MORE KLIPSCH PLEASE
Morning/afternoon gang... Checking in to see whats been going on.. We've gotten crazy busy at the shop and just got a bunch of crapp going on. Been putting alot of time in at the shop after hours working on my 86 CRX Si. I hope to have it running this year. Got the Ev's all set up the other night only to find out that the three Crown amps that I got are not working 100%. All kinds of noise coming out of them. They are the smaller Crowns CE 1000's. I was going to bridge two for the 18" bass bins and run one for the tops. My audio bud Ryan was over the other night for a few hours and we isolated it too the amps.... what a bummer. Then we were going to use my big Crown Macro-tech to drive the bass bins but we didn't have the correct adapters. Anyway it's going to rain today so I'm not taking my gear over to my buds house for the party. Gonna go back and try to catch up on some posts... Take care all... have a great weekend.... MKP :-)

oldtimer
checked out the America's Cup races today. You guys have to see these things. Races don't take long and the technology is wild. They can pretty much sail 4 times faster than the wind. Relatively flat seas and they are doing 40 knots! I miss the grandeur of the monohull days but this is easier to watch for the casual observer.
Schu
I watched that fleet race qualifier... easily over 40 knots. Speed boats were having issues keep up, they were flying today. That japan britain collision could have bee far worse than it was.... people could have easily died in the incident had the britishboat not turned back. That last USA New Zealand race was pure genius... us leading out with a brilliant start, then loosing the lead fairly significantly only to get it back with that last gate incident.

I'll cook that up tomorrow. Since I had to test the TT promised to @The History Kid, I decided to try the record. I didn't play the whole thing, but enough to confirm that it is 33 1/3, it does go from the inside out, and it urged me to buy a Maytag washer from an appliance store in Youngstown, OH. The plan now is to record it as is and then again after the PVA facial. I also couldn't wait to sample the Basie album Marty @thebes sent. As expected, the Pablo recording is excellent.

DizRotus
Receiving likes from my friend @billybob -- he sold me a phono pre-amp years ago, but that's another story -- reminds me of yet another story. My long-suffering wife handles the phones in our small business. One day she tells me about a message left with our answering service. She's convinced Jim Bob Cooter is a made up name. I assured her it's real and I asked her to schedule an appointment for me, rather than our salesperson. If you're not an NFL nerd or a Detroit Lions fan, you're excused from knowing that Jim Bob Cooter is the Lions' offensive coordinator, BTW, he's a very nice young man.

DizRotus
I've now played, saved, and burned a CD of the recording sent by Marty @thebes. The initial effort preserves all of the surface noise and a few skips. After cleaning, I'll use Audacity to try to remove surface noise. If you're curious, visit Marty's thread linked in my post of Friday May 26 at page 1393, for more details.
USNRET
Howdy. A bowl of Cheerios and a cuppa Yesterday was mow and pressure wash the house day. Amazing how much crap collects on the back porch. Prepping the back for soon to be 13 daughter's outdoor movie birthday gathering of females next Saturday. Had to trim pygmy palms so screen would fit in.
CECAA850
I spent yesterday mowing the yard and working in the house. I'm prepping our bedroom floor for glue down bamboo. I needed to get to bare concrete so that the vapor barrier would stick. The people who painted the bedroom originally used sprayers so there was about a foot and a half of over spray on the floor all around the room. After trying several methods the best method for removal was a side grinder with concrete wheel. What a mess. The dust has finally subsided so today I'll be vacuuming and mopping. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the sealer down.
