Today an addition to my vintage-system arrived: A KT-7550. I couldn´t test it, power-switch is stuck in the off-position. Apart from that it´s very clean, both from the outside and inside. I´ll send it to a technician tomorrow. He´ll refurbish it and he will also modify it to make it compatible with DAB+ standard.

This is a preemptive post: No matter what @Dave1291 posts about our ill fated trip to a restaurant that was last good 40 years ago. Don't believe it. I only ate three breadsticks. Problem is I don't believe they're complementary anymore because we had trouble getting more when I could have eaten a dozen. But anyhow, after my frozen entree that was reheated and the DJs green beans in his pasta. It was laughter and joyous banter for the rest of the afternoon. The people were staring at us and no believe me nobody in our party was stoned. Thanks for everybody's input (except for Real Duke, the way I acquired a lot of my vinyl was saving it from a dumpster at the end of a garage sale.) I've been scanning craigslist for book cases. I just don't trust the ikea stuff and I want it to look nice in the family room.

The cabs look to be in very good shape (mine are black lacquer) and I like the veneer on them. Mine are in a room approx. 40 sq. meters and I have quite adequate bass for my taste in music.

15 years old but new to me. Ebony fretboard and a kill switch. Single humbucker wound to Joan's specs. Headstock needs dusting, will happen with new strings. EDIT: I guess I'm a Tele/Jazzmaster/Strat guy at heart. Still can't warm up to the 3-a-side turners. Maybe that is why the Gibson Firebird is sticking around.

Dinner was made.

Part of my stash. Began w/full inch stained shelving boards and decorative concrete blocks, then had a guy build my cabinet. Inch oak, 4 feet long w/a toe kick board 4 inches high on the bottom,smoked glass on recessed tracks so the bottom edge of the lp wouldn't get torn up. Picked up the other two pieces of the gray shelving board up @ a local 2nd hand store for 10$. It's lagged w/4" wood screws into the wall studs along with some 2x2's for support in the middle. Also, not showing is an old 5 shelve solid oak military bookcase I picked up on fb marketplace for $35 and the guy delivered it for $20. Today, once again, I'm outta room w/6 stacks of stuff leaning against whatever I can lean it on. This is a couple years old. Originally I thought I'd need maybe 3 cabinets in my llifetime. That's 50 years worth so plan accordingly. Think WEIGHT! 😂

Texas got a heck of a QB from Ohio State thru that transfer portal. @oldtimer is pretty much spot on w/his analysis @Travis In Austin. They'll start changing things up in a couple weeks. Kinda funny today. Lou Holtz stood by his statement about Ohio State being soft. Weakest team I've seen in years yet loaded with talent.. I still say they're gonna lose at least 2 and maybe three games this year. The NFL raped the O-line last fall, the QB1 hasn't gelled imo and it's trouble in river city. It's just WHEN it's gonna hit imo. Maybe Holtz is just tweeking OSU to become better? Who knows? TBH Lou has ALWAYS been respected by OSU. i'VE heard his speak several times, the last being about 4 years ago at a fundraiser/auction. Chief Bonehead announced at our latest planning meeting today that he has been "cooking" up some great stuff for this class and he cannot fit it into one full day, so we are going to start the course at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Klipsch Factory, so please adjust your travel plans accordingly.
