  3. OK, my wife is after me to take a break from the bathroom and have a little bit of a weekend. It's hard for me to stop, I don't relax well when there's work to do and there's is a ton left. Here's where I just left off. The rock is up in the shower and the cabinet bases are in. I still need to float all the screw heads and seams before I start with the tile. The cabinets and doors are getting primer. The interiors will be urethane on raw wood and the exterior will be white. All doors and facing has been removed for paint work and will be reinstalled once finished.

  4. Happy holiday C&C buds. Hope everyone is having a good day. I went to Win 10 and back to 8.1 as I was having trouble with a few things. Couldn't even locate my stored photos Then again with computers I'm far from the sharpest spoon in the drawer Started on a bike ride but it began raining before I got to the end of my road. So I returned home and started making shrimp salad from the leftover shrimp from Saturday nights shrimperoo. The LF and I made Barefoot Contessa's shrimp bisque last night. Bien! Also made a spinach pie topped with sweet onion, tomato, and a dash of paprika. So dinner was bisque and spinach pie. Clearing now so may get the bike ride in. Cheers Ladies and Gents

  11. Happy Labor Day guys. Good weekend so far. Spent Saturday a few miles south in Coorado Springs and walked through Garden of the Gods. Had forgotten how amazing that is. Met up with friends afterwards. Laid back on Sunday and did some BBQ chicken thighs on the grill. I usually smoke chicken with pecan wood, but decided to grill it on direct heat. Forgot how good that can be with a little BBQ sauce if not overcooked. Quicker than smoking too, although that's my first love. Enjoy the day!!

  13. I didn't have any issues either...Went from 8.1 to 10 Home without a glitch...I thought it best for me to do a complte clean install....Thats what I did.... If you by a PC or laptob from say NFM, or Bust Buy or whatever, you most likley are getting the crap that comes with it. Doing a clean install gets rid of the crap...

  15. totally understand the pharmacist is busy and has a task, and I am understanding of that which is why I just wait another day.....................What I dont excuse is the attitude At the end of the day most people know what there job entails and they choose to perform that job for one reason or another if it is to much for them to handle in a professional manner then I submit they look for a new line of work. It is not the customers fault they are doing what they are doing, it is however the customer that pays them and keeps them employed Oh and my work was federally regulated as well and I inspected 1000+ parts nightly which I had to sign for and if an accident happened it was my finances and freedom on the line if I failed to perform according to regulations

  16. My wife said this was a good DIY project. I told her hanging a picture or painting a wall was a good DIY project. This is like contractor work. I can't imagine how much someone would have charged me to do all this.

  20. Very good Carl........... Tuning? Well, there are a number of different adjustments on this pipes, too long to explain here, as pictures with the tools in hand would be much better to show just how it is done... I know there are some youTube vids that actually show what goes on inside the organ chamber during the tuning process. This would allow you to not only SEE, but HEAR the effect of pitch matching with the 'tuning' stop in the division OR, section of the organ... ...........ok, more practicing here.... :emotion-29:

  23. Good morning coffee lovers............ :emotion-44: Ok Steve, now I know what you are talking about.... I have found that this machine came with some games and a 'few' things that I will never use also... I was thinking of just removing them when I get a chance to do some house cleaning in Control Panel. But yeah, I am sure it is taking some space up on the HD Ok, Labor day! Getting ready to start the breakfast, then more music practice for tonight's rehearsal. We are doing a split show on a MAJOR outdoor stage... (Eastern States Exposition Fair) Heavy hitters play at this event which lasts 3 weeks starting the end of this month. So, we are a backup band for an hour show of mixed music from Country to 50ies rock! (guy and gal duo) So, I spent most of the day yesterday learning FOUR Shania Twain tunes for the gal who is coming to this evenings rehearsal. It will be the first time going over these with the band AND meeting her. Second half of the concert will be OUR Neil Diamond show per normal but cut in half... Wed, a FULL show at an outdoor venue/car show combo. Busy month....! I will have some VERY exciting news to share with you all for an epic event coming up in April that we JUST learned about a couple of weeks ago. OK, enough...........it is time to start the Melitta in the perc. and get the breakfast going. Enjoy your morning my friends

  26. This last maybe. Do not fall for the working on Labor day rap. It is a day to rest and think about coffee and cables and speakers. Not the version of these people who never did a day of work in their life... Update: Scanner is not in my vocabulary. They want to say something but, then I remind them I am leaving. Throw me under the bus, let them do the job without moi...lol

  27. After about 13 years of wandering in the audio wilderness, I have recently returned to the Klipsch brand. Much has changed in the 13 years, including equipment and where I live. While my room would be appropriately called a home theater, the fact is I do not watch movies, using the home theater mostly for sports watching. In this room I listen to music far more than watch TV, and do that in 2 channel. Hence my posting in this forum. Hopefully, I have attached a photo of the view from my listening seat, showing my new Heresy III's and the JBL subs that I had already owned.. Rear surrounds are a new pair of RP-240S. It is very good to be back.

