    • Thanks man! Yeah these are great speakers, I have two customized pairs already just don't need a third pair. A year or two ago you'd be lucky to find a used pair for my asking price.
    • translated    The problems are the same as described above. The solution offered by the support service is exactly the same: the first update fixed the equalizer settings, but disabled the sound via Bluetooth. The second update removed the problems with Bluetooth, but now the sound itself is reproduced worse. There are much more high frequencies, hissing and whistling sounds appeared when reproducing speech. If earlier I set the equalizer - 1, +2, +4, now I have to set 0, +1, - 5! This is on the same compositions from the same sources. It is not comfortable to listen. I contacted the support service again, I am waiting for an answer.
    • Hi everyone,    I have 2 R-115sw subs purchased in 2017.  They have been in auto since purchase, although 1 is on a dedicated wall switch controlled outlet and kept off unless listening to music or movies. Both original amps "failed" about 2021 and 2022 and would not auto turn on, but worked fine if left in the "on" position. Klipsch replaced both amps although I only installed 1 amp. I left one of the original amps in the on position and used the wall switch to control the outlet.    Fast forward to today and the original switched outlet sub had very little output. So, I decided to replace the original amp with the brand new warranty replacement that klipsch sent a couple years ago. Problem is that there is no output and it clicks/pops.  I've switched everything around between the two subs including the amps and the issue follows this brand new amp.    Is there anything to easily check? I'm a little shocked that a brand new amp is doing this. I'm going to call klipsch tomorrow, but don't expect much help since it's been a couple years.    Thanks, Tim
    • Really?  Nobody's grabbing these?   I went to Hope in 2016 for something they had going on.  I walked outside and wanted to hear the big guns Roy had playing out there.  Roy, snookered us.  I walked outside and was VERY impressed with what I heard, to the point I thought I'd want to buy one of these systems for when we do out outdoors movies....   I then found out he wasn't playing the Grandure speakers, but in reality, was playing the "little" 396 on the right (with the subwoofer).  I was dropjawed.   I've never heard them in any other setting so this was my one experience......  but they were an excellent sounding speaker.  If you have the room, grab a subwoofer (or two ) and call it a day.   (shaking my head that these are still there)     Good luck with the sale, you've got someone rooting for you.
    • Quiet sad that he passed away . We had a lot of fun in the CCC Thread for more than to years .  We were online almost every day, especially during the corona period. We had laughed so much , but then it became quiet around him, he was online less and less often and finally not at all. Now we know why .
    • That's what I thought also......I remember discussing with him how can it be 110 here 10-15 miles from Pacific ocean and 120 in Tuscon  and only 80 in Arivaca. Elevation my dear Watson, elevation

    • ‘Not sure if you know this ?? But you will after I mention it and you read and follow up to fact check  Take your mind back to Windows 95 yes - Brian Eno created the sounds on that  Also  Robert Fripp collaborated on the Windows Vista platform
    • I used 36 grit on a belt sander the get the splatter coat off.   The I used regular paint stripper on the underlying black paint.  That's where I am at now.   I will probably use 80 grit on the belt sander to get down to raw wood.  I am going to wrap the entire cabinet (sides, top, bottom and back) in another layer of either 1/2 Baltic Birch or 9 ply furniture grade 3/4 Birch.  Also going to insert the two braces in the W.  That should take care of all of the resonance. Then I will finish with Oak veneer.   Only reason I am considering the 9 ply, 3/4 is because I can get it at wholesale price of $49 a sheet.   Below is a pic of the current state of the cabinets.  Have as little more work to get down to bare wood.  I do not want there to be any bonding issues when I glue and screw the surrounding layer of wood on.   The insides are going to have to stay speckle coated.  There is no way to get that out of there.  I plan on having some type of grill cover.
