Since I'm spending a couple of hours a day on the highway this week, I changed out what I had in the thing. Don't know what to call it yet. Definitely not a car, too small to call a SUV. Crossover? meh? think that's how it is classified but just sounds odd to me. So It's the Thing for now, yeah I know the VW Thing that was pretty cool... The ones pulled over to the right are what's in the console for the Panasonic supposed 410 watts into very inefficient speakers. It won't crank but I can enjoy it halfway loud in there! Mostly hard "marching" music so to speak. Catching flack from "family" for what I'm doing... but where have those two been for two years come 7-1-23. Nowhere for me, I'm mobile and I'm "Movin' On"!3 points

Hey George! This was the big hit off of it, kind of slow but not exactly soft or mellow. Not sure if it was the lp producer or the band like that... but Extreme was an excellent choice for their name If you listen to the whole release! Going "dark" for a while very soon. Will check in on the phone, I know from past experience without internet and wifi that twenty dollars more for unlimited is a lot cheaper than $10 GB until 60GB then it's free... `cause that's fifty more bucks! And it comes up quickly when you are used to being on free wifi.2 points

It’s Voxx International, and they approved the transfer, by Klipsch, of the land, building, artifacts and archives to the Museum, an Arkansas non-profit and recognized 501(c)(3) entity. It has an independent board of trustees, nearly every member personally knew PWK. The mission, support STEaM through the teachings and examples of PWK. Voxx’s wholly owned subsidiary, Klipsch, continues to support the Museum every year, without fail, in substantial amounts, in numerous ways. Other legends in audio, Fisher, Marantz, AR, Bose, Lansing/JBL, I’m sure do the same . . . Wait, none of them have museums. To our knowledge, the Museum in Hope is the only museum in the US dedicated to consumer audio, particularly the dawn of hi-fi. NMSU has a museum dedicated to PWK, and is open to the public once per year (costs and other shortages caused a pull back). For a great explanation of why Klipsch made this donation back in 2016, with launch in Spring of 2017, see the interview of Klipsch President and CEO, Paul Jacobs on our YouTube channel. It requires a joint effort, local community/City of Hope, major benefactors like Klipsch, but most importantly, members, because they “get it” -what PWK had to teach and consider it to be a national treasurer worth preserving. Thank you for the question. As with any 501(c)(3) all of our tax returns are on line and in the open. Thank you for the question. Travis2 points

Audiovoxx has nothing to do with the museum. We are nonprofit separate organization. But audiovoxx employees and Klipsch employees do support the museum.2 points

@dtel It's about time you surfaced my friend! Yea, I get it though. I think it's a partial solution to what kids crave today when their out raisin heck somewhere. Campin around a fire at night, poolside or wherever they can crank it up til it pukes. lol The price point comes into play but so many people are getting turned ON to Klipsch I think they'll sell well. Kids are just like we were "livin the dream." Bluetooth? I've got it on my stinkin electric toothbrush. Why? Yea, it's crazy for sure out there today but those kids can sure work the angles usin it. It'll sell and serve their purpose while we're sittin here talkin about what cables we should buy. 😂2 points

roasted is the only way to prepare sweet corn. easier and better tasting. concentrates the sugar/s. I feel the inclination to comment on a fire burning near here [100 miles away] ... The Western Hemp Fire. I'll just let y'all "rip" on this one LOL2 points

Could be handy, but no horns, sounds crazy to me. Or is it part of the "splash proof stuff? I'm just old fashion, I would gladly give up the lights for a horn, but I am just old and like horns. But do hope it sells like crazy.2 points

I wouldn't make a judgement of someones personal choice per say . But I'm older and I just can't wrap my head around it .2 points

our humidity is on the rise... dew point is up to 40`. R/H is still 10 or 11%. It cooled down... marginally. Still warm. It made 100` here. Tucson is somewhat warmer....105` right now. Just been hiding indoors. I'll go out when the sun gets lower. Temp doesn't drop immediately... but, none of that "in the sun" heat.2 points

My retirement gift to myself. 2 years ago I dropped a deposit to get on a waiting list. My build finally came-up at the end of April 2023. As of last week 6/23/23 this is where it's at, and it's starting to look like a boat. Should be done on or before mid July. Static draft is 5" and will jump up in just 10", fully loaded. Yammyhaha with TRP lower unit.... 4wheeldrive for the shallow water. Al is getting powerder coated and bimini top is being fab'ed.2 points

I believe they sold for $18K a pair new. The forte IV version is more than double the price of a normal pair.1 point

Five feet of new LPs @Dave1291 ? Dang that's a third of my newly (since I saw them last) expanded collection! Still kind of hot down here but low humidity high 50s%. What Willie gets way out west & he calls low humidity I doubt I've experienced a dozen times in my life over on this side!1 point

She was simply the best. Better than all the rest. She left a good job in the city, working for the man every night and day. She was a private dancer, where love had nothing to do with it!1 point

I agree. I remember when I bought my Forte 2 speakers. I went to buy a pair of Heresys. My friend had a pair and I loved them. I was curious about other Klipsch speakers. After listening to the heresys first he put on the Forte 2s. My wife and I looked at each and said we have to have those. I still just love the sound of those things.1 point

We had a great time in Hope! Thanks so much to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen. It was great to see folks we hadn't seen in years, and to also make some new friends. I decided it was time I got my own profile here since I have loved Klipsch for almost 50 years! The very first time I heard the Khorns I was at my boyfriends house and Stairway to Heaven was playing on an LP. His Dad was an avid music lover and had a top of the line system. I was totally blown away! I wound up marrying that boyfriend (Rigma) and we have been collecting Klipsch from the very beginning. I've never really understood the term WAF as it sure as heck does not apply to me! I look forward to being a part of the group. Becky (MZKITTY)1 point
