USNRET
A new air conditioner for the house that failed last week and it still doesn't work! Condenser replaced by a moron that wouldn't even clean the copper lines before soldering and then cross wired the system so it blew fuses. The 80 degree air from the registers are not going to cool the place. Home warranty folks sure go for the low bidder and hope!

I bought one of those "roll around" AC units a couple of months ago from Costco. It has been great. I turn the house AC's off at night and cool the bedroom down to "desert only." The result is great and the cost is low....

It maintains about 82 degrees with OAT of 95 running 24/7, we'll see what effect it has.

One nice thing, which once again is out of the norm, we are supposed to have another front come through next week. The low's will be in the lower 60's Wed. through Friday... This rarely happens in my part of the state....

Taz
if he can climb up in a 6' high truck I am SCARED to see his feet Used to know a man called "Shorty Bow" if ya was being formal. Otherwise known as Shorty. Dad had a Ford That sat taller then most rigs, I never did measure. Dad let Shorty drive it home instead of Shorty's Back Hoe. Shorty could jump up and get the door open. Then he had to jump up, catch the steering wheel and pull himself onto the floor board. Then he could get on the seat. I sure do miss that smart ***, bow legged, mouthy guy. I can see him laughing at this or baiting the Biggest into a fight then bailing out while the fight was going on. Or he could have a Jeep full of Kids riding around the neighborhood.
Taz
Well, as much as Carl likes that plunge saw, I decided I might own one too. Now I do.

akdave
A pair of RB 81ii speakers for my rear surrounds! I posted this a month or so ago and was able to audition, then flip the Chorus speakers and get these. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/150496-question-for-the-group/ I know some will say "bad trade" but it fits with my current setup. I hooked them up to the receiver from that deal to listen a little and I'm delighted! I hit 98dB before I realized my window was open. I'm sure my neighbors are happy for me too.
