  7. Jim Hunter Thanks!! Hey, for you North East guys, just get enough food in the house and hunker down for a couple of days. We get blasted like that in Denver metro every couple of years. Folks 20 miles west of us and on the Western slope of Colorado get it every year. The last time we 'got it' I stayed home and took a mini-vacation. Hang in there and let us know how you're doing. 15. For a screw-in barrel, wouldn't that be a little dangerous by changing the head spacing to a possible case rupture? What I've done before is take the ammo I intend on using and tell my gunsmith to match the barrel to it instead of the other way around. Really makes a difference with Eley ammo.

  16. I've found that a "Match" chamber can be sensitive to some ammo. Match chambers do work well with match cartridges. If you go with a match chamber be sure to check that desired ammo works well. Or keep the original barrel for the ammo that does not function in the match chamber. Some barrel manufacturers will recommend a certain cartridge for different barrels. 10-22 is simple to change barrels and stocks. Unless you go with a screw in barrel option for better accuracy! 18. Morning gang, I tried to post all day yesterday. But couldn't get service where I was. I had my first bbq contest yesterday. My buddy and teammate made a awesome sausage fatty that placed 5th. We also did chicken, people's choice ribs, and competition ribs. Though we didn't place in any on those, we did beat some local pro competitors. But sometimes you just have a bad run. I need to work on my texture, but there were a lot of 9s for flavor. I don't remember to take pictures, but did manage to get one of the chicken. And for Tigerman.

It has the Audyssey MultEQ XT32 but I have to buy an Audyssey Microphone before I can try it out. Wakejunkie will be getting one of the receivers. It should be a nice upgrade from his Denon AVR791 and he will finally have Preouts so we can begin to look for him a 3ch amp for his front soundstage. I will need to replace some of the batteries in the Monster HTUPS. I'm going to keep the Harmony 900 and sell my Harmony One. Will be nice to have RF capabilities. I bought everything as a Lot so some of the items I don't need will be put up for sale. My wife is leaving today at 2pm to get ready for her Half Marathon tomorrow so I can play to my heart's content. Today is going to be a fun Saturday!

  21. We used to get the Marlin 39A's (by the case) with a one power scope. Everybody that used it was deadly accurate with targets on the fly, yes up in the air a flying. No squeezing the trigger, just blasting and never missing under 50 yards. That scope made them awesome. Funny but I still have one but can't find the scope anywhere. Had a very large field of view and as soon as the target was in the scope you fired. No aiming, just fire. JJK

  25. Good luck finding .22 magnum! I also have a bolt action clip-fed rifle that shoots the .22 magnum, a Mossberg 640KA, model, "The Chuckster." It's a real tack driver, but it's magnum only, no .22 LR. (this is not my photo)

  26. I'm a firearm enthusiast, but "tactical guns" simply don't interest me. I grew up shooting a Ruger 77/22 http://www.ruger.com/products/rotaryMagazine7722/models.html We used it to keep the local possum and raccoon population at bay for years. Its a great gun to teach youngsters with and is more accurate than most semi-autos.

  27. Keith, As stated prior, there is a National shortage on .22 LR ammo! If you are descided on one of the AR look alike rifles, go for it, they do look cool. As for me, if you want a semi auto in .22 LR, the Ruger 10-22 is a cheaper base gun, weighs a lot less, which to me is more important in fun, and target acquisition, and can be made ALOT more accurate than the rifles you are looking at. I own 4 customized 10-22 rifles, if you are serious about putting money down on as accurate a semi auto 10-22 as you can buy, look into coolguysguns.com , Volquartsten used to be the only name in the game when it came to customizing a 10-22 Ruger, as such, their prices reflect a once held strangle hold on the market. Tony Kidd at coolguysguns.com not only sells better products, he also sells them for less. I have used many volquartsen pieces and the only thing they still have the best in my opinion is their bolt. Volquarsten offers a 2 pound trigger, I have owned two of these and sold them. I can get a better trigger job done to a factory metal trigger for $85 on eBay. Also, the new rugers have plastic triggers now. Tony Kidd sells a 2 stage trigger with a 6 ounce pull. Tony also sells complete match .22 LZR with guaranteed 0.5 MOA groups at 50 yards, that is going to be 5 shots with the furthest bullet from the furthest bullet out of 5 shots only 0.25 inches away center to center. If you get serious about accurizing a 10-22 Ruger, feel free to call me a (419)-231-5494 Roger

