reading the thread. If it gets down to a personal level (which it's heading) I'll lock it with apologies to the OP. Hopefully there's enough respect here for the OP not to be selfish enough to cause his thread to be locked. Take the pissing contests to PM's where I can't see them.1 point

I'd say $600'is a good price. I paid $500 for my first set of La Scalas and they were almost basket cases.1 point
