Yes @AndreG. their early music is close to folk rock it is so melodic and easy going! And Ronnie? I saw Rainbow with him up on the stage once! But Ozzy was with Black Sabbath each time I saw them!2 points

still windy. That would be the only reason to close the doors. Temp is perfect...85` we have lots of leftovers. Wife's family came here after the funeral ... so, I cooked. A double batch of spaghetti [sauce] and baked bread. Wife suggested not cooking pasta until we see/saw how many were going to eat. If I had cooked the pasta, they might have eaten... note the words "might have"... As it was - nobody ate spaghetti. The bread went away. I made for us and we have a half gallon of sauce in the freezer ... Awwwww. we're decompressing. Wife has school work now ... quarterlies ... er... grade cards coming.2 points

There are so many situations and periods of life this can be applied to. Not just your next love affair. I apply it a new group of friends I made after I graduating from an elementary school that was very tyrannical (think Roger Waters and The Wall).2 points

Gonna sign a contract for a new apartment in my hometown where I was born on monday. Studied the local newspaper today . Found an offer which I thought that will meet my demands, called the owner and during our conversation he told me that he wants to see me a.s.a p. because we had a very nice conversation and felt sympathy for each other. So we met. I checked the apartment and it´s quiet nice , not big , but really beautiful. It has everything I need , incl. a fully equipped kitchen , a garden and a fantastique view into the landscape. During the next week I will pick up my most important apartment furnishings from the house into my new apartment. Than I will contact my laywer to start the war of divorce . It´s a start into a new life for me and I´m looking forward to live it . Pretty exciting 😂2 points

Selling a nice HH Scott Type 130 pre amp. A previous owner has done some work to the pre. The on/off/volume pot was replaced with an Alps volume pot and an on/off switch located at the back on top. All functions work and the pre sounds nice. I did notice one can cap had oozed a bit so I purchased a full set of can caps from Hayseed Hamfest that will be included with the 130. It comes with the tubes that were in it when I received it. Nothing special as I remember (ie, no Teles or Mullards) but all work well. Take a look at the pics and ask any questions you may have. $1000 plus shipping/insurance in the ConUS.1 point

Sounds a bit like overkill but that's what they claim they have installed in some new attraction in Vegas called the Sphere. For you guys unlike me who can't count past 21 without dropping my pants, the website cites various science stuff which they used in creating the sound. Maybe you can understand it, but it's gibberish to me. They are: The Helmholtz Equation, The Kirchoff-Helmholtz Integral, the Kirchoff Integral Equation and the Wave Equation. I, of course, have no idea if these are actual science thingies used in creating sound. Still, if I'm ever in Vegas I'd probably check it out. Maybe sneak into the control room and turn up the volume.1 point

yeah ... I know all about the piles of "organized papers". When we had kittens, they would dive into them and make wife so happy. She sets little goals and gets to say "I'm done" ... with this phase... and then has another pile to go through1 point

Yup, sure did. Took another dive and the judges gave me a 9.8! That darn French judge got me again but who really cares as long as it sounds great to me!1 point

For what it's worth on reviving an old thread, I mounted my RC-7 on a bracket made out of wood angled slightly upwards (similar to a speaker riser) located on the base of the fireplace that I would remove when I choose to have a fire. Due to the weight of the RC-7 and the heat generated by my wood fireplace I felt that this was my better option.1 point

I feel the need to correct you. Psilocybin and Weed taken together will greatly enhance the quality of your system far beyond ivermectin. My local audio dealer should keep a stash behind the counter before he does a demo and then keep you distracted until the full effects kick in. He could sell a lot of boomboxes at a premium price.1 point

@grasshopper let that freezer do it's job you'll polish it off in no time. You're wife will be back to the grind in no time and you can crank it up. Just don't touch her piles of stuff laying around while she's rollin. How do they do that anyway? They know exactly where and what's in every pile when it comes time for grade cards. 😂1 point

This one gives a nice visual of the capabilities of the screen. I skipped around in the video because I can't take U2 for more than a little bit, and Bono's singing has not gotten better with age... he's not quite as bad as Axel Rose yet, but he's on his way!1 point

My main system is the Leben CS300 with 1972 Heresies. For me, they fill up my living room (L-shaped, both legs 10m long, 4.5m wide and 2.4m high) but I don't play my music at concert level. The cs300 is 12wpc and should be enough. I have other amps (Denon and a vintage H/K430) that are around 35wpc, and they 'open up' the Heresies even more, so that the neighbours can join in listening 😉I play vinyl most of the time too, btw. I use the iFi Zen Phono (first edition). So I think the heresies will do fine. Also, consider other aspects like size and available space. ps I live in Belgium, and here, of late, used Klipsch Heritage gear, I mean vintage, has become very rare too. Especially the Heresies.1 point

She will like Canberra as it’s a fully designed capital city From buildings and roads to the picturesque views one would have from both - and a man made lake to finish it off Only visited once myself while on a school excursion - and still remember it1 point

Fantastic deal! The bass will really fill out after a few hundred hours of use. After owning forte II for 30 years, then buying the forte IV I was very impressed with how much better the IV's are. Enjoy!1 point

Magnet structure steel plates are typically plated with a "zinc chromite" plating. I know of at least clear, yellow, and black. There is no difference in magnetic performance, and the change might have been "environmentally" influenced.1 point
