Up and had breakfast at the Hilton, walked across the street to the USCIS Office, went through all the security, wife is now waiting for her number to be called. What a great day!7 points

Planning a short trip to Portsmouth, ME for a couple of days with dad. I'm really looking forward to a lobster roll! We had an engagement party last night after working all week putting a new deck surface on the house.7 points

Sunset over Lake Michigan at Point Betsie Lighthouse Frankfort, MI. The attached photos appear in the reverse order from how I attached them. The freighter photo is fuzzy because it was merely a speck on the horizon until I used the "telephoto" feature of the Samsung Galaxy S6. I still prefer using a camera that cannot also order a pizza, but the quality of phone pics is now so good it makes it harder to justify always carrying a real camera,5 points

Only had a large coffee this a.m., as we headed to a Filipino-American summer picnic. Was great, super hot, glad we had two roast pigs... Left early to get to Atlanta, so we can easily get wife to her U.S. citizenship interview at 9:00 am. We're tucked into our hotel across the street from the USCIS office, going to get a good night's sleep, get up early and have a great day!5 points

Regardless of who carries what, the reference premier line has titanium tweeters instead of aluminum, as well as better crossovers. The end result is much smoother / less harsh, especially at higher volumes. Some people attribute the smoothness to the new molded silicone horns but that may be debatable. The titanium tweeter alone is worth moving to the premier line. I just installed a set of RP-260F's in a similar sized room in a college apartment and the bass response was surprisingly good. Oh I didn't polish them..... I replaced em..... Over the years of working on that Civic I polished them two or three times.... it was time for new ones. As cheap as I can buy aftermarket units I just wasn't polishing them again... MKP :-)2 points

Morning gang.... a good Saturday to all.... I'm Here Chuck Was at the shop late last night working on Emma's Civic (youngest daughter).... Didn't get home till after 10:00.... Still got to get the car to the alignment shop, do that next week sometime. Today The BOSS and I will be working on the new office at the house... got my new/used desk from CL...it's really nice....and the guy we got it from was very nice. The BOSS spoke with him over the phone and he said he'll take $75 for the deck.... Had it listed for $100...... Anyway when we got there he was very excited to meet me... The BOSS told him that we had a shop and I had been working on Asian car's for 30+ years... He has two Toyota's.... a Camry and a Tacoma. He Told me he it tired of being taken advantage of and has been looking for a new shop. He helped me load the deck and he didn't take a penny for it..... He said "just speaking to you guys I can tell your good people and the desk is yours" Well ok then..... that's cool.... good karma.... Well The BOSS is yelling at me.... looks like we getting ready to dismantle the office..... I'll check in later... Give me a minute I'll load a few pics of Emma's Civic... MKP :-)2 points

Some of the new pc's are locked down to only boot to windows 8 or 10. There is usually a setting in bios to turn this off.1 point

Corey, welcome to the forum. I would go for the RP-260F over the R-28F. The "reference" line is just the old Best Buy consumer oriented "icon" line rebadged while the "reference premier" line is the new replacement for the old "reference II" line. I'd recommend calling Acoustic Sound Design to make sure you're getting the best deal.1 point

I thought you wanted HDMI? Yamaha Integrates should be better than the receivers with Klipsch speakers. I can also vouch for the Class D world of Pioneer Elite. With the Elite, you may not miss the external power amps. My (semi-elite) Pioneer SC-1222k has pretty good drive, isn't harsh, and sounds quite good for a receiver though gives you 90% of a good amp and you can be happy because you have all the dac/goodie combos.1 point

I agree with your assessment of imaging: it's the sum total of the performance attributes that have been thrown around in conversation. It's the result of doing everything right--loudspeaker performance, driving electronics, source material (most importantly), and room acoustics. What I've found is that a lot of folks assume that you have to be in one spot--the sole listening position for one person as if your head is in a vise--to hear it. That's just not the case if your loudspeakers are up to the task and your acoustic integration of the loudspeakers into the room is done well. The additional performance attributes that I added--the width and depth of room's "sweet spot", and decay performance of room--are typically ignored by those that apparently only expect to only be able to hear their loudspeakers sitting or standing in one spot, and that don't consider these additional two attributes to be part of "imaging" in the broadest sense. With proper acoustic treatments and arrangement of furnishings to integrate your loudspeakers into the room properly using acoustic measurements in a feedback loop of information...most of your room becomes the active listening space. It took a while--and a few serendipitous choices, such as: 1) choosing the right loudspeakers/drivers with high quality electronic crossovers 2) the listening room chosen (sufficient dimensions, care in placement of furnishings), 3) finding the best positioning of the loudspeakers within the room, 3) measuring/adjusting room acoustics (diffusion+absorption, including bass traps), and 4) carefully dialing-in EQ all loudspeaker channels (by hand). Do I have more to do? Of course...always... Chris1 point

It is very difficult to compare two large loudspeaker systems to each other unless they are in the same acoustic space, playing identical music, and both properly set up. The Magico Ultimate is very expensive and will come up short in a direct comparison with Klipsch Jubilees, should such a comparison ever occur. The Magico Ultimate is a boutique loudspeaker designed to appeal to gear snobs who buy on price - the higher the price the better the sound, or so they say. To go along with the automotive analogy, the Magico may well be considered the Ferrari of loudspeakers, based on price, while the Klipsch is more like a Z06 Corvette - much less expensive, with better performance than Ferrari in nearly every area.1 point

I'm working on the lightning stuff and making some headway! Bought an AC control board off Ebay and swapped out my bad one. Dish Network replaced my receiver. swapped out my bad ice maker only to discover voltage going to ice maker not correct. Main board suspect. swapped out Blu-ray power supply and its back to working. Still plenty to do.1 point

I've been in an email conversation with Craig and have decided to send him the amp, based on his expertise and your glowing (pun intended) endorsements. Thanks guys!1 point
