  1. Now that's just not right, your talking about coffee as if it's a lesser drink, dude it's the king of drinks ! Ok I have a coffee addiction, it's not the caffeine it's the taste.

  3. Iv seen it for years, Totalwine/BevMo have their own Branding also. Iv yet to talk to someone who has tasted any two of them. Baileys being mass produced is chit. Any aftermarket Dublin made, should taste better. Now knowing smaller distillers care for quality over quanity, theirs seems to be "On The Rich Side".

  4. Hey MM, you ever try the Irish cream from Costco? Just curious if it compares with Duggans et al. Sure is priced better/right. And after all I'm just gonna put it my coffee.

  8. If you paid with PP, open a dispute with PP. when they see the transaction history, they should issue a refund immediately. If you used a CC to fund your PP account, call your CC company and file a dispiute. You need to get your money NOW, this guy sounds he could fold at any time and then you go to the bottom of the payee's list. Which is the people who don't get paid. FILE THE DISPUTE WITH PP NOW, QUIT F*CKING AROUND WITH IT. You can do it 24/7 online Mark

  12. Quality espresso makers aren't cheap. I got mine about 10 years ago. It still looks and works like new. I think the one above is made in Australia. Looks like a fine machine. I like the Italian ones myself. Here's mine, well an internet picture of one like mine.

  13. Aaron, don't second guess yourself. As a consumer you did nothing wrong. I had a similar experience when I ordered a Harley once after putting down a cash deposit. I ended up having to call the factory to check on the order as I got the run around from the dealer. I even had to get an attorney involved. If your dealer took care of their business and answered your questions honestly and in a timely manner, you would never have had to call.

  14. Some years back before personal computers became popular, & we got our news from the television, radio and newspapers, it was at this time I choose to listen to music rather than watch, hear, or read the news. I would listen to vinyl when not working. I'm talking back in the 1970s. I choose this because, music was my escape at the end of the day. Its not that I did not hear of the worlds problems and current events, its just I choose music as my get away from the crazy world we were living in. Now all these years later, the artist I used to listen to, hours on end are passing on. It has come to the point when I hear music from the passed on artist my pleasure from the past has become sad to the point of tears. It honestly makes me not want to listen anymore. But wait a moment, we still have the BEEBS and alike. To Mr Lake and all the others gone his way, from the bottom of my heart I hope God is blessing you all. As for the rest of us, give someone a big hug and kiss and let them know how much you love them.

  16. I just completed the finish of a style D Cornscala that Bob Crites designed for me. The top contains the Faital Pro LTH142 Tractix Horn with the Faital Pro HF 140 Driver. The bass cabinet contains the CW1526CF woofer. He designed the crossover network to cross at 700 hz. They are great sounding speakers mated with the McIntosh 225. Bench test of the 225 shows output at 32 wpc. I think it is an excellent two-channel system. Thanks, Bob, for all of your suggestions and help. Picture is attached. I hope? Frank

  17. I agree. Since you haven't bought the speakers yet, redirect your aim at some real Reference stuff. If you want new towers, try to get some clearance RF-82ii towers before they're gone. If you're good with bookshelf models, go for the RP-160M. If you're okay with used, like me, you can check your local Craigslist for older Reference towers such as RF-3 or RF-35. And, no, you don't need to worry about underpowering your speakers with that Onkyo.

  19. Big thank you to everyone on this site. I've been a member less than one day and have found everything I need to get my Epic CF-2's back in top shape. Jjptkd has hooked me up with a tweeter and gave me Bob Crites info whom I called today and got everything lined up to ship him my crossovers so he can get them back in top shape. I've always been a huge audio fan. Since Dark Side of The Moon and Alan Parsons Project Turn of a Friebdly card were released my search began to find a system that would give me a remarkable listening experience. My search finally ended when I added the Epic 2's to my setup in 1996. Looking forward to getting it back in shape and joining in the discussions on this site..

  22. Morning Gang 34 here an hour ago. Warming up for Rain later today. Coffee flowin, trying to talk some in the household to fetch me a Donut. MIG is working, been ordering replacement/upgrade parts everyday. Miller is Quality, even at 28 years old, 75% of the electronics look new. Running flux cored wire for welding, so NO Argon as of yet. @$90 Bucks to fill the cylinder, kind of want to replace all questionable parts first. Coffee and Anna's Ginger cookies. < in lieu of Donut.

  23. That sounds a lot like tinnitus or acoustic shock. I'd be very careful when playing music to select titles that aren't strident and make sure that the loudness is well below 85 dBC at all times. You can also put a "house curve" on your setup using your AVR to decrease the high frequencies by a dB or two (or three) at 10 kHz. Silence is also golden, as is wearing ear protection wherever and whenever possible (no kidding). Chris

  26. We are proud to announce the upcoming release of the 70th Anniversary Limited-edition La Scala and Cornwall speakers! In celebration of Klipsch’s 70th anniversary, exclusive limited-edition La Scala® & Cornwall ® speakers are being manufactured in exotic Australian Walnut wood veneer. Australian Walnut (also known as Queensland Walnut) is grown in the coastal tablelands of North Queensland, Australia. The species varies in color, but is usually a pale-golden hue highly contrasted with darker streaks of chocolate brown, grey, black or even pink. Australian Walnut grain is moderately close and even, and sometimes wavy, resulting in a wide variety of figure effects. Only 70 pairs of each model will be made. MSRP: $14,000/pr (La Scala) & $6,000/pr (Cornwall) We will present more information here very soon. These are set to begin shipping in October. Stay tuned for more information!

