Bison out here runs $8.50Lb, kind of pricey, but once you try it, hooked is the word, burgers are outstanding and overall has very little fat content.

  8. Back in my construction days working on building 3 and 4 story town houses there was our crew, and working on the next row over there was a Hispanic crew, we set up ladders and walk boards to install windows The Hispanic crew would set a window in place, stick a 2x4 out the window and 1 of there guys would climb out stand on that 2x4 and nail the window in place Those dudes were nuts we had many discussions about the multiple ways that could go wrong

  9. I've now had an opportunity to listen to Klipsch Tapes Vol. I. The recordings are excellent. The Flem Ferguson Dixie Land Jazz is not something I will feel compelled to listen to regularly. Similarly, the several pipe organ pieces are spectacular but not as listenable (no offense Mallette) as the Joe Holland Quartet Jazz on Vol II. I'm eager to hear them though my system, as opposed to the Klipsch S4 IEMs. I need to get some bits to connect the Pono to the Wiener TDA3118 and an iNuke1000dsp in balanced mode. If I were to accidentally mix differential outputs with single-ended the results could be catastrophic for the Pono, Wiener and/or iNuke.

One of our favs. Better half unit has appointed me designated meat loaf guy. Have you ever tried a blend of ground beef and Italian sausage? Usually do 2 lbs beef and 1 lb Italian along with some good spices. Bacon strips on the top are good too.(Just need to flip oven on broil the last few minutes to crisp). Gonna be a nice day here .... for a while. Weather Witch sez we're gonna get blasted with some snow early evening and overnight. Check back later.

  14. Feels like just last week we were messing with this article. Since this went out, my dad has developed a fast growing cancerous tumor in his brain. At this point it's the size of a fist, and pressing on his brain stem. They're doing surgery on Thursday but he'll probably never be the same. He's already got extreme shakes in his right side way worse than any Parkinsons side effect I've ever seen. He's actually got Parkinsons which is why they only caught it on Friday, they thought it was complications from Parkinsons. They're having to wait so that some steroids can decrease the inflammation and swelling. He's pretty confused, like yesterday he's telling me about taking his truck sailing and a fantastic story about building thousands of 550 mph stealth helicopters. They're already saying they can't take all of it due to the size and what it's hitting. Even if he makes it through I imagine his right side is shot, will have to learn how to be a lefty. Anyway, point is, life is short, or something. Still trying to wrap my head around it all.

  17. small bite. from the beginning product by product. as i have told some close friends of mine, i had never heard of klipsch much less heard from klipsch. i just a fresh engineer guy out of college, called by klipsch to interview. i got to spend about 45 minutes with paul and in those 45 minutes, i came out of his office thoroughly convinced that the only way to design speakers was to use horns. one of the first projects i worked with paul on was the midbass horn and woofer horn of the kp-600. i know that some people ***** about the way i answer a question with a question (deano?) but that is how paul taught me. it was quite cool and frustrating working with him. but i am sure glad he pushed. paul fingerprints are all over the 600. the network that crosses over from the mids to highs was basically pauls idea. at the time i came to work for klipsch, paul was constantly playing with networks. he was really intrigued by steep slope networks. m derived. the manifold to put two 2" diap drivers together was totally designed by him. i asked him if he would design and of course, he was holding class and i never realized it. that manifold worked perfectly and provided addition up to the freq i asked. it was in these details....this projects within projects......macro details today..........and nuances tomorrow....these nuances that paul would later remind ,me that i just needed, to concentrate on the 20%......

  21. Sitting here doing home work in the craft room. This is where the Scott 222 and Heresies are, listening to Otis Redding and it sounds so good. I don't listen to this system enough. I just fixed the Thorens as one of the output wires had broken. I all so made some rca cables, as the cheap ones I was using was creating a hum. I don't get how listening to this on this system, makes me feel that life good, but it does.

  23. Good afternoon gang Things are drying out around here from our two hour rain. This is the most rain since April 2015, all ski resorts are open. Drama queen weather hacks were squashed by the events in France. Pretty cool to turn on the news and they say this is what is coming and when, it last this long and its gone. Zero Drama/Lies. R&D air supply for the Barn/Shop, have most of the stuff in stock, so it's been a fruitfull day. Checking my email, all of the sudden i have a offer for another "Mr Crow" Kit/Pieces, had to do it. I figure i can build this one "Static", she can have this new one, and my Mr Crow can come back to the cave where i can once again get on with my original ideas for him. Time for a Libation

  24. Those in the UFC are highly trained fighters who learn a host of different fighting skills and also need to develop great endurance and strength, who basically spend almost every day training and honing their skills. They have to learn to defend themselves against wrestling, boxing, Thai fighting, Ju-jitsu and Judo to name a few. The only thing they may have in common with a bar fighter is a certain inclination for combat and perhaps a desire to have a beer every once in awhile.

  25. It was lights out for Ronda...... Holly took her to technical school. Actually, most of the fights in this UFC event were great to watch, the prelims fights were great too. Ronda's not lazy at all. She's just never faced anyone as technical or with the level of experienced as Holly. It was obvious at the weight-in, Ronda was out of character. The pressure was on like never before, and she knew Holly was no chump.

