    • @JohnJ Sounds like great times! Remember the late night entertainment roller derby? LOL
    • ROCK ON!! @wheelman   I was a teen in the disco years but did not have too much luck hunting at those discos. the "Dives" were much more fun and more free of "izod' folks   Those guys^^ played my town once or more a year in the late 70s to early 80s. That's my kind of dancin" music in addition to Grinderswitch and occasionally ZZTop. ZZ played the coliseum, UFO, Scorpions, Thin Lizzy the Park Center (wrestling arena). Grinderswitch, Fab T-Birds @ the music clubs where you could buy beer.   Once after Molly's first LP, UFO opened the evening then Judas Priest then Molly Hatchet. Danny Joe Brown fell off the stage and broke his leg another time   Saw that tour and "Force It" also. The manner that they could marry the genres or different sounds was spectacular!! Concise piano, orchestra plus a very good hard rock band on top is what I hear! Both the above and this I have Promos of:
    • Dave that mutt has four legs and two arms? Or is it six legs!🤣     Good to hear that @Invidiosulus Y'all are doing a heck of a job that shouldn't even be yours to start out with!!
    • Hello Junx… I ended up with the First Watt Sit-4. 10 watts of Class A…really sounds great
    • There’s threads stickied all over the forum that help decode info like that.   https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/212916-klipsch-heritage-series-historical-reference-data-v4-–-27-january-2016-by-groomlakearea51-with-additional-information-from-the-historian/
    • It usually means that one or more capacitors in the amp are bad.  Occasionally the amp can be repaired, sometimes the whole amp needs to be replaced.
    • Update for you all. Appreciate all the responses. Ended up buying these ones that popped up about a 9 hour round trip from me. One owner with original receipts/sales brochures etc.
    • i assume we're talking about chorus 1, not chorus 2 (the chorus 2 have a passive radiator on the back).  i have owned heresy 1, heresy 1.5, and chorus 1 (and cornwall 1).  based on my experience,  the price of the chorus 1 is about double that of a heresy 1.5.   the chorus 1, in my opinion, is a wonderful speaker.  it's physically huge and the soundstage it puts out is huge.  the chorus 1 has the classic heritage bass -- powerful and snappy -- not boomy.  i'm not a subwoofer expert, but i don't think the subs will get you to the sound of the chorus 1 -- the subs may fill in the low end, but i not sure they'll give you the scale of the chorus 1.  if you've got the space, i'd go with the chorus 1.
    • The guys were setting up the stage today and someone from FEMA rolled in and told them they heard we were planning a concert and free food. ”You can’t do that because this is a disaster area”. After some back and forth, the FEMA folks decided to let it go as long as we weren’t giving out food, we are right across from our friends (who were totally okay with us giving out free food) who run one of the only open restaurants in town at this point so food and drinks will still be available nearby. At this point the guy who owns the property where we are playing told the FEMA folks to F*** off and get off of his private property.   Should be a good time Saturday night!
    • Hi - I'm new to the forum, have 2 subs with same issue as described by OP.    Can you give a little more insight into your reply above that this is a sign that the amp is failing ? Is it a power output issue that causes the thumping ?   Appreciate any insight.
