Thanks for the input. After all considerations, and resetting everything, the issue remains. I think the cheapest solution will be to replace the needle.

@MicroMara; how would you elaborate the differences between ordinary power cable that usually comes with newly purchased devices and the power cables that are sold separately? What are benefits when buying a separate power cable in general? Can you share your thoughts about that?

Need some quick opinions on what's going on with my pickup needle. This needle was bought in 2020 for my vintage Onkyo CP1000A in order to bring it back to life. When I put it down, it skids one or two centimeters toward the center (scratch!) and then it starts playing with lots of distortions and jumps. Can't see anything wrong with it, though. My guess is it is broken and needs replacement, right?

you could wire each set of dual 6 inch woofers into 2 Channels of a low wattage stereo amp or simply use up a multichannel receiver -but what is certain is that 6 inch active woofers in a bass reflex enclosure will produce more bass than an open extension of a doghouse with twin ports -

Just tossed that in because OSU dropped completely OUT of the top 10 after their loss to Oregon. Think they were rated 3 or 4 then. Simple. I'm good with a one loss regular season but there's a lot of ball left and some tough games coming up. It will all sort.

You could always cover the tops with cloth or doily type thing. Potted plants that require lots of water work well too so I'm told. 🙃
