  1. Mr. Crites offers upgrades in keeping with PWK designs. If you want to upgrade / freshen your networks and have the original PWK sound, Bob is second to none.

  4. This is my feeling 100% Not to mention they may be off but they are only off by one number. After everything I went through getting these in the house and all that and the fact that I got them in without getting a scratch on them I'm not risking moving them and damaging them especially since we don't even know where the matching one is at this point. like others have mentioned probably sitting in someones house.

  10. Yeah, I don't know. I've personally dealt with Bob Crites over a dozen times and have asked him countless questions and he has always been very quick to get back to me every time. He sells excellent products and his shipping and turn around time for repair work is lightning fast, not sure what more you could ask for?

  11. Enjoy the birth of your daughter. No amount of describing can fully convey the positive change that will take place in your life and your wife's life by the birth of your daughter. BTW, January 7th is Christmas in the Russian and Greek Orthodox churches. It also happens to be my farther's birthday and a niece's birthday.

  13. I did at one time (around 2004 or 2005) have an agreement with Klipsch to resell their parts similar to what Simply Speakers is doing. That went good for awhile but someone high up at Klipsch objected because he found out I was selling parts on the internet. So, they cancelled the deal they had with me. That bothered me at first, but probably was a good thing for me. That caused me to start developing my own parts to use as replacement parts for Klipsch speakers.

  16. Now this is the post that needs to be heard. Shows what is available per Roy Delgado's offered setups and what people have done with it. I would include that there is NO passive available from Klipsch. There are active speaker processor recommended settings from ROY in more than one two-way setups and there are passives available from 3rd parties based on Roy's design of passive schematic. Using drivers other than K-69-A, B&C DE75, and TAD TD-4002 in a 2 way setup is not something Roy has shared "settings" with us. He did demo the BMS coaxial driver in 2 way in our presence....but unfortunately, I've never seen those "active settings" published. I actually liked what I heard. There is no Roy passive schematic or loudspeaker processor settings for ANY 3-way setup. MikeTN. ? Can this post be put in as a sticky? If something like this is already there....I apologize. When this question comes up.......we should automatically first redirect a newcomer to a post like the above. Then support the member with f/u questions. jc

  22. Mookie, great to have your daughter for the holidays. There's nothing in the world that's better than that. Our daughter was in North Carolina for a couple years and it was tough. She's an hour and a half away now and we're loving it.

  27. Built by Mr. Crites. I unscrewed the components and pulled them off the board as one. Veneered the stock Cedar boards in Tigerwood, lacquered them and screwed everything back on. Wanted to match the wood to a La Scala project I was working on. Replaced the tweeter cap with the new Jantzen Alumen Z-CAP made for tweeters and mids in passive networks. See the website if you like. The boards don't make them sound any better of course but they look nice and are unique. The Jantzen caps were $75.00 for the pair. They are new with very few hours on them but have made a nice change in the high end. The A/4500's are $230.00 a pair new. I will leave in the Jantzen caps and toss in the Sonicaps it came with. $180.00 including shipping and PayPal fees.

  28. Seems my original guy is now gone, seperated from the owner of the office, his now former wife. New chick gets in my face and every dam tooth she has an issue with. So what the hell has this punk been doing in my mouth for the last three years? No ONE can anser that!> so this jerk-weed fleeced my insurance and took cash besides, for little to nothing to show for work preformed! That ladies and gents is an azzhole. NOW, i have another dentist i pay on the side just to CONFIRM the work they say needs to be done, and it aint much. Second opinion is priceless. lesson learned. Yanking the worthless molars is the best thing going, hell the Navy Dentist yanked mine before Nam. NOTE: one molar has Came/Grown back TWICE!!!, only to be yanked AGAIN!!! My Molars are like Hitlery, they just wont go away.

  29. I've never heard Heresey's but I have had much experience with la Scala's and before that I had (well still do) chorus's and even going from the Chorus to the La Scala I can tell you the sound stage is MUCH larger. If your not familiar with what we mean by soundstage the best way to describe it is in my opinion the soundstage of a La Scala and K-horn is pretty much like your at a concert. It's just so engulfing and the vocals are so in your face. When I first heard the La Scala's and played a live performance just as soon as the crowd start's cheering it honestly takes your breath away. It literally feels like your in the middle of the arena then when they start singing it's enough to bring tears to your eyes. When PWK set out to bring the experience of a live performance into your living room with the K-horn's and La Scala's he succeeded in a BIG way! If you looking to upgrade from Heresy's to La Scala's I can tell you, you will be in for a huge treat they are definitely some of my favorite speakers!

  32. I've found that the buying options that are available for the Jubilee are just like those for the behind-the-screen cinema version of the Jubilee (3-way) and interestingly, this seems to confuse typical home consumers. It shouldn't. You can think of the separate crossover approach just like buying amplifiers: most audiophiles don't buy self-powered loudspeakers but rather choose their own amplifiers, preamps, and digital/analog source components separately. It's no different here. When you get to the performance levels represented by the Klipsch Jubilee, I find that most "audiophile consumers" that have been trading up over the years have fairly specific ideas for what they want and intend to use in their setups. These people are typically much less interested in "turnkey" solutions. For higher performance home theater folks and others fairly new to the subject area of buying of high performance audio, having a cheat sheet of options--like the one that's being created here--is useful for making buying decisions. Turnkey solutions are less common. There is more than one choice for compression drivers for the Jubilee, especially when considering third-party sources for better performance. Better drivers sound different. There is more than one choice of (third party) crossovers, passive or active. Better crossovers sound a little different. There is even a choice for bass bins and mid-bass modules for those willing to go even larger (as both Travis and Mark have alluded to, among others). Bigger bass and mid-bass bins sound different--in either direct radiating or horn-loaded configurations. This really shouldn't upset anyone--but it does require a little information and perhaps a little time listening to the differences, which is something that is difficult for those not nearby to a cinema having all types of loudspeaker configurations on site (and a cinema owner or company representative willing to assist in general public auditioning), or Klipsch's cinema products manufacturing facility in Hope, Arkansas to provide that opportunity to listen. 37. That emblem is way out of place. Were you able to put it back where it goes??? It probably held on with sticky tape and just let loose and slid down. Maybe when they slid the plastic bag over it. If the wood grain looks good to you Aaron I would sit back and enjoy. You got 2 undamaged speakers .....Just Be Happy....lol. Can you post pic of both fronts the way that grain is I think it matched pretty good no matter how you put it. What you powering those babies with ??

  40. I imagine only OneCall knows this, they probably received multiple pairs then grabbed the wrong two, like if you had serial numbers 1-4, they put them in a pile then grabbed 1 and 3, then 2 and 4.
