Busy time yesterday. We had the annual blacksmithing festival in town so the kids and I walked over to check it out. A few blocks further up in town, the City Drive-In was having their annual Ramp Festival. After I walked the kids back over to the house I walked back to the drive-in to check out my friend Dan playing his all request piano show. Then I walked back home and made a sheet cake for the middle child’s birthday party. Apparently she told her friends that she was having a party at the park this afternoon so I obliged and told her I would make a cake and buy some drinks. After the cake came out of the oven I made some beer-battered fish tacos for dinner. Then I walked back to the drive-in, for the third time, to catch the band that was playing. My usual crew was there and had gotten roped into running sound. the setup wasn’t great but we made the best of it and folks had a pretty good time.3 points

Some people just don’t understand the Klipsch Lascala. But This guy gets it . Speakers that are as good as these don’t deserve much criticism , instead ,show me something better .Nothing but praise here in this review 👍. Hi billybob , have a good one 🤓2 points

This popped up on youtube so figured I'd post it. Clueless who made it but someone said it was up. Duckburg's on the mend. To think there I sat an Wendy's getting bounced around in my car thinking it was nasty wind gusts and poring rain? Freaky now. Beautiful day here today so got the mower wars goin, did a lil sprayin, lil edgin, fingered how to get this garage Yamahammer dialed in for bluetooth. Cake now for the KG4.5's in the garage. Sheesh, guess bluetooth kinda works. Only highlight was when some good lookin woman walked up the drive and wanted to know who I was listening too. Told her Walter Trout's new "Broken" lp. She said she was gonna have to check him out. Maybe there's hope yet???2 points

It really looks interesting. I would be worried about the difficulty of just changing out the records. It seems like it would have to be a bit of a timely process just to flip a record. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome looking setup. Maybe I am just too lazy...lol. Is there any real advantage to the floating turntable if the tone arm is still affixed to the base? It seems to me that it would negate the whole anti vibration thing. If that's what it is going for. I'm really just curious as I am certainly no expert in any way.2 points

Yes there is a bit of a catch.... These are in kindof rough shape - drivers move freely and I believe they work - fabric surrounds are in tact, but a bit of water damage on one and a 1/4" tear in the fabric - but I think you could just use silicone to seal it back up. They have been stored in my garage for about 6 years since I refurbed some Khorns a while back. Crossovers are very dirty, but should work... but I'd say they are going to need complete teardown and cleanup at the very least. If anyone is in the Detroit / Flint area - come by and get them.1 point

Would 100-watts of power into the LF and 100-watts of power into the HF drivers each; damage the Klipsch RP-8000f speakers? - (using the Marantz SR5015) Thank you1 point

RAW birch has always been one of my favorite Klipsch finishes... if you want maple, get maple veneer.1 point

Yes we spotted the same thing $5K Euro is paying more for marketing not for equipment 🤘 Noting that some new micro cars in Europe are under $20K and the high speck TT is almost the same price1 point

@geezin' atta boy. Go large or don't go! They got smart around here. If it's worth anything at all they put it on a website they have. Usually just junk anymore when ya hit one lookin for that deal.1 point

They probably have it sorted out I’m not sure the OM10 cartridge is suitable for the prestige they are trying to express on us1 point

I had a look at the link Don’t think I can afford it as the cost doubles in AU pesos I will stick to my 1965 TT as it has stood the test of time and beyond1 point

You will need an active crossover (which I think @Paducah Home Theater mentioned they are going to provide with the units). You can use the MC830s for the low end with the output going from the XO's low output into the back of the amplifiers. Of course, you then need to find 4 extra channels (a 2 channel amp for highs, another 2 channel for mids, with appropriate power).1 point

1988 Elektra reissue Exceptional sound on this Elektra reissue. Defined, rich with supreme clarity and smooth delivery. Super punchy, realistic drums you can feel and beautiful midrange tones make the guitar work really cut through. Vocals are lush and intimate and the bass is profound. I’m very impressed with the sound on this 80s reissue. Quite a stellar pressing, no flaws to speak of. I definitely recommend this pressing. Comment from Discogs so well described this pressing I had to copy it.1 point
