  1. Saturday night we made some spam rolls. they tasted great but were way to much sodium. Last night I made some salmon and asparagus with no added salt. It still had plenty of flavor and it didn’t make me feel like my blood pressure was going to take off.

  4. get it right.. We're on our own, cousin All alone, cousin Let's think of a game to play Now the grown-ups have all gone away You won't be much fun Being blind, deaf and dumb But I've no-one to play with today Do you know how to play hide-and-seek? To find me it would take you a week But tied to that chair You won't go anywhere There's a lot I can do with a freak How would you feel if I Turned on the bath Ducked your head under And started to laugh? What would you do if I shut you outside To stand in the rain And catch cold so you died? I'm the school bully! The classroom cheat The nasty play friend You ever could meet I'll stick pins in your fingers And tread on your feet We're on our own, cousin All alone, cousin Let's think of a game to play Now the grown-ups have all gone away You won't be much fun Being blind, deaf and dumb But I've no-one to play with today Do you know how to play hide-and-seek? To find me it would take you a week But tied to that chair You won't go anywhere There's a lot I can do with a freak Maybe a cigarette burn on your arm Would change your expression To one of alarm I'll drag you around by a lock of your hair Or give you a push At the top of the stairs I'm the school bully! The classroom cheat The nasty play friend You ever could meet I'll put glass in your dinner And spikes in your seat

  5. @indvidiosulus Ah eating some sodium on occasion isn't terrible. Just don't make a lifestyle out of it.

  6. Youngest daughter drinks a gallon of water a day. Started that when she got into high school sports, then it was Ohio State hoops. Today? She still drags a one gallon milk jug out every day full of water. Crazy. The sushi? Not in my lifetime. Raw fish is meant for cats and bigger fish imo. Spam? Just gimme a couple cans and I'll break out my trusty P-38 when I'm starvin. BTW, are we out of donuts in this place again? Asking for a friend.

  7. we talk about WAF my wife like the LS and I finally figured out why She fancies boxes. She likes the folded horn as an ornate box. She does like the sound, but, I don't think she appreciates music as much as I do.

  8. Uh... no thanks. I can send ya to LaPorte, IN, though. It's between Chicago and South Bend, IN. Lots of lake effect. I almost got some quiet after getting back. I had Friday... during the day. Wife went into her storage and did some sorting/sifting... and gave me the house. She did this on purpose, mind you. I listened to music, did some cleaning, made bread.... Then wife went to play bingo with her sister. The phone rings... it's my other SIL... she's coming down from Tucson. She got here at 11PM. Would have been earlier... except she cannot find the correct exit from the interstate. She is getting better. She used to not know until she got to the BorderPatrol checkpoint, 10 mile south of the correct exit. Now... she is getting confused by a round-a-bout on the frontage road. Been eating good. Brought a piece of cow [prime rib] home with me... and a side of smoked salmon. Both go fine with fresh bread. And some home grown, vine ripened, freshly picked tomato. The tomatoes are house plants for the time. They volunteered late last summer. I potted them.

  9. I picked this up yesterday from forum member pollyoscar3722. Great transaction BTW. Held it for me until I found time to travel a bit. Someone else asked I do a review of it when I get it. I'll make an attempt at brevity. Here goes. The system it's attached to is:Fisher 440T with 500T output (30+ watts?) and rebuilt-Schiit Modi 3+(the real surprise for me)-Wiim Mini streamer feeding '79 Heresy 1 all OEM and the KG SW also OEM as far as I can tell. I began by positioning it in between the Heresy off to the left with ports facing me. The system is about 12-13 feet away from the speakers so I had to scavenge speaker wire from everywhere to make it work as it's passive and everything runs through the sub. At first I had the sensitivity on high. Too much for me so I changed it to low. Then I listened to everything. Carly Simon,Emerson Lake and Palmer,Crack The Sky,Macy Gray,Diana Krall,Little Feat,Dire Straits....I mean everything. Even listened to the Telarc recording of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overturn by the Cincinnati Philharmonic with the cannons. For about 5-6 hours. Then this morning I listened to Dark Side of The Moon. Because I know it. At least I thought I did. It was a different collection. I heard things never noticed. It's just what I sought. A way to fill out the range of the system without muddy sloppy noise that passes for....oops nevermind. It seems to have eased the load on the Heresy woofer allowing it to do what it does better. The whole soundstage seems bigger in all dimensions and spacious. Bass is brought forward without being forward. It is crisp clean and integral to the music as it was meant to be. For now I'll just listen where it is then maybe I'll change position. I did turn the ports away from listening position but it lost the speed it had. Hope this makes sense to anyone who reads it. This system is my introduction (at 63) to this level of sound quality. I thought my stuff in the '70s was good. Don't mean to gush but this sounds so good I'm afraid to screw with anything. Think I might be done for awhile. I'm surprised the Fisher is as good as it is.

