    • Sorry, I didnt see your responses sooner. I replaced the 3 common ones near the burnt resistor - ones circled in red and the resistor I put in the back - with 1kOhm ceramic white.
    • think i might do just that.    thanks
    • Gotta go… $1500 a pair!
    • I actually just set up a mini system for a friend earlier this week in a similar sized space consisting of a pair of RP-600-II's and a RSL speedwoofer II 10" sub- I must say that combo really works and plays reasonably loud. We all stayed up late drinking some beverages and towards the end of the night seemed to max out the volume but it was plenty loud and probably a good thing it leveled off where it did. If you like to jam at extreme levels on a regular basis I'd recommend towers but the 600's do pretty dam well up pretty loud and sound great.
    • Not sure if our resident expert will remember these artists AKA @Dave1291 From 1968
    • I have a pdf of the service manual, but it is too large to attach. If you message me with an email address I'll send it to you. It has all the schematics and alignment info, etc.   That's 40+ years old. Those transistors my no longer be available.
    • This is a very late contribution... I have "installed" Isoacoustics Gaia Titan feet on my Klipschorns with a fantastic outcome. What I ended up doing is making a 1.5" plinth of plywood (two 3/4" pieces of plywood w faces married using woodglue/clamp) in which I was able to drill/tap for four threaded inserts (you must use metal threaded inserts and not tap the wood itself as the metal threads of the feet will eventually rip through this) for the four feet and then screwed this into the bottom of my Klipschorns. They sound fantastic
    • Nineteen years ago, just three days after Christmas, my first wife (and Invidiosulus' mom) passed away. It's hard to fathom how the time has passed. She was a most amazing woman, fantastic mom, and delight for the years we had her in our lives. She poured herself into our three kids (yup... two more besides Josh).   I've been blessed with a second wife, also amazing. Totally different, they can't be compared, but suffice it to say, we are doing quite well.   Christmases are a double edged blade for all of us. I'll have to have some icecream in a bit. Barbara never got to see the marriages or grandkids... This could go on and on, but partly, thanks to those on the forum who supported us, even if just being there when we needed it. Thoughts and prayers to you all! It's partly why I am reminded of members here who we know have passed away. Doesn't matter your beliefs when they are your friends.   So... stuck between Christmas and the New Year. Peace!
    • I don't miss doing that.  I eventually moved to a plow on a SxS, but still didn't like doing it...  Especially when we got several feet of snow.     Now, if I ever get enough snow to actually need to move, which is unlikely...  I'll use the tractor.  Since moving to Arkansas, I've seen one decent snow a year and it's laughable how it slows everything to a crawl while I drive around people.  Hell, they shut the schools down for a week with a little snow.  I used to drive my daughter to school in almost-blizzards in Colorado.   I did buy some street tires for my Sky recently.  The tires on the stock wheels were the originals and like 18 years old and 10k miles.  Really hard...  but no cracking.
