In addition, we'll be posting daily "vlogs" on our YouTube channel (and will also be available on our website at klipsch.com/ces during CES - stay tuned for that and for more announcements) Lots of exciting things going on! CES 2018 is Jan 9-12.

  3. Yes 'Heel my best thoughts also. And making "that" decision is the worst which like several others here I have made too. But even worse and one I still live with is Not making the correct decision and waking up on an Easter morning to find my Golden hadn't made it through the night. And I should have been there beside her and wasn't. Sucks badly --- Best

  5. I don't know how he learned that. I can only guess by that metal tag on his fin he must have been captured, taught to use the camera then set free. I only wish I got a picture of the one using the camera. No we were not permitted to socialize with THOSE neighbors. However we did pull into this one cool island where in the harbor, a guy....no lie...had built his own island by hand with conch shells and cement. It's called Happy Island. All of our neighbors gathered there to watch the sun go down and drink rum. Way too much rum. The next day, underway, I was not feeling the love from the waves and rocking of the boat and ended up "chumming" the waters. Amazing how quickly all the fish showed up to eat second breakfast. The entire island - a bar and a couple of palm trees - Genius! View from Happy Island looking west Builder/Owner/Bartender

  8. Terrible location though. Chuck lives in the neighborhood. Of course you could probably use that as a negotiating tool to get the price down though.

  11. Good morning CCC people! I'm drinking coffee, have some cable stuff to do later...best to finish off the day with a cocktail, no? Very windy and light snow north of Baltimore. All those island pix have me itching to get out of here. Below are some pix of a sailing vacation a few years back. First our sailboat, then a turtle I snapped snorkeling with a cheap digital camera. Finally our neighbors for a few days of the trip. Yes that is a private boat. They had their own security detail that followed the lady swimming every day in a dingy. When they went ashore 3 guys swept the beach water to land side to side talking into their arms like secret service guys.....crazy....my security guard was a few bottles of Hairoun beer

  15. Crazy run of weather for sure! "Bomb Cyclone" that's a really cool title too! (though I don't know that SE TX gets to be called that).

  16. I'm so sorry Chuck. It's the worst, making that call. Dogs give you unconditional love for their lifetimes, then they rip your guts out when they leave. They're worth that end of life heartache I suppose. No sugar coating this part though... You are in my thoughts. I will raise a glass to Jake tonight and my cup of coffee to him this morning. He's been a good family member to you!

  26. That’s amazing. How does a turtle learn to operate a camera? Those are great photos Rich. Were you permitted to socialize with your neighbors?

  27. Thanks for the input @jbsl slightly more helpful than give it a try . I too have read the tube buffer does not add much. Also read that something beyond the stock tube helps. However I'm purely interested in the passive side of things. I don't need a preamp, I just want to add remote volume control to my existing preamp/system. I'm surprised with all the vintage gear in use somebody has not addressed the remote volume issue in some stand alone form. For my set up I'm talking purely vinyl to a tube preamp. I have an external phono stage for the turntable so the preamp sees line levels. This is my setup without remote volume. Turntable >> Phono Stage >> tube preamp >> Tube Mono Blocks. How best to sit on my butt and control the volume; sort of a long stick with bubble gum on the end? Since posting this I've also come across this from a Polish site. They guy tells me no problem adding it after the preamp and before the amps, but pretty pricy as just a remote control. http://www.khozmo.com/stereo_selector.html At this point I'm really just looking for input on the effects of something between the pramp and amps. I find it hard to believe I'm the first person looking to crack this nut. I did find this interesting solution to the problem.

  28. I second the P38s. They are as good as any high end speaker that I have had and are easy to drive (compared to others). They also do not take up very much space. I'd keep these above all others.

  29. As crazy as that sounds I do believe I would rather see some of the "ladies" of WMart is two pair of jammies opposed to the summer wear I have been witness to -- in this case, more is better.

  31. @Woofers and Tweeters I had not thought about that, but just one speaker would be cruel and unusual punishment, so have a pair, but only of the same speaker.

  36. I enjoy my F3 - a lot. Class A, single ended, 15 watts, JFET output devices. It's Class A so yes it runs pretty damn hot. But it's worth the heat in its performance and in reality is no hotter than holding your hand over several tubes glowing. Back to back A/B against a couple big name Class D's brings me to still favor the much less powerful F3. For me its just hard to beat any good SS Class A for refined, transparent sound.

  37. See: I've owned an F3 for about 5 years now--and it's powered my TAD TD-4002 drivers mounted on my K-402s on top of my Jubilees. @mikebse2a3 is the author of the linked thread above, and I believe that he stated that he has two F3s, and has used them to bi-amp his Jubes. Let's just say that I'm not giving up my F3 anytime soon... Chris