  28. Japanese Coffee Grinder, with whole beans in the container, and my Melita espresso maker, I also use spring water (deer park) I have to work for a cup My problem is I love the taste / smell of coffee, but I cannot take the caffeine, so finding a GOOD BOLD COFFEE flavor in Decaf is tough Most off the shelf decaf is weak as Pi$$ So I found a botique that does decaf French Roast and I grind 2 Tbsp at a time for a really bold cup o decaf

  31. No, no, no. Electronic devices run on smoke. As long as you keep the smoke in the amp everything will work fine. As soon as there is a leak and some smoke is let out, the amp will quit working. I thought everybody knew that?

  32. Been drinking java with half & half most of the time lately. Just emptied the pot black into a cup, and added a shot of Black Velvet, after we removed and cleaned the hot water supply to the washing machine. Was barely trickling out. Just needed a flushing and cleaning of the screen. Have to celebrate these little victories.

  34. No that particular cutie is LF's niece. She is 22 y/o and in college and the Army. Finished PT first in her group. Goes to school about an hour away. Came to visit to have a quiet place to study. We had a good meal and a fun time. She straightens out our computer problems for us while she is here. We feed her and I'm allowed to carry her popcorn while she studies. LF never had children and neither did I. Use to call people like us DINKS. Been on here too long today. Good night gents.

  36. Hello TOPALOGLOU and welcome to the forum! Also, Hello too you parlophone1 and boomer9911. To make this as simple as possible, Paul Wilbur Klipsch said there is no such thing as High Fidelity. Something either has fidelity or it does not... Does this make sense to you??? Therefore, your speaker wire and interconnects either have fidelity or they do not... Are you with me so far?? You cannot make a system sound better than the signal sent to it, ie; we cannot increase the fidelity of the signal, only deteriorate or add to the signal that which was not there before. Therefore, as long as you are running wire of sufficient gauge for the length needed for the run, we cannot improve upon this signal. High end speaker wires and interconnects often use capacitance in line wich can soften the sound and some may find the difference pleasing to the ear, make no mistake, this change in the signal path is NOT fidelity!!! I own over $4,000 in interconnects of one type from a company and I have the same brand two models cheaper and the cheaper interconnects sound better! I also have silver plated 10 Guage stranded pure copper wire with gold plated spade connectors and it sounds no better on TSCMs, Klipschorns or LaScalas than 14 Gauge stranded pure copper zip cord type wire. Spend your money on music or upgrading something else in your system, patch cords and speaker wires are myths that someone can make a lot of profit off of you by pulling a fast one on you. Roger

  38. Make sure you have a supplier for the ammo, around here 22 LR is near impossible to get and when it does show up the limit your purchase to 2 boxes

  42. Dean, I had no idea you were "Flux" I have to confess my wondering. Flux was almost as irritating as FLK. And you know, you have been protesting quite a bit... turning over his posts to the moderator, etc. Maybe FLK is one of those bad personalities, and you just don't know it yet, when he comes out and takes over when Dean is in trouble. In the wee hours when you guys were posting I was working putting my Eico back together. Sometimes I think I must have ADD, but I stayed with that project way too long to have ADD. I guess I can pay attention if I'm interested. BTW, on spiritual gifts, my wife tells me I have a one that Paul left out of his letters in the NT. That is the spiritual gift of irritation... the profound and divinely gifted ability to irritate others without even trying.
