  1. My wife is a cellist and together with me, constantly spinning vinyl records, our house is most of the day filled with music! Today one of her new study books arrived in the mail. Just look at that picture below. Impressive, isn't it!? We are a pretty good couple, me with my 1972 Klipsch Heresy speakers, and she with her 1907 Parisian Jérôme-I-don't-know-what cello...

  4. We used to have B.O.S. parties. Bring Your Own Speakers. Wall of Sound type stuff. Don't recommend doing stupid stuff like that anymore, but it was loud, and that was all that mattered when you had 500 drunk fools, 17 half-barrels, and a pig on a spit that had been previously living in the basement for a month before the big event. Amazing what $5 at the door could get you into back then. 🕺 🔊 🐷🍻💃

  7. ervals), melt the cannabutter and dark chocolate. Remove the bowl from the heat, then add the sugar, molasses, vanilla, and salt. Add one egg at a time, mixing well after each. Beat for about 5 minutes, until a 5-second ribbon forms on the top of the batter when you lift the whisk. Stir in the chopped nuts (if you’re using them). Sift or whisk the flour with the cocoa powder, then add to the chocolate mixture. Combine just until the flour disappears (don’t overmix). Pour the batter into the pan and place in the center of the oven. Bake for about 25 minutes, until a glossy top forms and starts to crack. Keep an eye on the edges, they will firm up first. To check, insert a toothpick near the corner—it should have a few moist crumbs.

  9. It is now December 19, 2021. Today is the day where I ´m now 2 years member of the Klipsch community. Who would have thought that . I myself least of all. For this reason I would like to look back once. In Janunar 2020 I opened my Moddy Thread RF7 EvoTec. For this reason I had registered here at all to report on my experiences with the modifications with this speaker. Well , it followed the first shitstorm , followed by trolls , comparisons with a Jeffry D. Medwin were drawn . People made fun of me, especially the " Klipsch hardliners" Nevertheless, this thread has achieved about 57,000 views. Even Chief Bonehead looked in once, but unfortunately never commented. Why also .. I then thought to myself that it was time to leave again, because I no longer saw any point in staying here, technically I had communicated my claim to a Klipsch speaker and was not taken with my personal findings anyway. But then I discovered the Klipsch Lounge , especially the Vinyl Record Spinning Thread by Full Range from Australia. There I then found real international friends . This thread is exclusively about music, regardless of genre. Music brings people together, regardless of origin, skin color, social status and nationality. That pleased me very much moreover I noticed how funny it can be here, what I have already laughed for tears and met really great people. Here you´ll find nice guys from different nations and countries. It´s the only real international thread. Yes , the Community became aware of this German when he opened the thread The difference between MM / MC / MI . No spot or scorn . Over 88,000 views . Recognition from the Klipsch Kommunity. Thanks to all Then followed the thread DIY Audio Cable ...2,900 views , recognition from the community. No spot or scorn. Thanks to all. At some point I realized that they really liked me and took my technical know-how. So I offered my experience also in technical questions to find solutions. Then I stopped with the technical communication, too many cooks spoil the broth . Some technical Threads ended in farce. Because of my verbal quick wit, my kind of humor and the way I communicate internationally brought me more and more recognition ( Likes ) Same goes for the thread CCC&C or the Right this minute thread , when Tanglewood concerts were streamed. It was and is sometimes embarrassing for me to get so many "likes", to lead the leaderboard and that as a non-American. I like the fact that I am now accepted and appreciated as a permanent fixture in this community, and I return the same to all those with whom I am in closer contact here and communicate. However, what I do not like here at all ...." The most liked content of the day " that was maybe once 20 years ago hip, but should be abolished because it has no significance. What use this " last day won " recognition if this there from a forum member authoritative manipulated and in favor of close Klipsch forum members. This is bordering on insanity. I don't want to win this one and I can't help it if I get so many likes.I am neither a thread narcissist nor hot on the recognition of this mention. I am now once as I am and that reflects my way of communication here again. That was what I had to say, God bless you, wherever you´re from ..... George

  14. Star Trek has some great Episodes One of my favorites is the planet that is fully automated and auto pilot. When the machinery starts to break down, the current 3rd, or 100th generation, inhabitants... Don't know there is a machine, what it does, how it does it, or how to diagnose or fix it. Needless to say, the Enterprise usually saves the day, and the NPCs & SIMs carry on. Having worked in high tech, and not so high tech turn-key systems I got to see this movie play out in real life over and over again. Companies full of people who have no idea of what they are doing or why they are doing it..... But if you attempt to question or change their routine, they explode, freeze up, and or attack. Frequently, time has passed many, most, all assumptions and technologies by but no one was paying attention or awake enough to realize it. Hanging on for the cheap watch and low cost catered buffet.... someday. A newly wed man deeply in love, notices that his wife takes the Ham and cuts it in half before cooking it. Not wanting to rock the boat, he remains silent. One day, no longer able to keep it in, he asks her why she cuts the ham in half and suggests shorter cooking time, flavor, more seasoning etc ..... Wife responds, "this is how mother would make the ham". Thanksgiving comes around, and they go to Mama's house for dinner He remarks how much he loves the Ham and asks Mama why she cuts it in half Mama responds "Grandmother O'Leary makes it this way". She is coming for Christmas, you can ask her about it. Christmas arrives, and the man finds himself sitting across from Grandmother O'Leary after remarking on how much he loves the ham and unable to keep it in He asks Grandmother "Why do you cut the Ham in Half before cooking it" Grandmother O'Leary responds "when we immigrated from Ireland, we were poor and could afford only essentials, so I had to cut the Ham in half so it would fit into the two little pans I owned"