  26. A nice camera, but will the initiated realize how limited this lens is?Quote The Rebel T5 is compatible with the full line of Canon EF and EF-S lenses, and is paired here with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens. This lens offers wide-angle to standard focal lengths, with a 35mm equivalency of 29-88mm. It is a versatile lens that can focus as close as 9.8". End An aperture of f/3.5 to f/5.6 is nearly a fixed aperture lens! Like in a Brownie camera! Is never suggest that to someone who wants to explore photography techniques for great interesting photos. Even beginners need the right tools. Sent from my SM-T330NU using Tapatalk Just a heads up- that is not the aperture range but the lowest aperture it will go at each zoom range. So at 18mm the max is f3.5 and at 55mm the max is f5.6. The kit lens is good to get started but it is limited and not a 'fast' lens by any means. However there are other extremely cheap lenses to explore in the Canon lineup like the well known and dirt cheap 50mm f1.8 that make the Rebel t5 a great choice. Right. And the effect is that the lens produces pictures which LOOK like they came from a fixed aperture camera. If you want to explore limiting the depth of field, bokeh, as used in so much fine photography, you will need a lens that opens to at least f/2.8. It's just my opinion. But it is informed by the numerous beginners I have coached, who bought cameras with very limited lenses and learned they could not produce blurred background, or bokeh with these lenses, and then had to buy a real camera. It's just an opinion. Sent from my SM-T330NU using Tapatalk But that is the point of buying the Rebel T5. Yeah the kit lens is not the best but you can put on any canon EF or EF-S lenses as well as numerous third party lenses from Tokina, Tamron, Rokinon etc. on the rebel and it only takes 10 seconds to swap out. He has a budget of $500 and can get the Rebel T5 for $400 and the Canon 50mm F1.8 for $100 which is extremely sharp and fast with awesome bokeh. Down the road they can get a $180 telephoto and for about $700 have a body and lens collection spanning from 18mm to 250mm and an extremely fast medium telephoto lens for low light (50mm is 80mm on a crop sensor). That is why I am suggesting a entry DLSR as there are more cheap options and its easier to upgrade camera bodies and still use your lenses.

  32. Point is, this one must NOT go political. It IS a serious matter worthy of discussion and even recommending action. I, for one, had already gone off my rocker wondering why the UN sits by and watches UN designated World Heritage Sites be vandalized. Now, I am wondering what it is going to take before the world pulls together to wipe these criminals out. When there is a fire, you don't ask the race, creed, religion, or political affiliation of the next person in the bucket brigade, you pass the bucket. Time to form a fire brigade, IMHO. Dave

They have 2 Lambos, a Porche and one or 2 other offerings. You can sign up for longer drives than the one I had, but gets pricey. Oh yeah, no coffee spilled!

  38. I just watched the fight. Looks like Ronda has been on top for too long and has gotten lazy. She was showing signs of fatigue at the 2 minute mark in the first round and Holly looked fresh throughout the whole fight. With Ronda's ground game ability I think a rematch would go in her favor, assuming she trains half as hard as Holly has. Ronda clearly made the mistake of trying to fight Holly's fight in a stand up game and chasing down a striker especially when tired isn't smart either. I think Ronda will watch the tape, see the mistakes she made and come back the winner.

  40. As far as Rousey... lover her. But 3 months between fights is just dumb (even with finishing most of her fights early). Everyone eventually gets caught, get distracted, gets caught in their own hype. I Blame Dana for pushing her (allowing her) to fight 3 months after he last win. But, she'll be back. Give here at least a 6 months or a year before her next fight. She still has skills. Heck Fedor, Urijah & Liddell all got caught, it can happen to anybody. Inevitable.

  41. Hey thanks a bunch guys. I'll skip the triode switch then. Matt, I really really appreciate your help. I noticed you eliminated the volume pot from the circuit. Not a huge deal since I have a buffer as my volume control but I thought it might be nice to leave in for channel matching? I'd love to hear your take. If I do, I assume I can just shove it in there? I'll look at the two schematics and figure out what I have already and what I would need to buy to make the proposed changes. I have no doubt it'd be worth it. Maynard, Joe, and wdecho, thanks for your input as well. I'll keep ya'll updated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  42. Nearly always, Heavier = Better pictures. Example: I can take a Canon F4.0 L 24-105mm to a basketball game and probably cover everything OK, but I can take a much heavier Canon F2.8 L 70-200mm and know I'll have it. Compromises must be made!

  43. The Pentax uses the APS-C sensor as well. I've always liked their cameras. After my first Minolta fom the '60s, I got a Pentax. I used it for years until I handed it on to my older son. Other than it using a threaded lens mount, it was a great camera. Great glass for the money. Bruce

  47. I got the duratex from Parts Express. Most kits come with a 3" textured roller with a handle which works fine for smaller projects. They also have some 4" rollers you can purchase. These will require you to pick up a small handle for it but Lowes, Home Depot etc. have them. Very easy to apply. I usually thin the paint with water. You get a different texture depending on how thick you leave the Duratex. There are good instructions and it is not complicated. PE used to have a video which is helpful if you have not used it before. The interior of the La Scala's folded horn is a little tricky. I chose to spray that part with conventional paint (added a little texture). Others who have posted here used the small 3" roller and said they had good results in that small area. I have also been told there is sprayable Duratex. It dries fairly quick so second coat can go on in about an hour. Not sure about the temperature requirements. I will have to check. Other forum members have had much more experience than I have. Hopefully they will chime in too.

  48. And he's not talking about a book about fishing You may want to think about this a little, who else could write this book, even if it were just a book about short stories. It's not like your getting any younger and no one would want some of the personal insight and the truth to be lost. It couldn't possibly be more boring than the other book.

I would buy the book should you ever decide to write one. Why not start today with what you are working on and go backwards and show us how the parts all fit together? Thank you. Best regards Moray James. that is a big elephant to eat!! you know how long i have been with klipsch? i will try small bites at a time and as i said some things i cant discuss...i will post some stuff tomorrow.
