It wouldn't, that's how we always honor you. Seems appropriate. We just normally move the crowd away from the fire though for obvious reasons.3 points

Hi Folks, I'm moving cross country and have to sell my beloved SVS PB12-Ultra/2 Subwoofer. It is in a non smoking home with no kids. I have babied it over the last 5 years of my ownership. I purchased it with a non functioning amp in 2012. I purchased a new 1000W Bash amplifier directly from SVS for $400 7/17/2012 and it has a 5 year warranty from SVS. I have the receipt for your reference. The sub is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. It is a heavy sub at 200lbs so I'm not interested in shipping it anywhere. I can meetup within 100 miles of the Tampa Florida area or audition it in Parrish, FL. It is a MONSTER sub and will go down to sub 16hz flawlessly. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I'm asking for $650. You can not touch the performance of this sub at this price point. I will follow up with pics shortly. SVS PB12-Ultra/2 Specifications · Twin TV-12 "Ultra" woofers built by TC-Sounds... I feel honored, I don't hear that very often, especially from my family. You do a few crazy things and they think your crazy all the time.2 points

One day... one day I will make it down there as well. But in the young kid stage of life, mine consists of a great deal of cat herding in the rain! Happy Hump Day Everyone!2 points

Elliott, is there a chance these are coming to Massachusetts? I noticed you have a Massachusetts area code. If so, I may need to visit.2 points

The large resistors are metal oxide power resistors. I use that type in the p/s, for filament dropping, and on the cathode of the output tube. Sure- here's a picture of part of the shop2 points

Totally understand. While San Francisco is on the other side of the bay from my home turf, i’m somewhat familiar with the place. You never hear locals calling it Frisco -- they simply refer to it as “The City.”2 points

So what have we have learned about this? To give an example.....lets say a forum member....I know lets use Carl and we were to say Carl boo coo or beau-coup dinky dow we would be saying that Carl is a lot whacko. So when you see Carl at the Pilgrimage be sure and say Carl boo-coo dinky dow, He will know he is special2 points

Jimbo told me Carl eats a whole cabbage for breakfast each day so I believe you Rich. If I show up it will be with the understanding that he will wear a plastic body suit cinched at the neck.1 point

I have not tried defeating Audessey yet, just no time to sit down and play more and listen to music. But when the reference is made that people boost up the bass after running Audessey, are they boosting it at the subwoofer, or within the Marantz (preamp) itself?1 point

Indeed, the serial numbers are most important, here. The photos are of too poor quality to determine true color or port length.1 point

Easy enough to get shipping quotes by calling around to the MANY independent shipping companies... you need to figure out total pieces and weights. The weight for each is easy 175lbs each plus 25-30 for the pallets. You would be well advised to put each speaker on its own pallet instead of trying to fit two on an oversized pallet, so that's three pallets. Whatever you do, don't use FedEx or ups... unless it's their freight division. Three pallets @ 225-250 lbs each. I think all the shippers, at this palletized point, will do a decent job of not making sure they are stacked or gouged... I've many things this way including palletized motorcycles and have never gotten damages... not the same can be said for ups or FedEx.1 point
