    • So awesome.  I used a miniDSP 2x4HD to tune my THTs and to blend them with my Heresys and the transition between them is incredible.  Perfectly crossed over and the THTs provide low end that will levitate you off the couch if you want.
    • I finally found a store in the next county that had the whole Sumatra beans I normally use for coffee. I’ve been out since the first week of October after Helene came through. It’s sounding as though it will be another six months or so before they have the grocery store down the street from my house rebuilt and ready to open.   I’ve been in the studio with band number one recording the bass tracks for some songs we are going to use for some promotional videos.   band number two is a rockabilly act and we have a gig opening a show on Black Friday down at Burger Bar(no burgers all bar) in Asheville. It should be a good way to wake people up from their turkey induced coma.
    • That’s an Interesting review , thanks  . I look forward to hearing a set someday. like you , I  like to listen  to a speaker very thoroughly when evaluating , a few weeks or so . In that amount of time , I’ll understand the pros and cons .🤓
    • Roy's original intention was DSP only.  However, others thought it might hurt sales to require tramping.  So, Roy did passive networks as well.   However, in my opinion, using the new La Scala with the passive networks would be a colossal mistake.  The passive and active configurations don't even sound like the same speakers.  The triamp DSP configuration is far better sounding.  It's not even close.  I imagine this will be the same with the new Klipschorn.
    • I guess my The One is different since the volume control on The One itself is independent from the Bluetooth volume on my phone so I’m able to use both to fine tune the volume.
    • Our only hope is a firmware update I guess
    • You need to change the capacitor value too. Also, great for the K-77, not so great for the B&C drivers which exhibit in-network rising response.    Never any acoustic plots anymore from most people - just claims without evidence.
    • Ohw really??.  I thought that the AL6 was active only.
    • If there's interest, I'd be happy to write a more detailed comparison of the UJ vs. AL5. But I’ll only do so once I have the UJ hooked up again, as I’m also curious to see how I experience them then.   To give a brief response: Keep in mind that I always need a bit more time to notice differences. And that the UJ, after adjustments to the setup, settings, etc., really started to sound different (in a positive way). My first impression when hearing the AL5 play again was a smaller sound and a lower soundstage and of course less bass.  However, tonally, I found the AL5 very similar to the UJ. It was slightly less refined but not a huge difference. Only after listening to more tracks could I better distinguish the differences, and they turned out to be more significant and noticeable than my initial impression when I first heard the AL5 again. In terms of performance, the UJ is better in every aspect. The music feels richer, with more micro-detail, fuller, and the highs seem to extend further and are more detailed. The UJ sound a bit more open compared to the AL5.  There's more energy in the music, more impact with drums, piano etc. Especially during drum solos, which I’m quite familiar with on the UJ, the AL5 sounded great, but the UJ still delivered them a notch better—more dynamic and more realistic. Female vocals sound even more magical on the UJ than on the AL5. Naturally, the sound on the UJ is also larger. The UJ delivers more slam—a kind of slam you feel more in your body than you actually hear.   And yet... the AL5 has its own charm. Perhaps because the sound is less imposing and grand, it becomes easier to process—more intimate. And what I mentioned before, I now notice again. It’s not that the AL5 provides a more live feel, as the UJ does this too, but sometimes the AL5 makes instruments feel more tangible. Slightly more 3D. I can’t say whether this is due to the speaker or the acoustics. Because I’m convinced the UJ will improve significantly in terms of imaging once I address the room acoustics as well.   Well, it turned out to be more words than I originally intended 😄
    • Hello. I came across your thread on the klipsch 48 power supply issue and purchased the power supply you recommended for the repair. I was wondering if you could tell me in which order the the three small white wires go into the terminals on the new board as I can't tell in picture you posted. One has red x's one a red stripe and the other just writing on it. Thanks!
