What I Got Today!

It's like Christmas today! After borrowing an UMIK-1 a few months ago and doing some basic REW work I knew I needed to own one, so I finally made the purchase. Looking forward to more tweaking. FYI - newer versions no longer appear to come with a plastic transport case. Thick cardboard box and foam only.

I've also been attending some Cisco Meraki webinars and my free (expensive) gear has started to arrive - MX-64 (https://meraki.cisco.com/products/appliances/mx64) and MR33 (https://meraki.cisco.com/products/wireless/mr33) arrived today. The MS220-8P (https://meraki.cisco.com/products/switches/ms220-8) arrives on Friday. All total with 3yr licenses on each piece it's about $1500 worth of networking equipment free and clear for 3 hours of my time. :)

Personal :)

It directly relates to my job and so I've integrated it into my home lab/environment Soni can spend a bunch of time learning the equipment and determine possible use cases for my customers, but otherwise it's for my own benefit of having some more robust gear st the house.

I'm not really setup to share out my nas, which is quickly running out of space as I acquire 4k/HDR content.

I'm sure that the goat crib has an awesome network setup, and special security set up to keep the wacky chickens from accessing the wi fi.....

After 20 hours of listening A/B, MY old ears like the sound of the K-33e over the CW1526c. The CW are a cleaner sound, but the base doesn't hold up to the K-33s.

So it will be coming out on Sunday.

Is that the cast frame Bob sells ?

Could it be from being newer and stiffer?

I ask because I thought they were modeled after the K33

YES. The 33s handle more wattage before they start to break up.

Scored this pair of beautiful cabinets with Jensen H223F Coaxial drivers installed....$40 bucks, total.  Perfect grills, almost mint cabinets.  Hard to see in the photos, but the grills have a teal accent in part of the weave....really beautiful...More info soon.

Could you be a bit more articulate on the "Bass holding up".  Like distorted or missing?

I like the idea of gaming, but I never seem to find much time to do it. I mostly end up just web browsing and tweaking photos, so I traded my overkill desktop for a new overkill virtualization host so I can collapse all of my existing infrastructure into a single system (minus my NAS). This should do for a while :D
