Morning folks :)

Talked with Chuck via a pm.  He has been ailing with a kidney problem so he has been inactive here for a bit.  I told him we hope he is on the mend.

Having a problem with my Samsung refrigerator freezing up and making an annoying noise.  Made an appointment with a tech for tomorrow.  Decided to clean it in preparation for the visit.  I think I had the doors open long enough for it to thaw as the noise has stopped for now  And to anticipate Carl's question....no it wasn't THAT dirty.

You have been busy Gary.....keep it up and continued best wishes for the show (s).

I have more info than you want to know  about THAT

edit: fridge noise, we can talk if you want PM for my number

Good morning my everyone....... :emotion-44:  :emotion-44:  :emotion-44:

Looks like things are going well enough around here now..........

Chuck, keep us informed on your Fridge sitch...   We bought a new GE, a rather custom sized one to fit in the space made for it in the kitchen.   It has been flawless since day one!   My dad has gone through a couple of new ones in very short order.  Ended up replacing one totally...  Seems there was problems with the water system/ice making...  Serviced under warranty, symptoms came  back......REPLACED completely.   So far, that one has been good for two years now.

OK, it is crunch time.......boarding passes printed up, we all meet at the rehearsal site, leave our cars, bet picked up by a trans service to Boston.   Then fly non-stop to NV.

Gettin' pretty exciting........but, our equipment won't arrive until after noon TOMORROW, so, just hangin' around and checking out the features of the hotel, the concert / performance space and stage etc...  No, there won't be any gambling for me, but I will check out the casino and see the sites within the building.   The strip is not far, but it would be a walk by the looks of the maps..

Alright then, the next communication should be from the 'Suncoast' hotel/resort

Enjoy your day everyone  :emotion-21:

.........more soon.......

......Gary  :emotion-29:  :emotion-29:

Mark, glad to hear Mom is getting better, good thoughts sent your way.

Carl….cool pic for sure.

Gary, I'm glad your GE fridge has been a good one. We just replaced all our appliances with GE, went with the slate look. GE had the best lineup of slate. During the process, I noticed a new finish that I like a lot….black stainless. It looks like a darker slate, very nice indeed.

80 and sunny here for the 4th day in a row, rain tomorrow.

Happy 4-20 Day to some of you :D

1 month till The Pilgrimage!

The refrigerator saga hopefully was taken care of yesterday. The Samsung drain filters are tiny and become blocked with just a bit of dust or dog hair.  The remedy is to bypass the filter apparently.  This required defrosting of the coils with the defrosting code you can program in from the controls.  The fridge was pulled out from a built in cabinet to get to the filter.  With the bypass the tech says I should never have that problem again.  Two hours and $125.19 later it was working. BTW....the only thing Samsung and LG have in common is they are both made in S. Korea.  That fact according to technician.

One week till LF closes on and takes possession of the new house.  We will be busy for while. Got quotes to paint ceiling, walls, and trim in the garage.  The garage floor will be etched, degreased, and an epoxy floor system installed.  Most of the interior will be painted, kitchen cabinets and granite taken out and reinstalled in the garage, new deep well for irrigation, maybe a new roof, floor sanding, new kitchen, new furniture, new windows......

Think I will document the process with photos or video including LF writing checks about every third pic

So that's what's up here.....how about you guys?

Working :(

On a coffee note, I'm loving the Bunn we just got.  Even my wife (who uses flavored creamer) commented on how much less bitter coffee is now that we're using it.  This is one of those "wish I had done this years ago" purchases.

Good morning all of you crazy sumbitches.

That photo of Jackie Gleason a few pages back really made me laugh.

It is always so nice in here.

My girlfriend watches most of the "Housewives" series. It always makes me laugh how much people can get entertained by the commotion in other peoples lives, i.e., the average viewer. Then the housewives and their husbands, how their those that are continually stirring stuff up, It is all so terribly staged.

Nice to be able to cone here, no drama, no commotion. It is the last bastion of gentlemanly and Ladylike behavior.

La Madeleine French Dark Roast, by the way.

Overcast and dreary here today. Lakes are full, drought is over in Central Texas, should be a great year for tubing.

A-10.  The cheapest price I found was at Target.com of all places.

I would probably think about a multi-cup brewer if my wife and I drank the same type of coffee, which we don't.  And that's OK....Having spent so many years traveling around the world, and living in Seattle, we've become very"picky" if you will, about the type, strength, etc, etc.  She's moved to half decaf.....I'm not there, need the zip...

Carl, we had one of those (or a like model) for a few years and then one day sparks flew and C/B tripped. Found the submerged heating element had eroded away leaving exposed wires. Do a visual every once in awhile.

The thing about this is you can brew yours and she can brew hers back to back.  It will brew coffee as fast as you can pour the water.  As a matter of fact, you have to have the carafe on the burner when you pour water in it or as coffee starts coming out before you can finish pouring the water in!  When my mother in law comes to visit, we pull out an OLD Mr Coffee machine to make her decaf in.  We won't need to do that now.  We'll either use an old carafe from our last maker or get another Bunn carafe.

Will do.  These come with a 2 year warranty but I'll check periodically.  We've had zero issues with build up, scale or corrosion in our coffee makers or clothes irons since we use only water from our RO filter in all of them.