  28. To celebrate my 40th bday, I went skydiving today! It was absolutely amazing. I had a peace the entire trip, never once felt nervous. We were the first to jump out of the plane. Wow what a view! Absolutely breathtaking. We freefall for about 45 seconds and the tandem instructor pulls the main chute. I was unaware at the time but the chute lines were twisted and it put us into a serious spin. I didn't realize anything was wrong, I was just along for the ride. LOL. He cut the chute loose and we freefall again and he pulls the second chute. I didn't realize anything was wrong until I the backup chute opened and he was breathing VERY heavily and VERY fast. I calmly said, "I'm guessing that didn't turn out exactly how you had planned". I asked if he was ok and he said yes. He shared with me that there was a lot that was going on and he had to make some quick decisions. I'm blessed that although his adrenaline was probably out the roof, he was able to safely disconnect from the main chute, get us stable and pulled the secondary chute. It was an AMAZING experience and I will likely do it again when my son turns 18 in two years.

  32. Bring the cabinet as is and the wood. We will make it happen. Looks like it is 1/4" layered on top of the 3/4". Might need to get two thicknesses of the plywood. The face of the motherboard is 1/4". Are you still going "grilless"?

  35. Well if the version 3's are the worst of the group, I'm not complaining. My CF-3's stayed around and bested the KLF-30's and my Polk SDA SRS 2's (which were no slouches). All I did was lengthen the ports to the "version 1" length and altered the crossovers based on the diagrams that are out there. I love the way mine sound....they do everything I enjoy hearing right.

  36. Got in at 5 this morning, read a couple of things here and will be leaving for my repeat a little bit later. Coffee tasting good...6 hour sleep good enough. Got me a fresh cup last night, black. Less said... Hope it leaves no scar Gary! Pharmacists are good people. Culture of Walgreens and CVS much nicer, in my experience. Smiling And helpful.

  37. Perhaps this will give you an idea of the pharmacy issue from the other side....my daughter is a pharmacist for CVS, and has been for 12 years. She fills over 700, yes, 700 prescriptions PER DAY. Now, I would like you to think about your job, or your....whatever it is you do, and think about performing 700 separate tasks every day, some of which involve highly regulated items which must be manually checked at least twice. Then, interface with customers, answer questions, answer the phone, talk to doctors, try to figure out the insurance company issues.......etc, etc. etc. It's not easy.

  38. WOW Joe, what a pharmacy story! Chris has had similar issues with a local CVS ! Drive up window after it was to be ready, "come back later, not ready" Drive away, do some shopping, come back later............ended up waiting for it out in the parking lot rather then drive back home!! Ok, cleaning up kitchen after a lovely breakfast with sis and Chris, and will go onto visiting a neighbor that wants me to do some landscape lighting for their beautiful home.. I will check in later...............MORE music tonight from Music Hall, but solo, no guests............anyone can stop by RTM and check out what we are playing, HELL, join in if your not busy .......................Gary

Well not much planned for the day so i told the wife we should hit the swapmeet walk again. 3 mile walk after a Corndog has got to be healthy. Saw some nice Bose out there yesterday from a guy who is there every week, he seems not to be able to sell them, is anyone is interested? Looks to be a good week to squirt Upol finish on the MCMs, two/part finish loves the heat for cure. Coffee time, cup two.

  40. Yes I like American honey, but last week in Arkansas we sat around and tried some different things. Of course I was sipping honey with ice but we tried a few different shots of tequila, Jose Cuervo gold and silver. Also in the taste test was 1800 and Patron silver. It was exhausting but someone had to do it and with about 8-10 people it got fun after a while. The winner was Patron for taste, but considering the price was double the price of Jose Cuervo and to be honest after a long extended tasting everyone decided Jose was the winner considering the $50 bottle of patron didn't go very far at all. So for the rest of the week it was Jose by the half gallon for the group. Even Joe who is 70 years old was keeping up, he is who gave me shots of the JG Devils cut. It was a rough 10 days but fun taste testing in the middle of know where with pro klipsch playing the whole time. going back in a few weeks for some extended tasting. This is Joe pouring me a shot of regular JB to get a taste before the devils Cut taste, how else can you decide ? Every night was a long night.

  42. PWK said almost the same thing that you said in your first statement. J. Gordon Holt once reported that his mail indicated almost the same thing that you said in your second statement. [!] I usually love my "lowly Khorns" for the sound of the orchestra, and practically all individual instruments and voices. I have a great deal of experience with live acoustic music. Once in a while there is a problem with the string section, but I hear that massed strings are difficult to record, so, for all I know, the string sound I hear in my room may be an accurate reflection of what is on the recording.

  43. What inside of this little box of whoop-a$$ looks like if anybody was interested. I've been dying to see it after Dave commented the following: "The passive filtering inside one tiny 140SA module is about as complex as that in your front mains and center combined. This is necessary to meet the directivity and frequency response requirements. The result Jay came up with was so good that at CES this year, Dolby was sending people to our Atmos demo because it showcased their technology better than what they brought themselves."

  45. You're hitting on all cylinders today my friend, as I too notice my setup sounds better with about a half a bottle of 12 year old scotch in me. Sorry to all for goading Steve into a conversation in this mighty fine thread, so to the OP and thread topic: Cornwalls with a six watt tube amp is overkill. But Maynard already knew this. I got an extra cup of coffee this morning if you couldn't tell...zero to 600 posts in half a day! -bb
