  1. A rainy, rainy Monday here. Wish I could share it with you guys that are so dry. Our runoff goes down to the creek 400 feet away and then to the Intracoastal Water Way. Good day for a movie, music, or wrestling with the neighbors daughter Cheers Gents

  4. That's probably the best way. The nice thing about the peat pellets is that you can start them in the house when it's too cold outside to do it there. I just got used to doing it that way.

  8. Glad you're ok too. Unrelated - but we found out my dad has about 6mos-yr to live last week. (Cancer) Enjoy the hobbies & projects - but hug your loved ones everyday! Life offers these "unexpecteds" at times - they certainly do offer some perspective!

  11. My right and left channels are currently 13' 4" apart (13.3 ft.). The imaging from the K-402's is superb that way. You have 16 ft. to work with, so what I would do is place the Danleys on each side wall vertical so the ports are up high into the corners. You would be corner loading the subs for greater efficiency. This would reduce the R and L channel spacing to the exact same dimension that I now enjoy. But there is a solid image. Besides you can angle the Jubes so the centers aim at your sweet spot, right? NOT 45 degrees. The DTS-10 is 60" tall minus 20" for the port. The Jube bass bin is about 38" tall, so with the K-402's frame adding an extra 3/4" is no big deal. The mouth of the 402 would visually cover up the port screen and the port would fire above the Jube bin and into the the back of the K-402's driver is, which take up very little air volume so the sub bass would fire right past it. Having the back end of the 402 in the way of those huge waves from 12-40 Hz. would have no effect on the output, trust me. Then all you have to do is use the exact same paint as your walls to paint the Danleys and they would, visually "disappear." this is what I would do if I were you.

  12. I was able to get the seeds planted that Dtel sent, some seem to be molding so we will see what happens. This pepper thing is kind of interesting, I think I might find another hobby if I am not careful. I was just reading and it looks like the basket of fire is the hottest, most of the rest look to be about 30,000-50,000 scovllies which are 3-5 times hotter then the Jalapeno pepper.

  19. Up for sale are my 4 Klipsch THX KW-120 Subwoofers with 2 Klipsch THX KA-1000 Subwoofer amplifiers. Each KA-1000 powers 2 of these THX Subs. I bought brand new and have enjoyed them thoroughly. I will be selling them as 1 set at $4000 firm. I’d love to sell them as a complete set @ $4000 including both amps. I will however sell them separately at 1 amp and 2 subs for $2000 each. Id be willing to drive and meet someone depending on where they live. You are getting 4 subs and essentially 2 free amps. These are Pick up only since there so heavy I will not be shipping them. They currently reside in my theater and im happy to give demos of these. PM me if interested.

I used peat pellets to start some seeds I had back in high school, then my mom caught on and threw them out. Bad Duder, bad

  22. One of the greats, indeed! Super movie he was in, a black and white one (can't recall title) where he comes up with plans for D-Day and the Germans knock him out, kidnap him and when he comes to in a hospital makes him believe the war is over and tries to make him spill the secrets. Classic!

  32. Most of the stuff on ebay I see is pro audio gear and requires balanced or 1/4 jack connection meaning you will be playing with conversion adapters or all new cables that if you change up your system are a loss my suggestion is http://www.marchandelec.com/xm9.html call phil Its free, and he will set up up with one of the best crossovers and it will be 1 of those pieces you will want to keep forever as the are so flexible and can work with countless situations you will pay a little more for phil marchand but you can rest assured it is one of the best on the market and will sound great, also there is no reason to buy anything more then the xm9 3 way because stepping up to the 44 or 126 has very little or no sonic value (i have had all 3) once you get something like this bi-amp / tri amp, is a no brainer

  35. OR, maybe these: http://www.klipsch.com/pressreleases/cinema-surrounds-press-release Klipsch Launches New Cinema Surround Speakers at CinemaCon 2014INDIANAPOLIS (March 24, 2014) — Klipsch, a leading global speaker and headphone manufacturer, today unveils five new professional cinema surround speakers at CinemaCon 2014 in Las Vegas. Including two 8-inch woofer models (KPT-8000-M and KPT-8060-H) and three 12-inch woofer designs (KPT-1200-M, KPT 1260-H and KPT-1200-VBM), these high-aesthetic, molded-cabinet models present a contemporary look that blends perfectly into today’s modern cinemas. “With the rising desire for increased aesthetics in speakers visible to the audience, it is important that we continue to deliver our premium sound quality with attractive and elegant products,” said Rob Standley, regional vice president of Klipsch commercial sales. “As a well-known brand in the minds of theater operators around the world, our new cinema surround speakers once again prove our unwavering dedication to remain innovative and deliver lifelike audio experiences designed to let audiences experience all the emotions the artists intended.” Designed for flexible ceiling or side-wall placements, the new range of models include solutions that are perfect for everything from small, budget-conscious venues to grand auditoriums. Like all Klipsch surround speakers, the new speakers perfectly timbre-match Klipsch behind-screen systems for a seamless, immersive presentation. For placement flexibility, all models incorporate 8-degree or 15-degree angles with threaded inserts to accommodate optional Klipsch or industry standard brackets. Klipsch’s proprietary Tractrix® Horn technology provides critical low-distortion clarity with high-efficiency for maximum output per watt. The addition of elliptical inserts, or “mumps”, into the horns enhance coverage across the full dispersion area of the horn. Depending on the model, either a 90-degree by 60-degree or a 100-degree by 100-degree dispersion pattern provides multiple options in covering a wide range of auditorium sizes with immersive sound. Additionally, the KPT-1200-VBM incorporates Klipsch’s Virtual Boundary Array Technology (VBAT) using a pair of skewed horns that cover 140-degrees horizontally with a tight 60-degree vertical pattern that flawlessly delivers broad sounds with detailed surround information. Enabled with a wide pattern, the VBAT technology takes full advantage of advanced, digital sound formats. The five new Klipsch professional cinema surround speakers debuting at CinemaCon 2014 will be available for purchase in May. 38. Got up at 6 this morning so I could have the pool pump motor at the pool supply house when they opened at 9. Had some 8O'clock coffee at 6 O'clock. Didn't seem right with the time difference and all, oh well. Fired the motor up at the shop and it was dead silent. Brought it back home and looked for rub marks on the impeller and housing. Nothing there. Threw it all back together and..............silent. It's been quiet all day, don't know what was making it wail yesterday and at this point I could care less. I'll spend the rest of the afternoon picking out my cocktail of choice for this evening. Cheers

  43. That's a loss, too. Where is he going? Steve retired. Sadly for us, happily for him. I'm sorry to hear that, but good for Steve! I'm glad I had the opportunity to speak to him last June, shortly after I got my La Scala IIs. He was courteous and knowledgeable, as usual, and had the answers to all my questions, except one that he referred to Amy, who referred it to Roy, who promptly got the answer back to her and thence to me. I often tell my friends that nobody beats Klipsch for helpful interaction with their customers.

  47. I would finish them for a purchaser if they so desired, clear oil or a medium walnut oil would give the medium oak finish similar to what Klipsch used. I have no facility for painting however ( and honestly, that would be a sin here)
