  1. I’ve been on the Decware list for a year, and still am. I wanted to find a versatile, affordable, point to point tube amp, with a big enough difference in sound signature that I would get use out of both once the decware comes. A brand new, sealed in box Willsenton R8 came up on Facebook an exit up the road for $500 off so I brought it home. Merry Christmas to me. It’s wonderful.

  2. First off, If you use the xlr from the Cambridge thats an anolog out so you already used the dac in the Cambridge to do conversion so no point in going threw another dac. Also if the Parasounds dont have balanced circuits then any bonus to using the xlr in the first place is lost. To get the full benefit from xlr the chain must be balanced from start to end. So I would just go with one of the digital outs( this bypasses the Cambridge dacs) and then use whatever dac that floats yer boat downstream.

  3. The sound is great, in my opinion. The issue with needing to unplug it to kinda reboot it when it disconnects is a real pain. They just pushed out a software update that implies you can reset it with the buttons now and not have to unplug it, though. That should help if it works. Mine has not disconnected since that update, so I can't say if that work around works or not. Hopefully, they have just solved the problem of the disconnects. With all that, I'm not sure I can recommend getting one at this point. I remain hopeful that they finally fix the problem, but it's been out there for some time.

  4. Well, we have been removed from FB for our HONEST opinions and some funny memes. Never harmed anyone and nothing ever 'out of line'. Opposing opinion that Zuckerberg doesn't approve of so he'll just show us what for. Sensor and removal. We do not miss it except those that use that market place...... We're outdoors types any way I guess😄 Curious how much?

  5. I don't believe that it's a lack of interest. As you know. this site used to be full of fun people who were knowledgeable and helpful, now it's not and we know why. I would love to have and hear your system. GLWYS.

  6. I don’t have them anymore. I do miss them though. I think they are the best direct radiator speaker in the Klipsch home speaker category. The amps that sounded best on the Chorus were a B&K ST-140, Yamaha M-85 and a B&K Ref4420. Most will disagree, but the more quality power, the better on Chorus.

  11. Hi everybody, in these days i was thinking to buy a 1200 Soundbar. Looking for information, specs, reviews...I finally see this site and I am quite concerning about the issues I have read. I would buy my unit here, in Spain. I feel worried about all I have read. Thinking twice if it is a good idea. I love Klipsch, I have other products (The Three, The Sixes) and they are perfect. But all of these messages I saw about disconnections, restart needed,...uf. Are there good news ? Thank you !!!

  12. Hello, I know it's been 7 years since the last post but I would like to share this with those of you who are still using their G-17 and would like to update it to the last (2015) firmware. I'm normally running on a Mac and I couldn't perform the update : light blinking red - computer kicked out of the Klipsch Air Setup wifi and then nothing, you have to reboot the speaker without any update. I found by pure luck a work around thru my kids recent W11 PC. What you need : A G-17 already setup in Airplay A Windows 11 PC hooked on the same Wifi network you are using for Airplay. Procedure : Under network on the W11 PC, your speaker should appear as DLNA device, you just need to click to access the Klipsch Setup webpage. Please make sure the .bcd file is somewhere you know. Under the webpage, you can go in firmware update, and you should be kicked out as before with the light blinking red. DO NOT CLOSE THE PAGE. Reboot the speaker and wait for it to hook back on its Airplay network. Go back into the Network and see it appears again as a DLNA device. Remember the page I told you not to close? It should say "Cannot connect" or something like that. It's time to you to refresh it and should be able to run the firmware update. I was so happy when I first found out that I bought another one which was collecting dust in a cupboard. So I did this twice. You need to be patient, sometimes, when you reload the page it will be still blocked and then you restart the whole thing and before reloading the page, you can try to put it as http://XXX.XXX.X.X.X format, deleting what was after. For the first unit, it took me like 4-5 attempts and like 30 mins, on the second one it took me a couple of tries and it was done in 10 mins. It's just me sharing what I did and the results of it, and in no way I plan to create a business upgrading G-17 or supporting them. I'm not guaranteeing anything too, if you brick your unit, it will be your doing and I'll have nothing to do with this.

  14. Sorry I've been on vacation here at my MT home won't return to WA until Monday night and I didn't take any pictures of the grill foam (actually thought about it) while I had the speaker apart. I have a pair of kp-301-ii's here and they do not have any foam behind the metal grill either.

  15. Just an FYI. Currently new RC-62 ii centers are available from Klipsch for $180. There were some on fleabay from authorized dealers for ~$200 or less new. Incredible value IMO. https://www.klipsch.com/products/rc-62-ii-center-speaker

  17. Is a price drop to $2,000 more attractive? Crazy lack of interest on anything listed. Feel free to ping me with offers on individual components as well.

  22. Yes it is good. It's one of the two that I like the other being Xochitl stone ground that are almost as good as fresh made. And not just fresh made salsa but fresh made good tasting salsa.

  24. Mark, I'm still enjoying my Merlin. I've not got the nerve to change from the 6DJ8 to the 6H30. It works great with the Duke.

  25. Only one way to find out for sure pick up some Chorus II's and try them out. I see no need to move the TV, worst case scenario the center speaker stand and sub move to the right a couple inches so the center wouldn't be "centered" on the stand but could still be centered under the TV. They're both great speakers room acoustics and equipment matching will play a big role on which you prefer. For me I've always preferred the Chorus models higher sensitivity and more forward midrange bass isn't as deep but seems a bit more accurate. Again only way to know for sure is try them out.

  35. When I was really sick I just kind of stopped caring about “stuff” and it became more about people. I became content with less and started reading more. He may not even care about some that stuff anymore - has anyone asked? We should strongly consider taking up some money for him. I would start the thread, but I’m a bit of polarizing figure around here right now.

  38. basic troubleshooting. if you swap the drivers and the problem follows, its the driver. if you want to pay $100 and up, for troubleshooting, take it to a dealer.
