FatherForte Posted July 15, 2020 Share Posted July 15, 2020 I got a pair of Forte I, I think. The first two digits of the serial numbers are 88, and the radiator is 12". They are in nearly perfect condition. The dust caps on the radiators are dimpled. Other than that, I can't see anything different from a brand new pair. The original owner said that he bought them in Germany, while he was in the Air Force. They are a nice step up from my Tangent T30's (probably originally owned by a service member also). I've been watching for several months, and at $500 I think got a pretty good deal. I had to share on here. I've been listening to a lot of guitar, organ, and drums. They're fantastic. Just put on Dire Straits. I had a pair of La Scala's in college. I like the sound of these better than the sound I remember from them. It's been 20 years, so I might be fooling myself. I remember being disappointed with the bass, which was more important to me back then. It would be interesting to do an A/B with both.
