  2. You are a good neighbor. I do the same for my elderly lady next door. It takes less than an hour and you can see how much these small things are appreciated.

  4. Almost through another Monday at work. The sun is out (yea!) and looks like good weather the rest of the week with highs in the 80's and no rain. I was so nice yesterday, I mowed my yard and two of my neighbors (one away on vacation and the other is 78).

  5. So you need another Speaker Project.... and you like them BIG.... Maybe you like 2-Way but not sure maybe 3-way is better maybe even try some Bi-Amping WARNING..!!!! These are not for the faint of heart who are afraid of maybe getting out of their comfort zone These were produced in 1999 and have first generation K510 and K402 Horns Here is what's included (3) KPT-904-LF-N (Includes LF and HF Network) (3) KPT-402-MF (K402 Horn / K-1133 Driver) (3) KPT-Grand-HF-N (K510 Horn / B&C DE75 Driver / Mid and High Network) (2) KPT-904-HF (K510 Horn / B&C DE75 Driver) (2) KPT-200 All drivers have been tested and sound very good playing BB King and Buddy Guy (Riding With The King). 904 Cabinets have some nicks and scratches and are in good structural condition. The K402 Horns have some stress cracks from the Grand HF having been mounted to them and these can be easily repaired if desired but cause no issue with the sound. (These stress cracks are due to the original design of the small Grand Baffle only being mounted at 2 points which Klipsch changed in later designs). I had intended and suggest either making a larger baffle for the Grand HF like Klipsch did in later design or making a separate mounting stand for the Grand Baffle and not attaching it to the K402 at all. I've owned these for several years and were going to do a custom project with them but no longer have the place or time so I have decided to let them go. I want to clear the room as soon as possible to build a dedicated listening room for my Jubs. So here is the deal ...... $1500 buys everything..!!!! No Shipping.... Sorry At this time I'm only interested in selling as a complete package. Again sorry but as I said previously I'm pricing these to move quickly so any potential buyers who can make arrangements with me to pick-up the earliest gets everything. Please e-mail or PM any questions and I will respond as soon as I possibly can. Location: Maryville,TN roughly 30 miles south of Knoxville,TN Thanks, Mike

  6. After watching a two hour special where the survivors were interviewed I would say it is pretty truthful. Anyone that has watched Hillary speak for 30 years knows she cannot come to tell the truth, no matter who's lives are on the line.

  8. It is clear that this is an incredible opportunity for someone, someone with a vision. This price is a once in a lifetime deal. My sympathy to Mike and his family over what is clearly an episode of insanity. Mike, I hope you recover and come back to your senses, -Tom

  9. I didn't intend for my novela about my late neighbor's Saturn to scare everyone away. At past 9:30 am EDT, no one has posted a greeting of the day. Good morning! We're dialing in the Bunn. It makes great coffee VERY quickly. No more complaints about out gassing. That's one of the benefits of a no beans diet.

  10. Karma will reward you. Margaret, our 90+ neighbor still drove her Saturn to cards and the beauty shop. She had no driveway, so she parked in front of her house. We had a key to her car so we would move it into our driveway when snow was forecast. We would then return it to the curb completely cleared of snow. One day Nancy noticed that Margaret's newspaper was still on her porch. She went in to find Margaret still in bed and not doing well. By the time an ambulance and Margaret's daughter arrived, it was over. Much to the chagrin of Margaret's grandchildren, she left the Saturn to our older son. It was like new, or so it seemed. Margaret had the oil changed religiously at the dealer based on mileage, which meant she got her oil changed every other election. When the timing chain broke at less than 10K, GM blamed it on infrequent oil changes and change of use. Under Margaret's use it never went over 45 mph; not so with our then teenage son. The Saturn and it's timing chain were a subject of a Car Talk episode. Click & Clack sort of agreed that the oil should have been changed more frequently despite low mileage, but they cried BS on the change of use theory. Before you heap undue praise upon me, I confess I had an ulterior motive. I did not imagine that she would leave us the car, but we did benefit by getting it off the street during snowstorms. Had it stayed at the curb, it would have been buried by the snowplows. As they avoided her car, they would have swung wide of the mouth of our driveway leaving more snow to be cleared away. Also, since there was no way I would watch a nonagenarian dig her car out of the snow, it was easier having it in our driveway until the shovelling and snowblower were done.

  12. Right now I'm pretty much stuck with a smaller bedroom system and probably will be for about another year and a half so I've been experimenting with various smaller speakers that will fit my space. I've went from Klipsch RB-81 II's to the RB-75's to the Sunfire CRS-3 Ribbon speakers to my current set up of a pair of KV-4's. All of these speakers have worked very well for TV and movies, absolutely no complaints there at all but when it comes to music each one has had it deficiencies, maybe I've just been forever spoiled by my Chorus II's? Anyway, just sealed a very sweet deal on a pair of these P-17's and can't wait for them to arrive next week!

  14. I had a Spitfire in my garage for few years... needed too much work, guy I got it from dismantled too many sections at once. I could never get past the "where do I start" phase. Now, my son-in-law has it stashed somewhere that I will never see it again. Bruce

  26. Those K402 horns without the drivers are worth more than the price you are asking for the entire system. I am heading back to Cleveland Clinic again for mom today. I would buy this setup for that price just to get the 6 horns. I already have 3 perfect 904's and six 200's.

  30. Cameras are great, but you can never get enough to fully survey your property without over doing it. They don't convict a bad guy and depending on how close they get its still a crap shoot if you get a good face shot. Cameras just don't really offer any early warning to truly protect. They are great piece of mind to check on dogs or toys when away, but if you really want to offer protection, get a decent security system. Having said that, I like my cameras and my three dogs that sleep indoors which will give me somewhat of an early warning. As far as cameras go, I would do HD IP cameras. All you do is run CAT cable to each camera and you're done, no batteries, no charing and no additional power cables. You can set them up to only record with motion present, which is what you want unless you want to keep about 2-3TB on tap for 30-40 days recording in very good quality. Most decent setup ups come with free remote access setup and a phone app to view. Save a few more coins to get great cameras, they will have much better quality in night mode which is what really counts anyway.

  31. He just bought two separate tweeters and installed them as a stand-alone solution with no crossover? The easiest thing to do in situations like this is buy a matched set of separates and replace the woofer at the same time, they come with a proper crossover, not just a cheap capacitor.

  33. A solid box to place your loudspeaker on will reduce the suck out frequency irregularities corresponding to the gap underneath them if using an open stand. That's point number 5 of PWK's eight cardinal points paper, as found on the fourth page of this article. You will get some increase in low frequency extension if you set them on the floor, and an equal amount more if you place them into a full corner. You will lose the least lf extension if you place them on a solid stand with no gaps underneath. Of course, if you place them in corners you might need to absorb the near field early reflections from the midrange horn to the closest side and front wall to the midrange horn to regain your full stereo center imaging. It doesn't take a lot: a 2' x 2' absorption pad will do on each wall. The speakers will then image like they did standing away from the walls. Keep all other equipment racks and other nearfield acoustic reflectors at least 3 feet away. Chris

Kitchen demo starts tomorrow and some cabinets will be reinstalled in the garage.....including granite counter tops. Two little girls rode by on bicycles and yelled "hey lady that's moving in that house". Cute. Thanks for the note Pete.....wish I could make it to Rodney's. Next year for sure. That gives me another year to get even more awesome Mayorga beans from Costco are the bomb. Try it and if you don't like it I'll send you a used toaster Speaking of toasters where is oldtimer?