  29. 2011 F-150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost and I'm running a 93 octane tune on it. Love the truck. 80,000 miles so far. I bought it used about a year and a half ago. I hate getting in and out of cars so for me, unless something crazy happens, a truck will always be my daily driver. I want a diesel truck, but don't tow often enough or heavy enough to warrant that. But it doesn't mean I can't dream about it!

  32. Oh man, Justus, you're above my pay grade here. Most of us here have anecdotal stories about temporary hearing loss/pain, but your ears have been hurting for weeks now. My common sense says if you get some relief at night then the condition is probably not permanent, but I'm just a guy on the internet, guessing. May I suggest you go see a professional, probably ASAP? Edit: In the meantime I strongly suggest you don't do more harm. Try some over-the-ear ear protection. I would think even OTE headphones would work. I don't think that's a bad idea to protect you from pain. Pain is God's way of saying "something's wrong."

  35. Agree on the fireworks. I bet the loud percussive BANGS indoors compressed your eardrums. It's not that the fireworks were not that loud, it's just that when the air was compressed it didn't have anywhere to go. I wouldn't change anything on your speakers. I would suggest you give your ears a rest by not playing anything for a few days. I bet your ears will clear themselves with a little rest.

  36. this is just the beginning we will almost always get 3 - 5 day a winter in Calgary colder than minus 30 not counting the wind chill, thank god it is so very dry here so you can layer up and dress warmly enough to deal with it. got to watch for wind and exposed skin. we probably get a couple of weeks between minus 25 and minus 29C each year.

  38. Happy hump day, on a day that will live in infamy. On Thursday I fly to DC to help my older son move back to Michigan. He decided police work is not what he wants to do with his life. My immediate reaction is relief that he will no longer be in the stressful position of instantaneously having to decide whether to shoot or be shot. At the same time, he is the type of thoughtful compassionate individual police forces need to displace the bullies with badges, and guns, that make it hard for good officers to serve and protect.

  40. Morning all.....busy weekend here in NE Florida...beautiful weather led to some nice outings and a little Klipsch refurb work Took the time to take the RP-5's out of the shed and did some work on them. Got the one cabinet apart, sanded, painted and resealed. Fired them up last night (one still has a bad amp that will go to the shop this week to be rebuilt) but MAN.....these things sound GOOD....even with only one of the 12's playing it sounded great. Huge WAF going on with being able to take the RSW-12 out of the living room now....she's pretty happy....and we all know that makes things much more easy around the house. Looks like the RB-5's and RSW-12 may make it to the Man Shed for 2.1 duty.....can't say I'm too unhappy about that Decided that I'll probably never use the Quintet and Quintet SL sets that I have stored in the shed....those may need to be let go of.....

  41. Pride in the fact you are not a coffee drinker? Why? Coffee has been shown to benefit health in many studies. It's definitely not bad for you (in moderation of course). What IS bad for you is drinking coffee from a Keurig. That's not real coffee, that's old, stale grounds that produces mildly flavored water that comes from pods that are an environmental nightmare. JMHO, of course..... Get some good whole beans from a local roaster, grind them at home, and use a simple pour-over method. If you are not used to the caffeine kick, you might start with half regular and half decaf beans. You don't have to get as technical as these folks, but here's a link to show you the basics... Enjoy. https://www.stumptowncoffee.com/blog/how-to-perfect-pour-over

  42. Good Sunday Morning gang New MIG maintenance all day sat, Fan replaced Dragged it out the Mancave and fired it up, play with heat/speed, works well Ordered up a whole bunch of American Made, Thomas/Betts sta-con spade connectors, because every dam one is oxidized/rusted and/or falling off Untill i know this critter is going to last, i decided NO Argon, instead, Running w/Flux core wire so i did not buy gas this time around. Dropped the Bench Top TIG idea(s) till next year. Redesigned my RV Antenna project to use steel, so welding will get it done. Coffee-a-flowin, cleaning up the mess in Da-Cave, on to the Antenna project.

  43. First cup of Cameron french roast down. This is a good coffee. Waiting on breakfast pizza to finish in the oven. I didnt think it would take a hour and half, at least i know for next time. The Beatles are playing, snow is on the ground, the tree is going up. My kind of winter day. I cant wait until i am done with school so i can enjoy these more often and not stress about school, one more year. Anyways take care everyone and have a wonderful day.

  44. I have a good toaster. I'd like to have a pair of 70th Anniversary Khorns, but the Anniversary LaScala will do. Tigerman, that's great that you do that. 30 degrees, hope you don't have to ride far to the event today. I don't do the fresh grind, but... unless the velocity changes, I don't see how it makes the inconsistency. What else could be a variable - beans size, type, amount, phase of the moon, mood? Is it both flavor and color that's changing? Your kitchen appliances might be all rebelling. Is your toaster consistent?

  46. No such thing. We all started from somewhere less than our current setup. List your budget and others will help spend your money on an amp. You have got yourself some nice speakers. Share your setup, room size, distance from the speakers and these guys will help you get the most out of them. Welcome!
