  3. In the last couple of months I have received emails from Wells Fargo asking me to update my username, and password for security. Now the letter looks official, but I noticed a few things were strange... 1: I closed my account 3-4 years ago. 2: I was told in the past that letters should have your name, and not Wells Fargo Customer (or whoever else it is from). 3: I Googled the phone number, and it doesn't come up as a Wells Fargo number. Next I called Wells Fargo, and informed them of the email... I was told: 1: They do not address their emails "Dear Wells Fargo Customer". 2: The phone number is not theirs. I never clicked on any of the links nor would I advise anyone else to do so if they get a suspicious email. It is the Holiday season again and scammers are out there trying to steal whatever they can from YOU. Please be diligent and make sure you know who you are responding to is actually who you think they are, and not a scammer. If anyone has any experiences or suggestions for others, please feel free to post them up so we can inform others.

  5. Morning gang No Tacos this week 51 and lil bit of rain an hour out. All Ski areas are open as of last week. Could/should drag the Dodge rotor and one wheel into the garage, bolt the rotor assy to the wheel And then im able to use a breaker bar on the nine bolts holding the lugs to the rotor. i could. But then again, another cup of coffee or two and back to the horizontal position for a movie. I put the trash out, i believe that is quite enough work for the morning.

  11. If you're still interested, i'll put you in contact with my "Bean Guy." His name is Jack. Trust me, well over 20+ years ago, some of my friends were from Brazil, Nuf Said? When leaving the OC, you write off many things, this ensures a longer fruitfull life. Wifes, Jobs, Partying, Rest & Repeat. You need to be out of the lifestyle well over a year, before you see you really did make the "Right" move.

  13. good morning having my Green bean Ethiopian Aribica cold brew extract with a couple teaspoons of coco powder (really good for your veins and arteries, and I need all that kind of good that I can get). I got a two Kg bag of this green Ethiopian coffee bean on the weekend along with a hand crank ceramic burr grinder (the green beans are hard as rocks). So I took twenty beans and threw them into a small glass of filtered water five or six were still floating a few hours later and I pulled them out as duds. Less than eighteen hours total and I got nine beans with little toot stubs about 1/8" long sticking out of them. Going to have some Arabica Coffee plants for Christmas. Three or four years from now we will see some bright red Coffee cherries on those plants this time of year. Coffee leaf is said to make excellent tasting tea (almost no caffeine) but many many time more powerful in terms of antioxidants than green tea leaf. Hard to find the Coffee leaf for tea right now but it is out there and it will be coming on in a big way. Have a great day today guys. Best regards moray james. http://www.thealternativedaily.com/free-radicals-drink-coffee-leaf-tea/

  18. http://www.la-z-boy.com/p/charlotte-high-leg-recliner/_/R-028931 Comes in brown or burgundy for $399 + tax (ends this weekend). Of course you can go custom for $400 more, but I opted for the black friday special. My ears are just above the back and the chair is well padded too. Seems like a great audiophile chair, especially if you are ultra anal and want to have your impulse response plot look a little cleaner. It will be interesting to compare REW measurements versus my leather chair with a very high back. Made in the US, and the construction looks good given it's price. PS: I think this may be instore only at your nearest La-Z-Boy store.

  25. Ok....let's see.... RF-7ii have a 101db sensitivity. Double the power = a 3db gain in volume 1 watt = 101db 2 watt = 104db 4 watt = 107db 8 watt = 110db 16 watt = 113db 32 watt = 116db 64 watt = 119db 128 watt = 121 Looks like you will be able to enjoy about 8 seconds of that amp cranked wide open before you lose your hearing. I somehow "think" that Adcom would power your RF-7ii's just fine. Keep in mind, a quality power amp will have a much easier time driving a set of speakers, especially when you get above 5 speakers. With a receiver, as you ad more speakers, you get less power from your amp. With power amps, you have the same watts / ch even when adding more speakers. Yes...but you are wise in doing as much research as you can. Then and only then will you be able to make the best decision for you and for your setup. I wouldn't say it's for no reason at all. Truth is....do any of us "need" an amp? No. Are there benefits of adding an external power amp? Absolutely. Are they night and day difference from your receiver? No. Is this all confusing? Yes.

  29. Yea I'm with ya Joe..... Some of you guys out West come over here to the East coast and check out the I-495....the beltway around DC.....oh yea it's best is around 4:30-5:30.....or you could always venture into DC.....and depending on the time of day the streets change there direction.....it's a mad house. Many many years ago I took a job at a Honda dealership just outside of DC.....they through some big coin at me to run the shop.....I lasted 3 days....on the 3rd day I told them I'm going back to the dealer I came from.....they said "we can give ya more money".....ahhhhh no thanks.... I now have my 11 mile trip to my shop, passing farms and cows along the way....it's priceless..... MKP :-)

  33. Interesting, especially considering Metropolis Lake is at the end of a dead end road that is pretty straight and doesn't really have any corners you'd turn down when you got to it. Are you saying you worked at the Shawnee Steam Plant, or lived off of Metropolis Lake Road? It is in fact a real nice place to visit if that's all you meant. I was based in Chattanooga, in Engineering, but had assignments at. SHF, Shawnee Fossil Plant beginning in 1988. I worked on environmental stuff and the waste disposal areas.

  34. That's not mayo. Kraft Mayo with olive oil only because I want to pretend to be healthy--Otherwise it would be Kraft Mayonnaise all of the way! Miracle whip is not mayo and it's horrible. Kraft mayo is still wrong Hellman's is universally recognized by chefs as the best store bought prepared mayo (mass market) in the USA at least. Absolutely do not like Mayo, prefer Miracle Whip, especially on something like dry white meat turkey sandwich! Roger

  37. Do they by chance call you on your cell? We only have cell phones in our house, and whenever i get a call like that I tell them I am on the "Do not call list", and hang up...then I go into my phone and block the number. It has reduced the number of solicitors calling me.

  40. I told Steve Lefkowicz about my headphone amp and the new Eliptrac 240s... He wanted to come hear and brought along some friends. Russ, Stratton, Steve Lefkowicz, and Mike Mercer. My 2 close friends join in to aid with setup. Andy Mawhinney, Art Acosta. My wife and daughter were out of town so setting up the whole house to audition was pretty amazing. After comparing my reference pair of Cornscalas to the pair getting ready to be shipped to NYC all agreed that the big boys were better in every respect. (I still love my pair more :-) ). The big Eliptrac 240 and BMS 4592 throws a huge immersive sound stage. ALK crossing over 300hz and 4500hz proved a wise choice giving the cornscalas a bass speed I haven't heard before. Drinks, Chocolate, and beagles had by all. The system was thunderous with 3 watts of SE goodness. (Ken-Rad 6B4Gs). MBP and Pono as source.

  41. I have the RP 280F's and really love 'em. I've had them for a month, so I'm still breaking them in, but they sounded great right out of the box. I have a sub available, but I ended up moving it to the bedroom system. These do not require a sub unless you have to have chuffing, knock the pictures off the wall bass. For stereo listening, these give a LOT of bang for the buck. Crisp highs, clear mids, and bass, while I wouldn't call it massive, is quite abundant and clear. I listen to jazz, classical, and mostly, 60's and 70's rock. Best speaker choice I've ever made.
