  1. Up prematurely! Hate to tell her, that is a present. Ribs sound good! Enjoy ! Hard to remember but, thinking I was not really dwelling on the draft in those days. Preoccupied with romance at times, music, and extracurricular activities. Not necessarily in that order! Thanks Tarheel for making a thread where we can all come and relax and let our hair down. Nothing like uncontroversial discussion where we can speak our minds without taking offense. A place where likes can come, regardless, or in spite of what is said by me. Thanks for being gentle with me here. After all, I am a senior citizen. they say.

  4. Men and vacuum machines. Yep I am considering a new one with glass canister and HEPA filter to help with Jakes hair and dander. My doctor said he bought a Shark vac and it really helped. As for the draft.......a local draft board member called me and said that if I would go 1A for six months I would get a 2S (student deferment). She said that I was probably safe with my draft number in the 160s. She was right.... Time for the second cup. Cheers Gents

  5. Morning gang, drop my dam coffee canister losing about 1/2 lb of ground coffee. Now need to look for a new canister to store my coffee in. I was up till 3 am, went to a local heavy metal show. The first act stole the show. Well off to the grocery store.

  6. Same scenario for me! I had a 2S for about 2 years followed by a high lottery number. Times have changed. Now I have a son-in-law who volunteered and has 2 tours in the middle East under his belt. Proud of him. Gonna take advantage of our last warm day for a while and smoke some ribs. Cup #2 first. Have a great Sunday everyone.

  8. Ddduuuddeerrr mannng. How many times do you have to drop and break things after a head banger show to learn your lesson? The whole body vibrating to the beat, including the hands and fingers, it's hard to hang onto even the steering wheel....The first act stole the show? Were they that good or did the sound engineer forget to apply the opening act EQ? No they were that good.

  10. yea me two....So back to this vacuum thing....we got a new Dyson Animal Compete a few weeks ago. Our old Dyson's handle and canister broke, it's still can be used so we took it to the shop. My wife uses it for the office. The old Dyson is about 9 years old and has done a good job for us. So we went with the Dyson again. Well the vacuum duties are like this......our two daughters take care of the house while me and the wife are at the shop. They do a good job, but when we "really get down" with the cleaning me and the wife jump in. That's where I come in.......me and that Dyson ....."become one".......that Army training comes back in......attention to detail......I will dismantle stuff to clean it........and when it come to my stereo NOBODY touches it. Back to the house garage again, cleaning out more junk....... Take care all. Mark :-)

  14. Wakejunkie and his cousin were down visiting and tonight we rented Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise. Great movie and it had more LFE throughout the ENTIRE movie than I have ever heard. The RSW15's were shaking my entire home. I can't wait to hear Wake's dual 18's in an IB configuration. He said it pressurized the room enough to move his hair.

  19. Not so fast Speedy Gonzalez!Wasn't a BLOW Out, nor Texas TECH. Tech, A and M, all those Texas schools sound the same to this easterner. I'm still new to watching Big 12 teams and having A&M go the SEC didn't help me. All I know is I'm not very fond of The Texas Longhorns right now. Yeah, the Longhorns sure kicked the sh1t outa Marshall.

  33. Funny you mention vacuums. My son went to vacuum this morning and nothing. Dang belt broke again, I think its time for new one. Speaking of new, I think my coffee maker is on the fritz. My coffee hasn't been that hot or that tasty. It may need to be cleaned. Where is Marks directions for cleaning coffee makers. Maybe that is in order this morning. Well it sounds like there has been a lot going on around here. I have been a little too busy to sit and read through everything. Sounds like everyone is doing good. Minermark had some sort of food poising, hopefully his wife learns to make their own tacos for taco Tuesday.. Yes Tuesday is Veterans Day, before I forget I want to thank all of you Vets out there for your time in the service. Both my grandfathers and uncles were in. A call is in order to my uncle on Tuesday. Well time to get back at it, so much to do not enough time for music . Maybe later.

  40. I called customer service and they said that this is a Demo Store Unit and that's the way its intended to work. Im guessing it just needs to be flashed the normal unit but I that might be hard to find. One way Im thinking to try is to open it up and try to by bypass the IC that controls the volume that way. That would probably make it work at 100% at all time but that OK.
