My €65 stylus for my SL DL1 tangential sounded off this week, and this morning, spinning a Bill Frisell record, there was huge distortion so I replaced the stylus with an old one costing €25. Blown away by the better sound. Can't see anything wrong with a loupe, though. End of life cycle? Less than a year old. But spinning a lot of old albums....4 points

Teasin the neighbors today! In a Silent Way is a studio album by American jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Miles Davis, released on July 30, 1969, on Columbia Records. Produced by Teo Macero, the album was recorded in one session date on February 18, 1969, at CBS 30th Street Studio in New York City. Macero edited and arranged Davis's recordings from the session to produce the album. Marking the beginning of his "electric" period, In a Silent Way has been regarded by music writers as Davis's first fusion recording, following a stylistic shift toward the genre in his previous records and live performances. Ahhhhmaaazing! It's a ride and a half!3 points

@AndreG. common thread is Mike Porntoy on drums. Zero better today imo. He plays in quite a few different groups like The Winery Dogs and others. Research him and you'll understand it a bit more. He can roll with ANYone at ANYtime and does. Check him out on this clip with the Dogs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5Sv2ceDCe0 and this old one!2 points

I like Dream Theater and I like The Flower Kings. I think both complement each other nicely. One´s softer, the other a bit more on the metal side. And both good stuff!!2 points

I´ve had their greatest hits collection for years, and liked it. This one, I got in that swap for some laser discs. Then I have one other Album, played it a while back. I´m sure they´ll multiply from here on out. 😄2 points

They need a little attention but they were actually the cheapest set of Heresy family that I’ve ever bought.2 points

@Old Salt Most customers use the wireless sub that came with the soundbar and find that the bass is more than adequate. While the Cinema soundbars provide an RCA jack so customers can connect a wired sub, the specs don't say much about output levels. Considering the many issues with the Cinema series soundbars, the issue you are encountering could be related to yet another defect. I would Submit a request to Klipsch Product support and explain what is happening. They should be able to confirm the soundbar's output levels and let you know if they are sufficient to drive the R211SWs. You have nothing to lose and if they determine there is an issue with your soundbar they can arrange for a warranty replacement.1 point

That's the weak point. I once was an avid Frontline viewer, until i noticed that they always pulled their punches when conclusions were unfavorable to government. I fat and away prefer independent journalism.1 point

Right. Well known problem globally. I've been following Dr. Robert Listing for years. He was among the first to declare sugar a toxin---based on metabolic science. Processed food is deadly, and the long tail of it is clearly visible now in many countries. I was once a processed food junkie. It might not meet the technical definition of addiction, but functionally it is the same.1 point

Second and third place three days ago in Japan is not nothing. Especially since McLaren has two top talented young drivers and the success curve is pointing upwards. The headphones of the technicians in the command post "without" Klipsch logo were frequently and long in the picture.1 point

Hello ! The Milesian frenzy continues 😉 First of all this famous live Agharta with such a beautiful cover, which I am listening to, it is in the vein of Jack Johnson-On The Corner-Get up With It 😜 My reissue is a gatefold double LP of MOV/Columbia from 2015 https://www.discogs.com/fr/release/7779095-Miles-Davis-Agharta https://www.allmusic.com/album/agharta-mw0000187879 I want to change my old TEAC for this new Denon DP-3000NE: you like it 😄1 point

This measurement shows why I believe it's worth the minimal effort required to change the tweeter to front mount. It is the front mount horizontal off axis set. Note how much smoother it is. Also of note is the lower frequency ripple in the 45 and 60 degree sweeps. The ripple spacing of about 1000Hz suggests a path length difference around 1 foot. I suspect this is diffraction from the side edge of the cabinet, which is getting much closer to the direct path at these shallow angles. Conclusion: For my set of La Scalas, which will be actively crossed over and EQ'ed, I'm definitely going with the front mount.1 point