  10. Simply speakers has a recone kit for these in stock. https://www.simplyspeakers.com/klipsch-speaker-passive-radiator-recone-kit-rk-klpkd15.html I’ve never used the kit, but somewhere on here is a writeup about doing the repair.

  11. Spam was ok a few times, but I never had it with the Japanese treatment! I liked that similar canned corned beef with brown mustard. Still do once a year or so. This eve it's tomato, garlic, olives and a little more! First meal today so it's three bowls.

  24. I think as long as you don’t look at the specs, either the power or the distortion, and you like it, then it’s a “good amp” for those that are Carver fans, etc. none that have been independently tested measure up, at least that I have seen. the original 275 review did cause Carver to take back control of the company, and put Clark in as head of sales and marketing. I seem to recall he put one of his kids in somewhere doing something. My personal opinion is these designs are a crap shoot. The credibility of the specs, currently, is near zero. I would say these amps are not for those getting into tubes for first time, but for those who are familiar with his products, tube amps, etc. who can make an informed decision using the 30 day no questions asked return policy.

  27. The Forte III replacement has a logo on the dustcap. That logo will end up 22.5 degrees out of level due to the mounting pattern alignment not being the same between those models. The fitment is not exactly the same either. Some material from the Klipsch Forte II cabinet will need to be removed. Also, the replacement will not fit flush like the original, due to the basket being slightly thicker. The parts department may or may not return your request for parts, a known issue. The availability of used parts on the market is currently zero, but it has been this way for many years. The passive radiator is the most commonly requested replacement part for these speakers. There has never been a direct replacement program put into place since these products went out of production decades ago. What parts were available were swept up a long time ago. If anyone wants to say any of these things are not true, please back up your comments with proof, or better yet, measurements and inventory levels.

  29. My five Klipsch Heresys are 40+ years old and sound better than the vast majority of speakers manufactured today. For your RF-7s I would check to make sure the bi-wire jumpers are tight so that the woofers are getting a good signal.

  30. Thank you for the reply!! I've been eyeing the RC64 for a while and wish I would have done it sooner. Only issue I have now is a rectangular room and bass null. The SVS livens it up but my RF7s sound like a tweeter in my room. I never understood it. 4 10s and zero bass. (facepalm)

  40. @CCG Prices for good caps increased here to nonsense levels 🤔 I checked out Audyne , Mundorf, Jantzen . Had a look at russian Pio`s as well , very difficult to get here . So I´ve decided to go for Jantzen Caps again, price-quality is still fair enough . For the 4 uF replacement I´ve choosen a by pass solution as well , jantzen superior 3,3 uF & 0,68 uf = 3,98 , for the 8 uF replacement I will take a 8,2 uF . The only problem I see with the 8,2 uF is the size approx 2,2 inch Here you can see how to by pass the caps as example If I work on the board anyway I will change the 3R 5W Resistor as well . I´ve choosen a Mundorf Copper Nickel 3,3 R 10 Watt Just my first thoughts on the x-over mod. I won´t change the coils as I measured them in october 2022 last time, they´re fine and w/in the values P.S two hours later .....No , I find out that the board is to small for all these Janzen caps , this only works with a direct wired x-over concept on a completely new board . The X-Over board must be fixed on the base plate of the KM 3.5 Here is an example ....
