That constant wind like before a ts or hurricane hits used to come in late Jan or in Feb every year where I was living in NC. Something about where the mountains were in relation to the weather system moving through. Even that 25 constant is noticeable if you're trying to paint outside you might have to reschedule. Kielbasa anyone? I just noticed that this is the same as my Chicken Cacciotti except for the fried chicken and pasta. Didn't have any bowties or anything so used egg noodles. Like it grilled with pepper and onions, this has a clove and gets tomatos and the pasta. Just smells great at this point when it's almost browned good.4 points

Somebody finally got around to making a documentary on the vinyl revival called Vinyl Nation. Starts streaming this weekend I think on something called TV-14. I have no idea what this is or if there are other ways to view it but I thought I'd pass it along. Here's a link to the trailer: tv-142 points

Haha; same here Always was around 800 and now it came down the last several months to 730 And we pay in full every month. One possible explanation (???) is large/many purchases on a single card; say up to 50% of the card limit. No clue why, but read it somewhere2 points

No telling why that happened, but does it really matter? I have never even checked my credit in these 58 years.2 points

Installed the new Klipsch Ti tweeter diaphragms today after cleaning out the old ferrofluid and adding new. BTW, the old ferrofluid was still very much a liquid and absorbed into the paper cleaning strips that came with the ferrofluid. Just out of curiosity, I did a crude frequency vs. SPL test on the original poly vs. new Klipsch Ti on one of the tweeters. All the parameters were consistent for both tests (same tweeter and meter position, same test tones, same source and amp volume levels). See the attached images for the test set up and a plot of the results. The differences between the 2 diaphragms surprised me. I mean my testing was crude, but it was consistent. 🙂 I was kind of hoping that the Ti would be flatter than the original poly, but the poly is actually more linear in this test. Any thoughts on how to interpret my test results? Have not had a chance to listen to the new Ti diaphragms yet - will do that later today and tomorrow.2 points

From NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts... Punch Brothers with the amazing CHris Thile (the whole group is simply amazing!). The first two minutes is an intro and happy birthday to Chris. Then it's on to another world. Incedible arrangements and playing as always. Catch his other group Nickel Creek, too.2 points

The new Jubilee bass bin is actually heavier at a hair over 400 lbs. because it's made of MDF. I was told that needed to use MDF due to its better consistency/dimensional accuracy.2 points

As far as I know you have a ProJect 9cc tonearm , yes he also has this string Antikscating , my cousin has the same tonearm on a Music Hall MMF 9.1 We have constantly had problems with the antiskating . With the SME you can set that exact, there are no problems. My cousin has replaced the 9cc arm with a Jelco tonearm. Now he is satisfied.2 points

Back to business , the SME is built up and sounds better than ever before . In two days I´ll install the MA 505 MK II . In the meantime I use the Micro Seiki AX 1 Armborad to place record covers there. Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention " One size fits it all " This picture shows the bronze cutting bearing which supports the arm. The following work was done on the tone arm - Arm completely disassembled and cleaned - Vertical bearing cleaned, sprayed and the bearing play precisely adjusted - Cleaned the contacts of the headshell connector and checked the ease of movement of the spring contacts. - Replaced plastic cutting bearing with bronze cutting bearing - Cleaning and polishing of the horizontal bearing seat - Rewiring of the tone arm with ultra pure copper stranded silk wire - New 24 carat gold plated RCA jacks The SME 3009 Improved S 2 sounds quieter, at the same time also more dynamic, finer and more natural. Voices are more graceful and realistic. The stage structure is clearly better. Width and depth are a bit more pronounced. So, I like the tonearm very much and in my opinion it has made a real class leap. Wonderful, I do not regret a cent !2 points

I only went up to 0.75” because my K-55-M were at 0.75”. It was an early mod. I’m now using Dave’s Fastrac horns with Crites A-55-G drivers. These have the 1” throat. I’m also using Crites CT-110 tweeters. Stock AL3 crossover with a few mods. Enclosure was originally painted black, later brush painted by original owner. I braced and cherry veneered it, finished with espresso satin.2 points

That's strange. Youngest does a ton of electronic deposits in her business. She told me to get rid of my Paypal because they weren't bank. She said they will also hit your credit report over returns/complaints . They hit her score over something she knew nothing about. She sent a detailed email to them and they just left it on. She was done w/Paypal at that point. Mine's gone too. She said the one thing people don't understand is PayPal is NOT A BANK! Just about everyone she knows has had problems w/them. Good luck!1 point

I run it w/google maps so it can yell that shortest route to me. Gotta turn this on, that on, make sure this is running then maybe. The other day I prolly spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn't work then I realized I have to push the lil cassette into the radio. Perfect but it cost me 30 minutes of drive time. Amazing. Kids? 3 minutes... Go figure.1 point

Has anyone owned or heard these speakers? Thoughts? I'm always trying different speakers, but I have never heard these. I know they most likely will have subwoofer amp issues, as every Klipsch sub I've owned, except my rsw-10, had issues! Some guy is asking 400. Both woofers have damage and from the pictures the cabinets seem to be okay for 20+ year old speakers. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated. If they are awful, please don't hesitate to let me know! Thank you!1 point

Welcome. You’ve found the right place to look for info. You KP-250s are one of several variations of Industrial Heresy speakers. The thread HP-1 to KP201 ( ) covers some of the other versions of your speaker, but also has specific info on the KP-250. It’s a 14 year old thread, but it spans a lot of time. The defining features of the 250 are its heavy duty woofer, the ported enclosure, and tuning for PA use. Some of these properties are less charming in home use…so people tinker.1 point

That´s good to hear . The string / counterweight technique is the antiscating technique from the 1960s. On the Micro Seiki MA 505, I can also set this with a rotary knob.1 point