  16. Let cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before cutting into 16 brownies. (If you’d like—and if your pan isn’t glass—you can plunge the pan into cold water immediately out of the oven. The temperature shock achieves a chewy crust while maintaining the gooey center, a tip I learned from @dtel

  18. As an American please let me say Congratulations and thanks for participating. Fwiw, most of my posts were before there was even such a thing as "likes" and it's weird seeing some going around "liking" the most obscure things and at volume. Anyway, it takes different folks to make a community and it's nice having a guy from abroad comment although I miss those who used to engage especially on the contemporary topics that affect us all....

  19. For 30' I would use 14awg wire, at .0025 ohms per foot that works out to ~.075 ohms. Will work good. You don't need anything exotic you will not hear any difference. Just go into any Home Depot or Lowes and they will have something like this that you can purchase by the foot so go in and have the guy cut 65' of the stuff. Terminate how you like or just strip, twist and insert into speaker and amp binding posts. Easy peasy https://www.homedepot.com/p/Southwire-By-the-Foot-14-2-300-Volt-CU-Black-Flexible-Portable-Power-SJOOW-Cord-55812199/204725134?MERCH=REC-_-searchViewed-_-NA-_-204725134-_-N&

  20. Finally rewired my amp. It started when replacing the original tube sockets with Amphenol blade style. I installed a new stock replacement 7199 board from Dynakitparts a while ago. Just installed CDE WMF series film caps with stock values, painted them black because I don't like yellow. The choke, bias supply and cap can are new. Diode replaced the selenium rectifier. I have a near new testing vintage Mullard GZ34, four matched pairs of strong Mullard xf2's and 3 pairs of 7199's. Fortunately I read Dave Gillespie's ST-70 Baseline paper before doing anything to the amp. I'm very happy with the stock circuit and it sounds beautiful with my Crites Cornscala's .

  24. What...? There was a rainout the day it was originally supposed to happen, so no roast that day. Farmer wouldn't take it back. Had to keep it fresh, so the basement became a barn for a while. Thinking back, I remember a lot of people weren't grabbing a plate, 😖 but with 500 attending it did get gone. Not our finest moments.

  27. The RSW 10 drivers measure 3 ohms with a meter. You have the driver out so itll be easy to check. These amps are much better than their current offerings which seem to crap out fairly often. They will not however last forever. Eventually they fail. Not due to a bad design though. Just age.

  31. I will add, the knuconceptz wire is constructed like zip cord, and the great fexibility may mean long term durability is less, but it's great wire. Best would be like a heavier gauge Belden I have for mic cables. Cord through the middle and rubber jacket, still flexible and working after 45 years. I just always made sure I was the one putting the cables away. it's not rocket science if you use common sense.

  35. Wow. The two of y'all are perhaps the two who I've read technical stuff from where I appreciated both the layman's and technical side to their sharing. Glad I don't have to pass grammar tests anymore. George I know you better, the eclectic scope of music that you've shared has been interesting even when It wasn't my favorite genre. I try not to limit myself, but I discover new music here mostly. I'm anti top-40 so to speak. All I had to do was take the time to listen and discovered some new groups that I like. Thank you for enriching this community so much in these first couple of years for you sir!

  39. 30ft. runs-16 gauge is fine. If you were using the full 40W of the Kenwood (not likely), the wires would see a mere 2.2A assuming an 8 ohm speaker. I like the Parts Express wire because of the black/red color coding which makes it easy-peasy to identify polarity. Edit: I forgot that I bought unjacketed (no jacket enclosing both conductors), TWISTED speaker wire because I was having an interference issue that I thought was being induced in the speaker wiring. I can't recall where on-line I found it but it wasn't Parts Express. It was red/black, twisted, and I bought a 50ft. length, cheap. I agree with Alexander-don't bother with copper coated aluminum. The big box hardware stores that sell Southwire brand wire will have at least one conductor of copper clad aluminum, to save money. You could buy regular lamp cord/zip cord as some have suggested. It's cheap, one conductor is identified, and both conductors are all copper too. The only reason I don't like it for speaker wire is it's not as pliable as speaker wire.
