Cables, Coffee, Cycles, and Cocktails

Well, dtel is working on his first cup after fighting with the automatic coffee maker! Seems he got so used to his old fashioned drip pot that this automatic coffee maker engaged him in battle for almost an hour! First run completely missed the pot and ran all over the table! Lol

Dang, glad Dtel got a cup after all that! :) New fangled coffee makers anyway!

hot here...may make it to 98 and already very humid.  Ate breakfast with 3 other retirees.  mowed the grass and edged and then a cold shower!

The BB made it to New Mexico in perfect shape.  I packed the first box and had FedEx add a second box.

LF to return Monday or Tuesday :)

afternoon guys, laying here listening to the hew dac again, Guess I got lucky it appears the Meetrum Octave Mk1 was designed to be good up to 176, however some were able to decode 192 which mine is currently doing  :D

Gotta love Jriver set your sample rate anywhere up to 192   :emotion-21:  :emotion-21:  :emotion-21: , Krouss and Plant sound like they agree  :D

Received an email today Jriver coming out with MC21, Offered me a rebate to order early Decisions, Decisions

Off to make a cup o joe as soon as trampled rose is over SUPERB song by Krauss

TGIF  have a great day my friends

Joe  tell me what Jriver is/does please.

In a nutshell it is a media library, you store your library of music, video and photos with it, and it offers a lot more options to customize, it also has a lot more features than say WMP

I mainly use it as my Music player, and It was much easier (after the learning curve) to get my 20,000 files in order and under 1 codec (flac) all tagged with the meta data

If you are thinking about ripping a cd collection and want it all st up in a nice library mode with tons of options I highly recommend it with 1 caveat you need to at least be comfortable with a computer

just noticed the No BS thread and tried to click on it and it says must have 5000 posts

How the heck do we reach 500 posts when Our count keeps getting screwed with  ??  I have seen my post count change for the worse at least 3 times now, I had quit watching worrying with it

first reason for the adjustment was Right this minute mis counts or something, I have probably visited Right This minute 20-30 times total and my post count has dropped well over 1000

at this rate it is certainly a special place for special people

It'll get there Joe! :)

Meanwhile, you posts are interesting and easy to read so post away. Been learning quite a bit of what was unaware of. My feeling on the music and headphone subject is changing somewhat by your experiences with them. From looking around, seems a lot of folk are still turning onto the inner ear audio experience, both young and older. Have you considered a bookshelf A/B...lol

Thanks!

Have a respectable pair of book shelf speakers .  Though they sound very good I always reach for the volume knob and the drivers begin to distort Bass is the BASE / Foundation of music and when its lacking the music just sounds thin and un involving and I cant listen for long,

I have a pair of iem but I find my ear canal itches when I use them for extended sessions which is irritating a hell  :D

Good to know someone likes to hear me babble :P

Crossed posted from RTM moments ago...

Top of the morning to you all ............ :emotion-44:  :emotion-44:

Sorry I have not been around much.   Working on ROCK music for this one time show I am in tonight with the finest musicians in the area.  Big stand alone rock venue, top production of sound and lights, the WORKS !   Mostly original music, some fun cover tunes.   HA, we have been selling tickets and looks like a great crowd coming.  Some fans of these musicians are flying in,  and of course our own PEZZ will be driving in from RI. !

With only ONE rehearsal for this 18 song set, I have my homework for the day... that is, until it is time to pack up the gear and head for the load in dock

Do enjoy your day and evening, I will try to drop in when I can............dinner party for  college professors (3) tomorrow (thank you Chris, I needed that....) that will be arriving here around 6pm.    House cleaning, lawn mowing...  SHEESH :wacko2:

....more later when I can....    Enjoy the music....... :emotion-29:  :emotion-29:       Got some GENE HARRIS on Pandora now with breakfast...

....Gary

hey everyone...

Keeping in shape Chuck--well done.  Ride safely though.

Rock on Gary-wish i was there.  Glad to hear that the intro to Fat Bottom Girls is part of the set.

Battling a hefty infection in a tooth that previously had a root canal.  i hate going to the dentist. Was talking to a friend that was the Pastor of a church i attended in Michigan--he made a comment (talking about surgery in general) that sometimes the pain gets so bad we toss our fears aside and tell the doc to do whatever it takes…i got to that point yesterday, only the dentist said i need to see a specialist to have this fixed. he did give me antibiotics to start fighting the infection, so hopefully as that begins to clear, the pain will reduce as well.

I’ll be taking it easy again today--probably stare at the idiot box and try to keep my mind off the pain.

Have an enjoyable day folks.

Yes, once those antibiotics kick in some there Steve, you will get some peace. Amoxicillin always knocked it down for me, and keeping still as possible. Sometimes, ice helped.

Good fortune

Lol, can think of no better way than to fly over prospective properties to get a feel for the area and neighborhoods. Good Hunting!

Whoops, looks like you have a prospective buyer for your stacks!

Good fortune

Day 1. Hooked up water for upstairs. Created indoor waterfall. Water poured through seams in sheetrock. Turned water off, cut hole in upstairs floor. fixed broken pipe, turned water on, created secondary waterfall. Cut hole in sheetrock, found secondary leak. Copper pipes! Did I say dtel hates plumbing.

Partied with regulars last night to celebrate creating waterfalls. As always, dinner was excellent. Rodney cooked center cut smoked porked chops, smothered potatoes, fresh crowder peas from the garden, fried green tomatoes and fried eggplant. Fresh from the garden tomato salad and hot water cornbread.
