    • Are Bob Crites AL3 Xovers built to accompany a 4ohm or an 8ohm woofer load?
    • These are still available. Hoping to free to free up some space!
    • Another excellent release by Bill Gaither!   Maynard
    • What would be nice is if 10 or more members on the forum would try to do a bulk purchase direct from Klipsch on the new Klipschorns and active crossover.
    • One of the smartest purchases I have made over the years was a pair of McIntosh 8207s for UG Jubs and MCM.  I few times I second guessed buying those.  But now, they are perfect for what Klipsch is doing with their home Heritage speakers.  There was a point where I was using 4 amps in a system and it was fun to set up and tune (at first).  Not anymore for me.  You guys going with the singles enjoy.
    • Is this SILLY pricing?...Compaired to the clearance prices that these were going for?
    • I'm 70. Heresy's/SX850/Vinyl/CDs/HDT1 Tuner/Sound Shaper 1 EQ/Mostly Classical. To me and everyone else, my 2 channel setup sounds excellent. My Audiogram show pretty much a straight line loss of 10db at 250Hz to 80db loss at 8000Hz. Without hearing aids, I cannot hear birds, peepers etc at all. The only thing that can help flatten this line are hearing aids. Yes, sound character is altered somewhat. Soft ambient sound directionality a bit challenging. A no-brainer trade off IMO.   I can tweak my system via EQ or turn aids up or down impacting my greatest loss Hz's the most. Think about that. Lots of latitude. The only thing I'll never be able to tell is how it sounds to others. When asked, reply is always WOW!   Life: It is extremely stressful to not be able to hear. Both for you as well as those who are trying to be heard. Much enjoyment is lost.   Realize that to hear the frequencies involved in any loss, you must increase the volume of EVERYTHING barring an EQ which allows you to get at the subject frequencies, although maybe not to degree technically needed. The most beneficial and reasonable solution is get your hearing tested by a degreed Audiologist and get a pair of high quality hearing aides. Don't cheap out. What about the sound being digitized by the aides? So what. Trust  me, it's way better to hear than to not hear. We will never get back our original hearing so accept it and do yourself and everyone else a favor.   It's no different than getting glasses when you can't see. Why resist hearing aids when you can't hear???   Mine are Oticon. As for TV, I use a streaming box (Oticon) from TV optical out to my aids. I can mute the TV, listening only via the aids. Handy when wife's on a call or watching a different station cooking in the kitchen. Don't have to annoy others by cranking it either. I listen this way even if I'm alone. Oticon's app even has a 3 band EQ. Absolutely would not be without this setup.      Things like taking a piss, running water, frying food, cymbals etc. initially sound way too loud. Your brain will pull sounds in line within a few months. Even the best Aids are not a perfect solution. Nothing is. Compared to not hearing well, they're more than plenty good enough.
    • My IcePower based Class D amps were dead quiet on K-horns.  Choose wisely.
    • Seeking some opinion here from the experts in the forum on the speaker placements.  I am at the renovation phase of my house and planning to put a TV and my gear in middle of 2 Cornwalls 1.8m apart on a short wall. (Picture below)   Ideally I should be modifying the room acoustics after I move in with the furniture, but cost/aesthetics wise, it makes more sense to design it in from the onset for  whatever that make sense.  Currently I am exploring looking if I should be adding full floor-to-ceiling acoustic panels (those that look like fluted wood panels) behind the speakers as shown in the picture.  Do you all think it's a good idea speaking from your experience?
