avguytx
Just read that Burt Reynolds died of cardiac arrest earlier today. Man, another one of my childhood "heroes" has moved on. I remember going to see Smokey & the Bandit at the theater and, like many almost 11 year old's then, thought that was the coolest car ever....the black and gold Trans Am. He may have had his share of troubles and issues through the years, but he definitely did a lot of great movies and shows. RIP, Bandit. 4

JJkizak
That car was modified so much it wasn't street legal. And I believe there were a few extra when one broke. JJK
billybob
A brother ended up with a look alike at a car auction one time. It would do 140+ and that was a long winding curve we knew. RTS front end. Burt did a movie, late 70's maybe where think he was undercover, may have come in on a train to Miami. One scene showed an albino(?) bad guy falling from a tower after a fight shooting back at Burt while falling. Anyway a serious Burt movie with little comedy. The name of movie has escaped me over time. Good stuff...
