Sold. I beat out some guy from CA. Listening impressions incomplete because of a hurriedly cobbled crossover in addition to a plate amp, but confirming all drivers work. I will design both a passive and an active network using a Yamaha 2060. I'll also add a DaveA LMAHL super tweeter. Only then will I judge the sound. I've always wanted a "salad bowl" and a STRAIGHT AXIS Midbass horn. I may sell off the Seismic Sub, as I have too many subs already, but it's too soon to tell. 107 db/W sensitivity is hard to beat. He had Conrad Johnson tube amps so even though the balance was off, he had them in a large quiet room and they were good enough, even if incomplete.7 points

Sold Captain found bought these a few blocks from my house. I went and checked them out and they made the deal and I’ve been holding onto them for Captain, but as most of us know that Captains days came to an end . Very sad days. I’m trying to help his wife sell them, they are still here in Florida at my house. I will be driving up to the east side of tenn this weekend. I can drop them off along the way on 95. Or I can ship them to the new owner. Only asking 600 so she can get back what they have in them. PM me and let’s get this deal done Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Klipsch and a cat. Neither are mine, by the way. What I find curious is the serious toe in angle and the distance between them. Are they too far apart?3 points

These are amazing sounding speakers. Two 10” woofers with Klipsch’s classic horn. These speakers are great for Home Theater and two channel listening. No need for a subwoofer. Also, these are very efficient don’t need a lot of power to get really loud. If you know about Klipsch speakers you know this is a good deal. They sell on eBay for $700 - $800. They are in excellent shape with no scratches. They are large speakers weighing about 70 lbs. I WILL NOT SHIP. Must be picked up. Freq. 34 hz to 20,000 kHz. I would consider trades of Klipsch KG 4’s or some of equivalent value. No low ballers. These have been braced and new capacitors installed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Anything with big soundscapes. Lately I've been spinning Dave Gilmour live at Pompeii 2016 a lot. But I love some Devin Townsend, particularly live performances. Early Dream Theater, before they started self-producing. Also, whoever said men can't sing anymore is full of it. Not looking hard enough, man.2 points

So, McCullough said: “There's only one doctor whose face is on TV now. One. Not a panel. (As) doctors, we always work in groups, we always have different opinions. There's not a single media doctor on TV who's ever treated a COVID patient. Not a single one. There's not a single person in the White House Task Force who has ever treated a patient,” he said. “Why don’t we do something bold. Why don’t we put together a panel of doctors that have actually treated outpatients of COVID-19, and get them together for a meeting. And why don’t we exchange ideas, and why don’t we say how we can finish the pandemic strongly.” Perhaps some of the forum pedants can explain what is wrong with this. In the medical field there are usually multiple ways to deal with illness. There is no secret about the suppression of points of view which do not fit a particular agenda. Do some research about studies which turned out to be written by ghost writers with no real credentials to have an idea about our being manipulated. Even the so called fact checkers who “debunk” misinformation often have no medical training (research that as well). To me, the problem is that we are considered too stupid to read various opinions and draw a conclusion which best suits our needs. I certainly don’t need someone like Zuckerberg or CNN to tell me what I need to believe. Maynard2 points

here are the internals of the SH50-------triangular cabinet ----and the SH96 rectangular cabinet - -I guess a square cabinet is possible as well , if the woofers are placed closer-2 points

Sorry about the passing of your grandfather. Glad to hear you are keeping and wanting to take good care of what you inherited! With the bluetooth connection, just to be on the safe side, I would turn the volume down all the way on your phone before you start listening, then gradually raise it to the volume level you want to listen at. As long as you're not hearing any distortion you won't be damaging anything.1 point

@ClaudeJ1 if the pictures I saw of your "listening zone" a couple years ago are a clue..... Let me know this autumn if you need to thin the herd any, sure I'll have some kind of a hauler by then! Congrats are in order, those are showpieces even compared to those audacious horn speakers from NY!1 point

Off topic: @The Green Hornet, what is the story behind your avatar. I actually had a bottle opener that had that same four eyed dude. Never figured out the meaning. On topic: I have small tapped horns that seem to play well with my Belles. Adds to the bottom end nicely. I have only heard one true horn sub and that was a THTLP that belongs to @codewritinfool It was very nice. Filled in the lower octaves with authority and never drew unwanted attention to itself like many DR subs that I have heard tend to do.1 point
