  1. Here, the trusty Korg Triton EX with a REAL 12AU7 in use to warm up the sound where needed.. The genuine Hammond logo right where it should be....The Leslie speed control made to look and work just like the vintage 'half moon' switches (no, these are NOT cheap by any means!).....and that all controls a new, compact Leslie with the same mechanical, spinning horn and rotor with in.... Computer controlled servo motors do all the work now. This one made right here by Hammond USA ! All for now........Gary

Here is to you Boxx, thanks for being a part of my life, I'm a better person for it.... Today I celebrate the memories of our friend Kevin. We were very fortunate to have him as a part of our Klipsch family for so many years. I feel truly blessed. Rest In Peace Kevin Croft. Dennie

  4. Good afternoon my friends............ Yes Joe S. I have become very happy with the results, and it gets used only on the weekends, as I don't have much time in the morning during the week to prep and prepare the thing. Coffee usually out on the road or shop unit at bench otherwise. So, a nice three day weekend for me thank goodness........ Monday off and a rehearsal that night per usual, the whole month of rehearsals cancelled for the Diamond band because of mandatory work hours WAY past the normal day But, right now in the studio working on the music for BOTH shows and working with some closer photos for interest coming up NEXT. Chuck B3, the Hammond is for you. Won't you take a trip this way to have at it ??? All switches are GO .......you'll know where to find me

  9. Well glad your back, Ok this is the deal, I know it's the 4th of July but try really hard to NOT blow anything up. 1 You still live in town, and to make that worse it's in California where you almost need a permit to breath ! 2 The neighbors probably think your a little crazy already ? 3 The Mia neighbor may just go over the edge and shoot up the whole neighborhood ? see I've been thinking about this. We will be watering our lawn for the Fourth, and NOT to make it grow. Lawn died two months ago as did most of the neighborhood, Fire hazard it is now.

  14. Yes, yes, and I am there too!! Chuck, thanks for your kind words and getting the link passed around. We hung out with Nathan (last night's featured organist) at the banquet tonight.... He has crazy credentials as were listed on the OHS site.. I still have more photos to share from the weeks work, just was not able to get wifi everywhere, so the pics are still on the iPad.. Well, back to RTM, coffee in the morning with this fine group ;0)) .........Gary Chuck, didn't know/remember that your were into magnetic media.... I took my signature down tonight for the first time. Neat as it was, it was getting to long... But perhaps you knew that I was also a collector of R to R pre-records played on my Teac ;0)

  17. Very true Dennie, I was just thinking of him yesterday and it reminded me of the picture of him in the clubhouse in Hope. I was thinking how it could have been (and I hope it wasn't) uncomfortable for his daughter to come and meet some of us in Hope. Everyone here has great respect for your dad, if you were to go back and read many of his post you can see why we felt this way about him, truly a nice guy. It was a pleasure to meet both of you, you are braver than me for eating that pepper, your crazy but glad your ok, and it was with good intentions. I think you covered your dad's wish way past what he could have ever expected on that subject. He may be gone but only in person.

  19. I know parts of Texas have gotten a whole lot of rain lately. We, here in the Pacific Northwest are having one of the best summers on record. In June we have 23 days of NO RAIN and about 10 days where the temperature hit 90. Highly irregular. And July is taking off where June left off. Everyday so far has been above 90 with not a single cloud in the sky. Keep in mind, in this part of the country our average # of 90 degree days barely breaks into double digits for the whole summer and we've already exceeded that. Also, a couple local communities have begun water conservation efforts. Practically unheard of in these parts. Not much snow pack this past winter to feed the rivers.

  21. Fred’s talent was even more evident when you hear how so few can sing his songs and do them any justice at all. I saw Adam Lambert perform with them last summer, and I admit--he was very good. Other than him, the only other person that i thought did well was George Michael. I suppose Marc Martell could do a decent job (he won the job singing in the Queen Extravaganza…Roger Taylor saw his video submission and said it was a no brainer to pick him. Let me see if i can find that video….here’s his audition--it’s really good.

  25. Morning folks. Impressive performance Gary and your love for your work shines through Thanks for thinking of your forum buds with the photos and link. I knew Dave wouldn't want to miss it so I messaged him (not to be confused with massaged) Welcome back Mark.....you were missed. Hope things are going well with Marvel and wife. Got the 42 year old R2R spinning some tunes through the newly hooked up Quicksilver preamp. Sold the Blueberry Extreme with Cream and 6H30 super tube this week. A mighty fine preamp with Mark's upgrades. LF still in W.VA..... Raining here so no bike riding and no grass mowing . Breakfast with 3 other old geezers done as is coffee (Mayorga) and Jake's walk. 26. Well hello there, its been a while. I have been lurking and reading when I can. Haven't had much time to post. Looks like everyone has been busy, from Garys convention, to Tarheel's G.M. Diet, to Carl's whole house remodel. Joe I hope you get that car running, I'm sure you'll get it figured out. Sounds like Mark has been helping the farmers some more. Marvel glad to hear your wife is doing well. Hope she continues to improve. Well folks back to the grind, as things don't stop around here. I remember when I first had my daughter 12 years ago, my neighbor told me that my kids will keep me busy. Oh boy was he right about that. If its not sports, its some sort of model, or band, or anything for that matter. But these are memories I will cherish and continue to enjoy. After coffee its to the store, I know Dtel, and MKP love going to the store. But I have to get a brisket, ribs, stuff for salads for the second biggest celebration tomorrow, that we have. We will gather some fireworks, clean the garage(ugh I don't want to clean the garage). Then by 11 tonight I will have the brisket on the Ugly drum Smoker. I have to hurry and get back home so I can park at the dead end of the street, before everyone else does. Got to run fellows, take care.

  27. Morning Gang I wish to Thank those many emails of support during my break. Being my only Audio forum out of the other three, i do not wish to give up easy. It has been pointed out to me we all have our "Weasels" be it here or out in life. And that is all i will say about that. It's been warm here and not letting up, 80 in the cave, 50% Humid. After a couple cups of coffee (out of the Duggans) it's Ant patrol time again, currently holding them at the property line. These little black ants are on the attack for water, not sweets or grease ants, every time it heats up, they come. Top of the day to you all. And have a safe 4th.

  41. I saw Queen live 4 times, late 70s, early 80s, always the best show of the year. I liked how the mixed it up….part of the show in the gowns and capes playing the softer stuff, then a wardrobe change into black leather and rocked the place.
