The flooding is terrible.  My wife spent time last night gathering up things to donate to the victims.  The flooding is right up the road from us.  They even closed a stretch of Interstate 10 at the Louisiana border due to the flooding.  I've never seen that happen outside of a hurricane.

More bad news this morning.  The local Humane Society had a fire that originated at one of their dryers from an excessive build up of lint.  It took fire fighters 3 hours to put it out and killed 74 dogs.  I gave mine an extra hug this morning before I left for work.

On the bright side, it's just today and tomorrow to go and the weekend will be upon us once again.

Mark, send me a couple brake jobs you gravy sucker!

That's terrible about the dogs dying in a fire.

You know it's time for new glasses when you pop a hun in the quarter slot machine, play two lines, pull twice and the credits are gone. It was $25.00 not $0.25

The real trick is to visit a casino, snuffle down the good cheap food and leave without risking a penny of the family fortune gaming.  ;)

The plastic top and bottom (or sides if oriented that way) can be replaced.  Radiator shops can normally get the replacement ends and they have a machine to crimp them on with new seals.  I've never seen one repaired.

Ok never mind, I thought there was some kind of glue, I didn't know they crimped them. I had to replace the radiator in my Chevy truck a while back, I was surprised it was only $100, would have thought more.

I'm gonna try welding a plastic radiator top. Anybody here know if that can be done?

Try melting a zip tie into the crack or hole with a soldering iron or gun.

You need to melt the zip tie and the plastic radiator material together carefully to properly seal the leak.

Drain the radiator fluid below the leak beforehand.

No guarantee it will work for sure but i have had good luck using this method in the past.

If you still have problems after the leaking tank will need to be replaced or just pick up a new radiator.

i'm gonna change the sign in front of the shop to read  "BOB EVANS"

Had a bunch of people over as we were all leaving to get on the ship and one of them (Leon) makes great biscuits and gravy, so his job was to make it both mornings before we left. I was shocked how easy it was to make those biscuits, just two ingredients, buttermilk and self rising flour, and cooked in cast iron pans.

I have been making biscuits for a long time but his is MUCH better than mine so now I copied his way and it works great.

He puts a few spoons of oil in a cast iron pan, shapes the dough into about 1 1/2" balls and just sets them in the pan until it's full all the way around, bakes at 400 until done in the middle, about 25-30 minutes. Couldn't be easier, they come out much lighter and fluffier than my old cheating Bisquick way.

The bad part is i am now trying to loose some weight and shouldn't be eating them, I really miss them. :(

I did that already, then lost 50 pounds, bought smaller clothes, gained 25 pounds back, and really don't want the other 25 pounds back, but it's hard to do.  :(

I didn't watch that as close but he just browned a bunch of sausage breaking it up well and put in a separate bowl. He kept some of the oil and added a little flour and slightly browned it (roux), added milk and cooked it down just a little and added the sausage back in. Not sure if he added additional flour but I don't think he did.

The grave was really good but how could it not be with enough sausage in it.
